What a lovely holiday. We have just spent two glorious weeks at Julies Studios, in the very capable hands of Lampros, who is the Manager/Boss. The accomadation is very 'basic greece' but always clean and tidy, with a spotless swimming pool. Nothing is a problem to Lampros and his fiancee Stavrula, or her mother Ileena. Lampros is always on hand, either at the poolside bar, or driving the guests in the free mini bus back and forward between the Studios and the fantastic Skopelos town.
If you want an action packed holiday, forget Skopelos. We have visited many of the Greek Islands, and this is certainly, for us one of the nicest, nearly unspoilt, [Spoilt only at night by the people riding motor cycles with noisey sports silencers].
Lots of Restaurants and Tavernas in Skopelos town. [No English Pubs to be found, or a Macdonalds, fantastic.] The Town comes alive at night, with lots of walks in the near-by hills during the day, which was our thing.
It was so good we may even have to go back one day. A holiday to remember.

I have stayed in many Self Catering Apartments throughtout Greece and I have to say the Julie Apartments were absolutely superb. Lambros is a great host who looked after us so well, he even gave us a room each as it was a quiet week. The rooms are spotless and more than adequately equipped.
Yes there is a petrol station and supermarket opposite but what could be more handy when the nearest shop is in Skopelos Town.
This location is ideal if you like a walk, about half an hour to the beautiful beach and the town is just ten minutes.
Julie is basic but Lambros more than makes up for anything it might lack.
Enjoy..I hope to go back!

We were the first two guests with Olympic on the island of Skopelos this year [a sure first for us!]. We were met at the Port by the Manager - Lambros and taken to the apartments for a welcome drink. We had the choice of rooms. We chose a lower floor room with a sunny courtyard. We have never felt so looked after. Lambros and Stavrula [his fiancee] could not do anything more to make us feel home from home. The rooms were larger on the ground floor, smaller on the upper levels [as they had a balcony]. The resident cleaner - Natalie - made sure the rooms were serviced every day, bins emptied, floors mopped. Towels and bed linen changed several times in the two weeks of our stay. The grounds were swept daily. The pool was lovely. So clean! Although basic accommodation and a little dated [could do with a refurb], Lambros and Stavrula and Natalie made this place - making sure that everyone had a fabulous holiday - even to the point that Lambros made regular bus services to the town and back [for those who didn't want a 20 min walk]. All in all can highly recommend Julie Studios as an ideal base on the lovely island of Skopelos! Regards Phil and Corin

I loved it, the people were friendly and the greek salads at julies were really good.
The swimming pool was just the right size, not too small ,not too big and i dived for the first time off the diving board.
The holiday was one of the best holidays i've ever had and we will definately be back again!!!!!!!!!

My partner and I went to Skopelos and stayed in the Julie Studios for the first week of our twin centre stay (coupled with Skiathos). We found the Julie Studios to be a very relaxing place to stay with excellant attention to our needs as guests from the Manager Lambross.
Accomodation is basic Greek but very clean and with all you need to make your stay comfortable. Lambross ensures that you are sufficiently fed and watered throughout the day and is always available for advice and guidance on the Island and where is good to eat in the town - he even provides a shuttle bus service to and from the harbour front.

My partner and I are in our late twenties and we must admit others who stayed in the Julie thought we were too young to holiday on Skopelos as it is a quiet and tranquil Island, however we love to explore and hired a Jeep for the week (most recommended!) and drove all around the Island and into the mountains (a little scary in parts!).
This Island had an instant relaxing atmosphere for us and made it the perfect escape for the first week of our holidays, the Julie is a fantastic base on Skopelos.

A noisy road was far outweighed by the kindness and help from Lambros and Annie who run the apartments (Only noticed the noise between 22.00 and 01.00 then is almost dead quiet the rest of the night).
Very friendly and with Lambros running a shuttle several times a day and into the night - he never stops working that guy. The room was spotlessly clean. It was cleaned daily, bathroom cleaned, bins emptied, floor washed and bedding was changed every 2-3 days and was really crisp and clean.
Always making sure everyone is happy, Lambros is the most caring person we have ever met running holiday apartments anywhere. The rooms are cleaned daily and pool cleaned on a daily basis.
Only negative if any was you need to be fit as its a fair walk from the Skopelos Town and although a gentle slope to town takes at least half an hour walking back... remember though Lambros runs a shuttle to the town and the bus stop is almost outside the apartments.
There is a supermarket opposite so its easy for supplies and buses are punctual from outside the apartments to each end of the island.
Good holiday, beautiful Island and would recommend.

