We stayed at this hotel for 7 days. Area mostly lager louts and 'free women.' Noise was very disturbing as people would arrive back at 3.30am bang and slam doors with no regard for others. Food very bland, much the same each evening meal and plenty of queueing to get your meal any way. Went out to dinner on two evenings. If you had a cooked breakfast the bacon came covered in some sort of liquid.
We found the reception staff very helpful, but the restaurant staff were very surley and were always ready to move you from the dining room, by taking your plate before you had finished your meal.
We would not go back to the hotel again,it was mainly for the younger people who wanted to drink and basically cause a nuscience.
The beds were hard and only one pillow and plenty of gnats.
If you want a quiet holiday, and able to sleep at night don't go to this hotel.

My partner and I stayed 2 weeks in the Don Bigote. The room was cleaned every day, clean sheets, towels etc. Breakfast was a bit monotonous, (bacon, eggs, sausage etc..) don't try the cornflakes, unless you're partial to cardboard! Friendly staff in the restaurant (not so much at the reception, though they try...) friendly barstaff. Internet a bit expensive (1 Euro for 15 mins). Evening meal absolutly excellant! different variety everyday, sweets added a few inches to my waist :-) overall I would rate this hotel very highly, especially as it is only a 2 star hotel. Recomend bringing a DVD player from home as there is no TV in the room..would go again!

october 2008 we have just spent a week at this hotel, we are 2 couples aged 60/65.we were very pleased as it was our friends first time abroad and they were on a tight budget we chose this hotel.we have been in 4 star hotels and we have to say the food wasnt as good as this one. fresh an excellent choice of at least 3 different meats, sweets to die for and a proper cooked breakfast as well!!
Staff friendly had a couple of problems with electric and water in the room but these were dealt with promtly
Rooms a bit small but cleaned daily and plenty of clean towels, comfy beds and we were even given an extra pillow without having to ask as we used our blankets on our
first night
Dont use the supermarket across the road walk around the corner to the spar you will find everythin half the price. we were charged 2 euros 50 for water ad it is only 99 cents around the corner.
The only downside for us was noise at night, we were unfortunate enough to have a party of single men and one of women on our floor what slappers they were!! in and out of the mens rooms, all night and they werent youngsters either, in fact it was the younger generation the were more respectful on our floor. disgusting makes me ashamed to be british.

me and my boyfriend went to the don bigote palma nova, majorca its a loveley place to go but the hotel is discusting. our cold water was yellow we had no hot water for the first couple of days. the food was the same nearlly every day. my boyfriend had pork one day and it looked like they had slung it in the oven for 5 minutes it was so pink inside. the food looked like it had been sittin there for 3 hours before we ate it. the hotel reception staff are the rudest people i have ever met. but the bar staff of the hotel were absoluty wonderful. some shops quite dear some quite cheap. marine land and western park i would reccomend to anyone. the wether was good but on the last day it rained but was still hot. there is no entertainment at all in the don bigote so we found ourselves going to the aqua sol hotel just two seconds round the corner we wish we had gone there instead. clubs such as bananna joes and bcm are good if your up for a laugh. there are no tv's in the rooms. our head board was nearlly falling off the wall. we had a light above our bed which looked like a sun bed light. it was a terrible stay at the don bigote and i do not reccomened it to anybody. apart from that it was a lovely break.

Went on a stag do. Hotel was clean and tidy, good central location within Palmanova.
Great sea view.
If you're taking your wife/partner, it's not really a couples location. If you're going with mates for a laugh, ideal.

Don Bigote was a basic hotel with friendly staff. The down side was the noise of groups of people coming back to the hotel late at night, instead of going to their rooms quietly they would run along the corridors and shout at the top of their voices. they would also go onto their balconies and shout at their friends on may be on the next floor. These same groups would take over the pool area in the afternoon and leave a mess behind them. For the ten days we stayed in this hotel, the reception staff received at least 10 complaints each morning. I therefore would not recommend this hotel to anyone that was looking for a relaxing holiday or piece and quiet at night.

me and my partner went for 7 days to hotel don bigote. overall the hotel was standard, nothing to luxuirous. the food was absolutlty lovly, somthing for everyone, though even though your half board you still pay for drinks at dinner time. breakfast time there was cooked breakfest to cereal to cakes and toast with free orange juice and tea.
the reception was ok. they were not to bothered about helping with inquiries.
The bedroom was ok, seeing as we where half board i didnt expect anything to much only what you really needed. beds, desk with mirror and a double wardrobe. The b
bathroom was lovly and spacois, i dont no if it differs to what side you are.
the rooms where cleaned every day, though the forign cleaners talked ever so loud outside our room every morning.
i would recomend this hotel only for people who love noise as there are a lot of young girls who go into magaluf at night to BMC and the clubs dont shut untill 7am so you can imagien the amount of scottish coming back at 4AM in was A blooming night mare.

