Wow, what can I say - fantastic holiday.
The Mirage Hotel is beautiful, clean, & spacious with huge rooms. Our room had a view of the 'strip' - wonderful at night.
Friendly staff at the hotel and the people all over Las Vegas. Very clean, felt safe at all times. Warm weather, even in October.
The food was great - best value was the morning buffets - all you could eat for £7.00 - setting you up for the day!
I would recommend watching the fountains at the Bellagio, going to see the Lions at the MGM resort and just people watching.
Had a free helicopter ride over the strip at night - this came with the holiday. Also, went on a day trip to the Hoover Dam.
We had a week there, but could have spent 2 - it would take a whole day just to look around each hotel - they are so big!

Las Vegas is excellent if you are a gambler, smoker, and agoraphobic. Actually that's a bit harsh. We didn't really enjoy the casinos as we don't gamble.
However, the attractions are out of this world. Where else can you see The Statue of Liberty, The Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumph, the Pyramids, and the Coliseum all in one street. The weather is surprisingly cold in January which took us by surprise. We had to buy some extra clothes, but with the amount of shops close by this wasn't hard.
The Mirage is a bit dated compared to other Hotels like the Wynn or MGM Grand but it is still quality. With White Tigers in the lobby and excellent restaurants it is a great base to visit the Strip.
We went for 7 days which was too long for us, 3 would have been enough but if you enjoy the gambling and nightlife you can’t go wrong.

The mirage hotel is a wonderful hotel, the staff are alright. I hate the fact that you have to tip for everything in USA but that’s the same in all hotels... The best thing of all is the free drinks whilst you gamble. I played the 1c machines and spent a total of $1 and had free Budweiser all night... And I won $100 in the end... bargain..
Enjoy your stay..

Myself and my husband, went to Vegas in May 2007 for our 25th anniversary and stayed at the Mirage. After being delayed at Gatwick for 5 hours, we were both well excited when we landed.
The hotel was amazing, the staff very friendly and we had a fantastic view at the top overlooking the Dolphin enclosure and the swimming pool and Caesars Palace.
We both love to play poker but be prepared to lose money unless you have a good hand, we ended up playing on the slot machines for 1 & 5c, you could be on there all day if you wanted, they are great fun.
Take a trip to the Grand Canyon by helicopter - breathtaking.
Recommend the outlets for designer clothes, got some really great bargains for our grandchildren and us.
Tried the buffets at the Mirage (breakfast great) the Bellagio (evening meal) well worth paying that bit extra.
It’s true what they say ‘Vegas never sleeps’, we got chatting to some of the local residents, really friendly and they helped us on those great computerised fruit machines.
We had a fantastic time the weather wasn't too hot 85 to 100 but we did drink lots of water all day as the heat is very dry.
The Mirage is a great location right in the middle of the strip and you can get the shuttle to Treasure Island which saves your feet.
We are going back again in May 2008 and staying the other end of the strip at the Monte Carlo, can’t wait. This time I will make sure I sleep on the way to Vegas, so we can enjoy the first day more, as you do get over tired being 8 hours difference behind.
