My wife and I have been to Barbados over 40 times since 1973. A couple of times we stayed in other places. Then we discovered the Magic Isle. You can't beat the location. It's within 15 minutes of the airport and Bridgetown. Everything you need (groceries, bank, liquor... more

This lovely aparthotel is situated right on Accra Beach at Rockley. A gate from the grounds leads straight onto the soft, white, sandy beach, shaped like a crescent, edged with palm trees, and with the crystal clear Caribbean breaking onto it. Swimming immediately in... more

Good clean accommodation. Well positioned for getting around the island as transport stops outside the apartments. Beach is beautiful and the complex has an excellent pool with good sun loungers tables and chairs. Around the pool has been retiled and new furniture is there... more

Great location, great staff!
This review is a bit late as we have now been back 4 months. The accomodation is spacious and clean. It is ideally located with the gardens opening onto the beach. All staff were great from the daytime reception ladies, the cleaners and the young man on overnight security. I forgot the pool man! He was there 7am every day conscientiously doing his job. The reasonably fit could walk either to St Lawrence Gap (25-30 mins)or Bridgetown (30mins) if you could avoid stopping to eat, drink or take a dip. There is a large selection of places to eat from Bubbas, the shiny bright sports bar opposite, to the smaller, more intimate restaurant whose name escapes me. It's on the same side of the road a few hundred yards towards Bridgetown, before Opa, with a french "ish" name run by a couple of locals. They are so helpful that they made a special sauce to accompany my wife's steak ensuring there was no garlic. Excellent food and service. At the apartments the grounds and pool are well kept and it was difficult to get my wife onto the beach. She loved the peace and quiet around the pool. Will be going back again and again. Can't wait!!
Is This Paradise ?
Spacious, clean, and very well equipt apartments with a quiet and beautiful beach some fifty yards or less away. Helpful friendly staff. Would happily go back tomorrow but will have to wait till next year. The position is excellent for reaching the livelier nightlife of St Lawrence Gap etc. THANK YOU Magic Isle Apartments will see you again. Is This Paradise? It's close enough for me
are great
We've just returned from the Magic Isle having just spent two fantastic weeks there(room 304). The staff are very helpful and friendly, the guys who look after the pool and the grounds do a great job. The rooms are very neat and tidy and are kept this way on a daily basis by the maids. All the staff, the apartments and the grounds are a credit to the management. If you want any info about the surrounding area (eating out, shopping etc) don't hesitate to e-mail me and Iwill get back to you as soon as I can.
Best on the Island !
My family & I first visited Magic Isle 5 years ago, we have since returned every year. The apartments are huge, immaculately clean, the bedrooms are air conditioned! and the staff are friendly and the maids work extremely hard to make your stay enjoyable. The apartments all have sea view and the beach is nearly always empty. Pure Heaven on Earth. Well done Magic Isle, you're one in a million.
Magic Isle - our home away from home!
We've stayed at the Magic Isle perhaps 8 or 9 times and every time we love it even more. In fact, we married there! It's on a wonderful beach, close to amenities and very comfortable to stay at. The staff are very pleasant, helpful and make us feel at home. We've never been happier on vacation than in sunny Barbados at the Magic Isle!
Terrific place
My husband and 8 other friends stayed at Magic Isle in February and really enjoyed the apartments. The beach access was perfect and many restaurants nearby. The shops were great.
Fantastic Place!
My boyfriend and I booked a last minute deal via teletext, and travelled 3 weeks after. We wasn't told where we were staying, just that we'd be 'allocation on arrival'. We didn't expect anything special, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our balcony looked over the sea, our apartment was cleaned everyday, with fresh towels and bed linen being provided. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Would thoroughly recommend anyone to visit there if they get the chance
number 1...can't wait to go back
Have had the pleasure of staying at the magic isle many times .It feels like our second home . the staff are friendly and helpful .it is right on the most beautiful beach ,and central to everything, the apts are very clean and well maintained. .have stayed at many different hotels in Barbados but the Magic Isle is the best .wish I was was there right now .
We married here!
In June 2002 we had returned to these appartments - simply because we had enjoyed our stay there before. The appartments are very clean and well looked after - had everything we needed - a home from home. The staff are more than helpful and very friendly - just what you need when you are away from home. The premises of the appartments are immacultae & the gardens are very well maintained/peaceful. Everything is close to hand - banks, stores and bars/restaurants. In June 2002, we decided to get married with just 24 hoursa notice. While our holiday rep went above and beyond the call of duty, the staff at Magic Isle helped with our plans, ensured our big day was fully accommodated and we were treated to wine from all of the staff. We were permitted to not only be married within the grounds, but to have photographs taken and invite a small number of guests. Everything was just fantastic and we are thinking of travelling there in 2003.
The stuff memories are made of
My family and I have stayed at the Magic Isle 5 times, starting when my brother and I were 5 and 8 until we were 15 and 18. This is a fantastic place to stay and just thinking about the time I spent there brings a smile to my face. The rooms are spacious, and clean and the staff are friendly and good natured. It is within close proximity to the bars & restaurants of the St. Lawrence Gap, and Rockley beach is a fantastic beach with great water to swim in. I would go back to the Magic Isle in a minute.
