This was amazing, we went for a family wedding, all 60 of us, but my family was me, my husband and 5yr old son and all catered for wonderfully!!
This hotel has just been refurbished and is amazing, the rooms are modern, light crispy clean, clean bed linen and towels almost daily - great!
Food was amazing, and the service in Jamaican time, nice and relaxing, but very friendly... Yeh man
Not a lot to do outside the resort, a few shops but not a lot, markets too, but the locals keep hasseling you, just ignore and be friendly is the best approach
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and no need to tip unless you feel the need.
Pool great and the fact there is a water park attched too, which my 5yr old loved, and so did the adults, expecially the lazy river, mind you the slides were good too!!
There are 3 places to eat, the main restaurant then the Italian (book first) then the Three Palms (book first) all very good, and nice to have a change of scenery every other night. If you arelooking for a place to go and relax, have cocktails brought to your sun lounger, cold flannels to cool down and a massage by the beach front (highly recommended) then this is the place to be, good for kids too, plenty of entertainment for them too, diving, glass bottom boat, kayaking and loads more to do for the adults too ( on all inclusive)
All very enjoyable and would gladly go again next year - YEH MAN !!!

We travelled to Wyndham Rose Hall to get married in Setember 2005.
On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly staff and were escorted to our room. As we arrived in the evening we headed to the lobby bar. The staff make it very clear what is included in the all inclusive option and your room key is also your all inclusive ticket which can be quite annoying knowing that you always need that card with you.
The lobby bar is the quietest but also closest to the nightclub. Some nights depending on the weather it can get quite busy and there is not alot of tables and chairs. The cocktail bar is a must and for anyone who enjoys lethal drinks should try these. Our favourite was Hummingbird as it does not taste of alcohol but after having a few from our favouite waiter they really make an impact!
The nighclub was ok most of the time although the music can get repetative but the DJ on a Thursday is a must for R&B fans. It is open till all hours for those party animals out there though which is good. Again it does get busy but you can get drinks from the lobby bar which saves time.
The entertainment was superb. Never a dull moment especially if you get chatting to the in-house bands as they will play requests for you all night. If you are lucky enough to have Jem Myers visit I advise you to not miss it! She is excellent!
The buffet restuarant was ok but very busy and the food could be quite repeatative on occasions. Java Cafe was excellent and the variety was superb. As for the al a carte restaurants they are a must! Three Palms over at the golf club is amazing and the Italian restaurant has a huge variety of food, especially the desserts!
Lunch can be hit or miss. The buffet bar is not always open so you are limited to the Java lunch menu or beach snacks. If you get peckish in the afternoon we found on our last day that Java does cookies and tea/coffee to take away.
The wedding service could have been better as we had to chase them for things. If you are planning to get married here and order flowers make sure that you take them to your room as we didnt and did not see them again after paying for them. The cake that they made for us was lovely though but didnt last long! The photographer and videographer are worth the money as we came away with amazing pictures and a great video/DVD to remember the day by.
The pool areas are excellent and not just for the kids. We spent the majority of our time floating round the lazy river in a rubber ring. Careful though as this is a perfect way to get sunburnt as my hubby found out! The waterpark area can get over crowded but there are plent of hidey holes to escape to.
We did Dolphin Cove and Dunns River Waterfall. This was out of this world and highly advisable even if you have swam with dolphins before we would still advise a trip to Dunns River Waterfall. Be careful if you decide to buy the video though as we heard that people bought this and it was not their group being filmed.
We also did rafting on the Martha Brae. This was very peaceful especially for us honeymooners! Be prepared for the captains to show you their wares and take some money with you just in case something takes your fancy. We also did the Luminous lake but do not do this if it has been raining as you pay $40 to go in a boat at night and see some luminous water is a bucket in the boat!
We thoroughly enjoyed Jamaica and especially Wyndham, we will be booking to go again and we extremly jealous of those who are going! Hope this helped!

