stayed at katigiorgis avra studios, absolutely peaceful and tranquil, only complaint would be lack of umberellas on beach, but plenty by pool with a fantastic veiw of the bay, would defintely go back

We stopped in Avra 2 the apartments are basic but very clean the maid came in every day and was very polite and helpful. The pool is kept very clean and taken care of by Dennis who runs the bar he makes everybody feel important. The bar that we liked is the next one down the road about a 3 minute walk called iris bar. It is owned by a couple the husband is Greek and the wife is English they play good music and it is always busy.
It is about a 5 minute walk to the town centre and there is a good selection of tavernas all the ones we tried were very good. We are looking at going back to the Avra next year as we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff.

we have just returned from the avra studio and its very basic. you have to pay for air con at 6 euro per day and for a safe at 7.5 euro per week.The rooms are clean but a few things could be changed like the rusty fridge we have in apartment but it worked well. The apartments are ok for couples that just need to relax and have some where to sleep, but if you have children then nothing but a pool to keep them happy, as the shops are about 5 minute walk for drinks and ice creams.
