we stayed here in june 06. it was fab, direct access to the park which was also fab. pool was a bit small but interesting, kids loved it. breakfast was fab and included. dinner was 20 euros for us and 10 (i think) for the children but was again very, very good for a buffet. there was a kiddies disco each night and then an hour or so's entertainment which was reasonable if they bothered to speak english after realising 80% + were english. the sangria was good. the room was very good. really enjoyed it. will go again probably at same... more
Lovely pool from Monsoon
This hotel is better than the pictures show. There is another pool other than that on the main picture & it is great. It almost circles the beach bar & is very well watched by the lifeguards. We had quite a few requirements for our rooms & to my surprise they were all met & with easy access to the pool. The breakfasts were good & each morning we were joined by the characters from Universal. Really good hoilday from moblie
Just come back from Port Aventura had a brill time. Went with my husband, teenage kids, brother and mother and we really enjoyed it. Rooms really good, 2 had balconies, the other one was smaller but we were all on the same level, over looking the square. Food was great, lots of choice and we could have as much as we like. Disappointed that there were not a lot of english signs explaining menus or general information everything was in Spanish. I know that we where in Spain but it would have been nice to have some english signs in the resort.... more
Poor/ Expensive Hotel Portaventura from nikcoopix
Have just come back from Hotel Portaventura, near Salou in Spain. First two nights was given a room backing onto Portaventura Theme Park. This meant listening to a Disco and enterainment till 1am in the morning. The Hotel staff at first said they were full and could not move us, it was a one off!! After the second night I managed to get another room, which was much better. Having said that I am not impressed with the Spanish they were rude taking our sun lounger and so slow checking in at the Hotel and Airport. I expected better things... more

my boyfriend and I decided to stay in the port aventura hotel as the facilities and reviews on trip advisor were mostly great. It is a bit pricey to stay here if your a couple-they have special deals for kids/families, but what a place.we flew to reus with ryanair and the hotel is only 15/20 mins by taxi to the hotel. our room was abolutely gorgeous, very spacious with a large bathroom and plenty storage space.we were overlooking a little lake and the trees,scenery and one of the restaurants were beautiful to look out upon from our little... more

I wanted to write this review so that people can see what a great time we had at the Portaventura hotel. We arrived back this afternoon (7th july) after two quick and easy flights. I travelled with my friend (both 19) my brother and his friend (16) two adults and a 4 year old. The Portaventura hotel is situated right next to the theme park and caribe waterpark! This was our third visit to the hotel. The last two years were brilliant so naturally we returned, only to find the hotel managment company had changed. This meant a lowerlevel of service, the meals were of a lower quality and less choice. We were given a set time for Breakfast which is not what you want when trying to have a relaxing holiday. Just returned from a 2 week holiday in hotel port aventura with our 2 kids one 13 and the other 2 years old. Its the best holiday i have being on and the hotel is magnificent. The kids were entertained from the minute the woke up till bed at nite time. The theme parks are right on your door step the entertainment in the hotel at nite time was brill, a kids disco from 9pm till 10, then a show is on whether its a magician, peter pan, cinderella you name it and all at good standard. My husband and i have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Hotel Port Aventura in Salou. We had a fantastic time, and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