Julie's was awful. It is in an awful location, opposite a petrol station that every car seems to stop at.
The room was very basic, and we expected that, but it was filthy, unhygienic and to be honest, not in a fit state for anyone to stay in. I would think Olympic should drop it from their books.
We were one of 2 couples to leave (of course having to pay for it). The other two couples said they were going to complain when they returned home.
If you have any sense of not wanting to be ill from the state of Julies Apartments and the swimming pool too, do not go to Julies at Skopelos.

What a fantastic holiday my wife and I enjoyed at the Julie Studios. The owner Lampross (not LamBross), and Annie could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble.
The accommodation is basic, but very clean and tidy; the pool and bar areas are excellent. Lampross also serves a mean breakfast, from coffee and toast to the full works.
We have just booked to go again next year, this is the first time we have ever returned to a place where we have been before, it is that special.

I have just returned from a 2 week holiday at Julie Studios. It was truly fantastic!
I have been fortunate to stay at some of the best hotels in the world, but I don't believe I have ever received such a friendly, personal welcome as i received at Julie! Lambros and Annie just couldn't do enough to make me welcome and ensure I had an enjoyable stay. Nothing was to much trouble!
My room was spotlessly clean! it was cleaned daily, bathroom cleaned, bins emptied, floor washed etc. my bedding was changed every 2-3 days and was really crisp and clean! Then there were the little personal touches like bowls of plums and cherries left in my room!
The pool area was immaculate! I spent the majority of my time here as I wanted to just relax for the 2 weeks and it was spotless! Cleaned thoroughly, twice per day. There were a variety of sun beds with comfy cushions and tables and chairs around the pool, some shaded by olive trees, some in full sun from 8am!
The studios are set amongst olive trees and plum trees which look fantastic. Once again. Lambros and Annie would sweep the surrounding ground at least once a day, picking up leaves etc.
The hotel is situated on a main road (or should I say the only road through Skopelos) But this really does not pose a problem! I live on a silent modern estate in the Surrey countryside, so I would have noticed if there were disruption, but it truely didn't bother me at all. Yes cars and trucks would go by and would pull into the petrol station opposite the hotel, but, it was not like being on a motorway! Far from it!
Skopelos itself is a lovely island. Still relatively untouched by tourists! So you get to see real Greece! There is the small town with a variety of waterfront restaurants, all very reasonable in cost!! Please make sure you try the Cheese Pie! And Seafood Spaghetti! Yum yum!
The town is roughly a 15-20 min steady walk from the studios, not a tough walk! However for those who prefer, Lambros runs regular minibus transport to/from the accommodation.
The nearest beach is a 20-25 min walk (again an easy walk!) or you could get a bus (which runs regularly from town) However personally, I would walk into town and take a ferry to Glyisteri beach. it cost about 10 E for a return crossing and takes you to a lovely small bay beach with a great taverna etc, Really nice!
But personally, I was happy just lounging by the pool at Julie!
A number of guests had stayed at Julie before and returned, this speaks volumes in itsefl! I would not hesitate to return there in the future.
Hope you enjoy your holiday at Julie, I did!

I stayed here on the 1st week of my twin center holiday with Skiathos. Lambross the owner was great, he would order in pizza's for you, drop you off in the town and pick you up.
The apartments are basic but very clean, pool area great, it is noisy on the main road, so take some ear plugs. And you are opposite a petrol station, however you stop noticing it after a few days. There is a walk into the town but on an evening it is pleasant. I loved Skopelos, plenty of good restaurants, it is busy in high season with lots of people arriving on the ferries.
I stayed in Troulos in Skiathos for my 2nd week, much preferred Skopelos, I went from being totally Greek to an English/Greek resort. Enjoy the island, lovely beaches we hired a moped, roads were okay. I will go again and visit this lovely island.
