This is our fourth time staying with Taxi Elene & family. We felt like part of the family returning here for my 50th birthday on 26th July 08 and it was wonderful to be met with such a warm welcome. We cannot speak highly enough of the family and I know that everyone who goes there returns year after year. The rooms are basic but thats what you get in Greece and we are well used to that. The apartments are ideal for getting into town and the food/drink prices were perhaps on a par with those over here (slightly cheaper) but you get double the amount of spirits in the drinks! We love Tsougria and thats where I spent my birthday on the beach drinking Champagne! We especially loved two of the restaurants the one just 100 yards past Polikratis beginning with an A (cant remember how you type it!) and the one in the old town where the bouzouki man plays everynight and you sit in the "garden" begins with an E! All in all we adore Skiathos and are going to Lefkas in September so wonder if it it will live up to it but we will see.

i am 14 years old i love it in skiathos the people at taxiarchis studios are very friendly and they make you feel very welcome the apartments are very well kept it is about a 2 min walk from the main town and 5 min walk to the beach this will be the third time i have been to skiathos i am going 1 week on friday

Well what can I say? I’m only 26 and I imagined Skiathos to be a quiet place but I was totally surprised, if you wanted a fun, boozy night there was plenty of pubs to choose from. The Taxiarchis topped of the holiday, the family was so friendly they wouldn’t think twice about getting the bbq on. We also met a few couples who go there year after year, we just booked to go back in June.
The two sons who work there was a right laugh, our room was kept spotless. I’ve read a few reviews about the noise, but you only sleep in your room so it didn’t bother us one bit.
We also tried out a few beaches which were beautiful.

Me and my boyfriend have recently returned home from our two week holiday in Skiathos, staying in the Taxiarchis apartments. These apartments are situated 2 minutes away from the beach, and town. Perfect location.
Taxiarchis apartments are run by a very friendly family, that make you feel welcome from start to end. The apartments are basic but kept very clean and tidy. The pool and bar are cleaned everyday.
Overall our holiday was fantastic and we cant wait to go back again next year.

The best ever holiday, the family who run these studios are the most friendly we have ever met. The studios are basic but so clean. A lovely pool and bar area. All amenities are so close, the beach is 2 minutes away and the town and harbour only 5 minutes.
Taxi and his family work so hard to make your holiday memorable and always have time for their guests. My son and I were truly sad to be coming home. Food and drink at the bar were very reasonably priced and very tasty. We met lots of people who had stayed there before and we could see why. We definitely will be returning in the future.
The studios are in a great place for exploring this tiny little island, but we didn't really do much of that, the pool was so nice we chose to lounge by it most of the time and just venture into town for dinner and then spend the wee hours by Taxi's bar. A fab holiday in a great place with truly lovely people.

We recently returned from the best holiday we have had in the Greek Islands. Skiathos. It is a lovely island made better by the people who run the Taxiarchis Apartments.
From the moment you arrive, they make you feel welcome and by the time you leave, you feel like part of their family. The apartments themselves are simple but with everything necessary and kept spotlessly clean.
The pool and bar are well kept and so friendly. The apartments are well situated for the centre of Skiathos Town, the nearest beach and the bus stop.
The only down side is the traffic noise but you soon get used to it. We can't wait to go back.

A friend and I have just returned from the best holiday we have ever had in Greece. Skiathos is a lovely island and made even better by Taxiarchis, his wife, Elena and their sons Panis and Stavros.
From the moment you arrive you are made to feel like part of their family. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I'm not ashamed to say that I was fighting back the tears when we left. We will definitely be back.
The apartments themselves are basic but perfectly adequate. They are kept spotlessly clean with plenty of linen and towel changes. The pool and bar areas are small but again immaculate. And Elena does a great breakfast.
The noise from the nearby road is distracting at first but we soon got used to it and it didn't detract from the holiday at all. The nearest beach is only two or three minutes walk away as is the centre of Skiathos Town.
There is an excellent choice of cafes and tavernas to suit any taste. All in all, a fantastic holiday.

This was a lovely clean place and is run by a family who are fantastic very friendly and helpful and made our holiday so much. We intend going back this year, highly recommended

Well what can I say my two weeks flew by! It was the best holiday I have ever had! I am returning back to taxiarchis apes for definite.
When I left I felt like one of the family! The whole family was so welcoming! I felt so jealous leaving and the new people arriving. I want to go back next week! I have just returned from there.
I have booked my next holiday and counting down lol. Bring on July 2006! Missing taxiarchis and family already!
