I have been to the bella vista many many times. I can say that the staff are not theives they are very nice people that cannot do enough for people. As for a rep not translating for people, may i say that they sometimes work 70 hours a week, they cant do everything.

We visited the Bella Vista for a period of two weeks during August and we can verify that items were certainly stolen during our time even though we kept all windows, shutters and doors locked at all times as well as when we went to bed. Thankfully we kept our valuables... more

Nice Place Wrong Location
stayed at the BV for a week, the complex is very well kept and clean, the apartment is rather basic, esp in the kitchen area, there was a two ringed hob, an aged fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery, 2 mugs, glasses, plates but no dishes, there was only 1 socket for everything in the kitchen which was very awkward, i think that they should be more up to date and perhaps provide a microwave... The shower room was small and smelly, 1 loo roll was provided and then after that you had to provide your own..Bedroom was a fair size with a dressing table, hairdryer, two bedside tables with lights over the bed one of which didnt have a bulb in....there was a balcony with table and chairs but the sliding patio door where hard to open and shut.... The food at the BV was good and good value esp the breakfast... This is a family run complex, and they are very friendly and helpful, Christina always with a smile on her face... There was no entertainment on for anyone except a quiz night on a thurs which was only done if there were enough people around the bar area..there is a pool table and a gaming machine, and a huge tv but sadlly there was no sound to it, and no english programmes which was a shame as 99% of people were english...there was nothing for the children to do only go into the pool....the pool was very deep and was in need or regrouting, but the sun bed where free, a shower was provided at the far end of the pool area...it was very slippy when you got out and the water was freezing..you couldnt take any of your own food or drinks into the pool area, if you needed anything you had to buy them from the bar...there was entertainment advertised but it just didnt happen there was a bbq advertised but it was an astounding €15 each!! There is a mini market which isnt open all day which isnt very well stocked at all and some of the items where overpriced, annoying if you where on a trip all day and needed something urgently...there is money changing facilities, and you could hire a safe for €12 per week which was very reasonable.. If you didnt hire a car you where stuck, 1 bus at 9am which returned at 5pm, if you need to go into the main town of sissi, it was a good 25 mins walk, or you could catch a taxi for €5..pity the complex didnt have a mini bus for the residents to take them to major towns. Our olympic rep Kali was mavellous always cheerful and full of information, we booked 3 trips for €99 each which sound alot but isnt as transport is outside the complex and meals are provided and you are dropped back at the BV...Kali looked after everyone...well done.. Eating in sissi was good, there is a taverna just before called kokotus which was really good...my favourite was mamma mia's very good service, food, and reasonably priced-lovely location right on the seafront...the harbour was lovely too... There is a beach called varvara about 10-15mins walk to the left of the complex...it was disgusting litter seaweed and goats poo everywhere, the local authorities should do something about this, whether people go out of season or not, you are still paying for a good holiday, and the last thing you want is a beach you cant walk on... There were also alot of steps to anywhere no good for disabled people bit of a struggle for able bodied people...two flights to get up from the reception area with heavy suitcases, as there is no one to help you to your rooms. Lovely complex but isolated and in the wrong area...what a shame