The place was like a sess-pit. The only peolpe who seem to stay at that hotel are lager-louts and slags. The noise was terrible, every night I was woken around 4am by riff-raff who were only interested in having sex with strangers, as shown by the used condom in the lift. The staff were ignorant and unhelpful and the pool was disgusting and littered with rubbish. The rooms were extremely basic with only a bed, a wardrobe and a single light for the whole apartment. The bathroom was horiffic and very unhygienic; there was yellow coloured water flowing from the taps, writing on the walls and a broken shower. The balcony doors, when locked, rattled loudly as did the "safety deposit box" due to the large crack along the back of the wardrobe, where it appeared to have been ripped out from the wall. When we brought this to the attention of the reception staff they brushed aside our complaints, gave us no help and therefore we only stayed one night.

Amazing!
If your young and just want the basics then this hotel is spot on.
If your like us and make noise all through the night then it's best to get to know the security. Nearly every night they were at the door telling us to be quiet but they were a good laugh and only doing their job. Try and take your own music as the pool doesn't have any music.
Definately go again but even for people like us who are only 18 a week on the drink was enough and couldn't handle any more than a week.
It's only a short walk into magaluf strip but we done a mini pub crawl every night on our way so never really noticed the walking.
If you like your gambling go to Eastenders bar through the day as they put racing UK on and take bets! Absolutely superb!
9/10!

Went to Palma Nova in June 2 Scottish gals had wicked time!!!!!!!!!
The accomodation and food was excellent something for even fussy eaters to eat!!!! (sausage, burgers loads of chips and salad)
The staff were amazing (thanks for some free drink) they were very helpful and up for a laugh. Cleaners in everyday.
Excellent hotspot for young and lively groups! and 4 euro to Maguluf which you could walk in 15 mins (if your sober)
Fantastic pizza place across from hotel when you get in quite late and hungry.
Dont go to the local shop across from the hotel its soooo expensive!! If you turn left outside hotel and walk 2mins there is a big supermarket (which looks like its on a roof top) Its way cheaper water for 0.20 and in the shop its 1.50.
Booking up for next year, just wanna say thanks to everyone who made my hol amazing!!!!!

Went to majorca in June 2008 with my twin sister, both 22. Went from the manston airport in kent for the first time and have to say i was abit worried about i dunno being left on our own but when you arrived there, the rep was really helpful and answered any questions we had. We stayed at the don bigote hotel in palma nova. The hotel was clean and have a friendly lively atmosphere, only thing is it could do with updating but who cares really. The location was amazing, there was lots to do and you could never get bored. Lots of shops and bars and the beach just round the corner from the hotel. There was a bus shop about 2 minutes away from the hotel which will take you to all the main attractions. Must admit didnt try out the taxis in the area so i can't comment on that. Could not fault the location, perfect for anyone. Loved it! Went on a few excursions, they were alot of fun and a good way to meet people. Must say tho' it was abit strange when we were left to find our own way to places, was abit worried that we wouldn't make it in time but everything did go to plan in the end. Went to see the pirate adventure show, that was amazing. It is quite pricey but it is def worth every penny and one of the highlights of my holiday. I would say Magaluff is about 15 - 20 minutes walk from the hotel which isn't too bad, it's a great night out but i would def says its for the younger generation. Drink are not too badly priced, but some bars can be expensive so be careful. There are alot of good places to go tho'. Would recommend it to anyone but in high season would suit young family and people in their late teen and 20's the most. I always said i would never go to the same place twice but had a fantasic holiday and i hope to go again in the future. Maybe would try a different hotel.

Stayed here with my 3 girlfriends at the end of June 2008 - few good things and bad things about these apartments!
Pool area was lovely although not enough sunbeds so we had to lie on the grass. Staff at the pool bar and inside bar were lovely - always chatted you up and gave you free stuff!
Didn't really go to any of the entertainment nights they put on so can't comment on that.
Very noisy hotel - as it is a freestyle this is what we wanted and made some wicked friends - we knew pretty much everyone on the first floor and definitely had a few wild nights! Left our door open and people would say hello.
Security guard was a major pain in the ass, it is a freestyle hotel so we assumed there would be noise but he would complain every 5 mins about the noise and music and make you get in your room and slam your door. Also pushed my injured friend out of his wheelchair threatening to beat him up and threw the wheelchair in the lift!
Maids occasionally cleaned if they felt up to it but rarely changed the towels.
Room was a bit skanky tbh - very small esp with 3 beds in - you can't move!
Bathrooms are in need of some serious updating.
Doors were easily pushed open so gotta be careful there.
Magaluf itself is only a 15 minute walk away so we didn't mind walking into it as it wasn't hilly, don't really remember the walks back!
All in all was an amazing holiday but wouldn't recommend the Bigote, felt a bit like a hostel!
