Hotel Description:
Set in its own tranquil gardens the Mandraki Hotel offers a friendly & relaxed atmosphere. Ideally situated with the beautiful sandy beach and shops, bars and tavernas all within easy reach and easy access to many other lovely beaches.
The Mandraki Hotel is a fantastic boutique hotel which wouldn't be out of place in a main European city. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation is great: very modern, fully equiped bathroom with proper shower cubicle and air conditioning. My only critism is that we had an east facing room and the very pretty white cotton curtains didn't block out the early morning sun and we were awake at the crack of dawn every day.
The restaurant at the Mandraki is out of this world although I would have liked there to have been more traditional Greek dishes on the menu rather than international/European.
The pool and grounds were lovely although the water could have been a few degrees cooler. Also the pool was lined with a brown shingle type substance rather than the normal cool blue tiles, which gave it an unappealing look.
The hotel is situated in an ideal situation, 5 minutes walk from the beach and minutes away from a selection of restaurants and bars. The sea was the clearest I've ever seen and the sand was the softest and I've felt, even in St Lucia.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend the Mandraki Hotel.
