(1) Accommodation basic and generally unclean.

(2) Our party of 4 were allocated 2 studio apartments on ground floor. We had no hot water for first week we were in accommodation. Second week we had intermittent luke warm and cold water despite continuous requests to fix the problem.
(3) The Greek family who dealt with the day to day running of the Anika studios and who themselves lived in a part of the studios had up to 10 domestic cats. These cats roamed everywhere from our accommodation to the bar and guests eating area.
(4) This caused concern about standards of hygiene of the staff who handled food and drinks in the bar and guests eating area in between handling the cats who were a nuisance to some guests who ate in the guest eating area. staff were not seen washing their hands after handling the cats.
(5) If the 4 members of our party had known we would be sharing our accommodation with so many cats we would have booked ourselves into a cattery. Also the continuous barking of the Greek family’s tied up dog did not improve matters.
(6) Immediate area surrounding the perimeter of Anika studios was unkempt, had old mattresses and rubbish strewn over it.
(7) On the positive side Faliraki had good bars, restaurants, and we enjoyed good day trips to Lindos, Rhodes town, Afandou.
