Classed as a small luxury hotel of the world the De Tuilerieen certainly didn’t disappoint. Situated in the centre of Bruges, within walking distance of the train station (15-20 mins) and seconds away from bars and restaurants, it was the perfect place to discover the city.
The bar was small but comfortable and it was lovely to have use of the swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. There were other areas in which this hotel excelled: Breakfast consisted of champagne; salmon; pancakes; a chocolate fountain with fruits… the choice was almost endless. The staff were excellent, very approachable and accommodating.
Unfortunately I found the 1st room too noisy, we had been upgraded to a canal view room, however there was a busy road between the hotel and the canal which woke me most mornings. Thankfully we were able to change rooms, which also allowed us to see that both rooms were decorated to a high standard and very comfortable.
A lovely hotel, with a welcoming atmosphere great for a special short break.
