The metropole hotel is everything you would expect from a contemporary hotel but with a tasteful luxury and unique character. Conference and reception facilites 10 meeting rooms from 5 to 500 people, gastronomical restaurant L'Alban Chambon (open on weekdays fro lunch and dinner) health care centre Bio Etna, Valet service and a great cafe terrace for people watching.

Brussels is a great place to visit, but was surprisingly expensive. A beer [less than a pint] can cost €4 to €5 in many bars. This hotel was also lavishly expensive, but it was a 5 star, and was perfect for a special anniversary.

Right in the centre of Brussels, it was great for seeing the sights and the superb architecture, and also for public transport. We didn’t eat in the hotel as it was very expensive, but we saw the dining facilities and they were truly splendid and the 19th century original features were quite stunning. Highly recommended for a weekend break.
