Mythos Apartments

We booked our holiday through Freedom Direct from the teletext. We had never been to Greece before, so we did not know what to expect at all, so the information that was given to us from the booking rep was very valuable, and all the information was spot on. We arrived in Troulos in Skiathos on 22nd July and stayed for 2 weeks.
The studios were fantastic. Very clean and spacious, and although there was no air con, we had a small fan to keep us cool at night. The bathroom was very clean and we had hot running water from the shower. The pool was lovely, and was maintained every night.
Alex and Nota were the owners of the studios and there hospitality was second to none. It was like staying with family! Nothing was too much trouble. We had a few problems with the wasps around the pool, but they did everything in their power to keep them at bay. They are very caring people and worry about you as if you were family!
The cleaners were great, they cleaned our rooms every day if we wished and the bedding and towels were changed on a twice weekly basis. The food at the bar was basic but very good, Notas chips are the best on the Island!
The resort is quite hilly, but you get used to the steep walks after a day or two. We went horse riding at koukanaries which was great. I would advise you hire a jeep as a lot of the Islands views and beaches can only be seen by car, or boat.
The taverns were fantastic. The best that I would personally recommend would be the Paradosi, Vireli, Zorbas and Doissneu which is in Skiathos town, but most of the tavernas are good value for money, it worked out at approx 25-30 euro’s per meal with wine and coffee for two.
The resort is beautiful, and I would recommend anyone wanting to go to Greece to go to this Island. There is a very good bus service, although it does get very busy, and there is a taxi service, they normally stop if you are waiting at a bus stop and offer you a price for the fare. Overall, great beaches, great food, great accommodation, great company, Skiathos town is very picturesque and does retain some culture, and has some lovely craft shops as well. Will definitely go back, even though I do not normally return to the same Island twice.
Thank you to Nota and Alex and everyone at the Mythos Studios for making our holiday one to remember. We were asked to write in the comments book before we left, even if it was something bad, but we said the only bad thing was that we had to leave them behind and return home!!
