The Buena Vista Studios are situated in a stunning location down a short slope just a few minutes walk from the main street of Lourdas. The rooms are immaculately clean and well presented and the studios are surrounded by beautiful gardens full of fruit trees and colourful flowers. The owner is a really friendly chap and will do anything to help with any queries you may have.
The village itself is quite compact really if you stay on the main road. There are some very good restaurants close to the studios. In addition the pool use is also located very close to the Buena Vista Studios and Antonia's is particularly good fun-the pool was never crowded and always clean.
The beach is a trek and a little disappointing but Kanali beach accessed down a goat track is fabulous. Clean sand, clear water and empty! There are other beaches around to cater for families with young children, the watersports enthusiast and the snorkel fan!
A car is a must even though we didn't think we needed it-if you don't hire one you will regret it! The mountains are spectacular, the capital Argostoli very chic, plus you may see the turtles and there are so many surprises round every corner.

Apartments have a fantastic view of the bay with "misty" Zante on the horizon. Small but adequate with a comfortable balcony. Don't bother cooking in the room unless your heating something up, it's not necessary anyway.
The toilet shower space is not the best! But you get used to it. Just don't have two in there at one time! Main advice is hire a car! You will get fed up with what Lourdes has to offer, it only has three restaurants worth going to. Spiros. The best by far for food and price. LA Mer good food but over priced. Aphrodites very friendly welcome good food and price and good place to end your evening. Always something going on. Other places in Lourdes take note!
A beautiful island but I must stress if you don't intend on hiring a car you’re not making the most of it. The walk to and back from the local beach is out of the question unless your in training for the Olympics.
Anyway, there's loads of beaches all over the Island so get a car the island was made to explore from Poros to Mirtos beach from Scala to Lassi from Agostoli to Fiskardo. Go for it you'll have a fantastic time.
One word of warning, don’t go to the blue restaurant.