" We flew with Thomson, hopefully not... "

We flew with Thomson, hopefully not to be repeated as they really are miserable. Not one smile crossed their faces both going and coming back. Immigration was a nightmare, which they really need to sort out, 2.5 hrs!
Upon arrival, hotel looked spacious and can honestly say although in places, the furnishings were a little shabby (this is being rectified as £35 million being spent on refurb later this year), the hotel was good. The Italian al la carte restaurant is a must, very attentive and food to die for. The Three Palms - the first time there fantastic, rated that over the Italian, but when we went second time, our food was cold, which we left and we didn't bother to wait for our dessert, as we had already waited 15 mins and also only been offered one drink, whereas the first time, they kept checking to see whether any more was required.
Beach good, the water was very warm, but it was murky, and you couldn't see through it. Pool water equally warm, and where we spent a lot of our time. The lazy river is great and I don't know who had the most fun, the adults or the children. The hotel really needs to look at their entertainment, as it usually starts around 9.00pm and finishes around 10 - 10.30pm, and its really not that good. Didn't see any entertainment staff during the day.
Kids entertainment is pretty much non-existent apart from a games room, lazy river, basketball. If it wasn't for my child who is 11 being outgoing it would have been very boring for him.

" Just returned from Rose Hall Resort... "
Submitted By: Mrs S Cuddy
Just returned from Rose Hall Resort in Jamaica. After reading all the reports about the hotel I have to admit that most were correct.
Flight I cannot criticise. Everything was fine. Only fault was that the staff on board (Direct Holidays) were quite miserable and this was especially the case on the return journey. A smile does help.
Check in at the hotel was a little delayed probably because of the number of people doing so.
Taken up to our room (310) and immediately disappointed with the corridors. How dated and in some parts quite dirty. It was quite depressing and we had not even reached our room.
The room was very clean but again very dated indeed. The hotel definitely should not have a 4 star rating. Way over the top.
The grounds were very clean and well kept. Probably the best part of the hotel really. The water park was good and there were plenty of tubes when we were there but probably not enough when the hotel is full to capacity.
Food - The two restaurants which you had to book for were excellent. The Three Palms being the best.
The Terrace Restaurant (buffet) was ok but nothing too appealing really.
Whilst there we must have seen about 10 - 12 weddings. Not for us as once over they mingle with all other guests even drinking from plastic cups. We thought the weddings were quite tacky but the couples seemed quite happy so that is the main thing.
Will be willing to answer any queries.
Overall - NOT definitely, NOT a 4-star rating/ The hotel needs bringing up to date and repairing many things which need repairing.
Did we have a good holiday - Yes. The trips were excellent but would recommend booking inside the foyer of the hotel and not with your rep. They are far more expensive but we found this out too late in the holiday.
Bring it down to a 2-star and it will fit the bill perfectly.
Beach was kept clean but was not very big and was no good for snorkeling. Think Negril would have been a better choice for us.

Stayed for 2 weeks 5th April - 19th April
It was a wonderful place to stay found it difficult to find fault despite the 4 days of non stop rain in the second week.
Joined Wyndham by request before we went, got the quick check in promised and a sea view room that was great even found that 1 of the TV channels was fox soccer channel that showed live premiership games and the late sky sports news at 6pm Jamaica time so could keep up with the footie scores and see the goals.
Wyndham by request gave us a late check out 2pm instead of 11am the drinks and snacks promised on arrival by Wyndham by request never arrived but as they say in those parts "no problem"
No problem was often said by the super staff who really did try to make your stay the best it could be.
I am a fussy eater with an aversion to spicy food, but the buffet style in the terrace let you try little bits of the many choices on offer. Strangely after giving some of the spicy foods a try I oddly found them to my likening.
As one who normally wont eat rice I found rice and peas one of my favourites.
Breakfast gave a vast array of choices and the omelette station was brill as an Englishman did not know you could have eggs so many ways.
The 2 restraunts you have to pre book were really top notch the Luna Marr staff made our silver wedding one to really remember the Three palms was wonderful.
The pool and beach areas were well laid out with many empty sunbeds at all times of the day although some people raced for their spot every day! Why?? One good touch around the beach and pool was the iced water and lemonade barrels placed around the site save on having to take bottled water down with you. The tap water was no problem and tasted better than in the UK.
I am missing floating round the lazy river (one of the best parts of the stay) already.
A truly memorable stay get out and about the island if you can it is not only the hotel staff who make your stay great but all the people of the wonderful Island of Jamaica.
The only thing that spoiled it was the awful trip home paid for an upgraded flight non-available homeward bound had to go to Canada to refuel. Knees crammed into the seat in front. It took a week to stop limping when I got home. Due in 6.50 am arrived 3.00pm

The bedrooms were very nice, the first thin g i look at is the bathroom which was very nice:)

there is lots of entertainment for the kids, like they have a games room with wii's, computers, playstation2, pacman and even put on movies for them to watch but outside there is alot of watersports for them, differnt slides in the second swimming pool, and even an activity centre if youu want to play an odd bored game or read a book:)
