just returned from blue dreams we had a fantastic 2 weeks the owners litsa and george couldnt do enough for us nothing to much trouble all the staff were brill, the whole family were lovely had all our meals their and you couldnt fault them fresh everyday and large portions will defo go back again.

Quite possibly the worst place we have ever stayed. It's cheap, so perhaps the tatty rooms don't matter that much - not so sure about stained and torn bedlinen. What makes the apartments truly dreadful is the rude and money-grabbing attitude of the owners. Want a kettle?... more

After booking the holiday, I read the reviews and was worried ! No need, was fine, good hosts, things are basic buts thats Crete. We go for guaranteed sunshine and beaches. Other guests hired cars as is is a bit out of the way, but for 7 nights there was a different place to eat everynight.

Yet another great holiday. YIPEE from A TripAdvisor Member
Having been to the Blue Dreams appartments before on 5 previous occasions I was trully looking forward to going back (June 15th-29th 2004). After reading some of the reports here on trip advisor I couldn`t believe that the place had gone downhill that much. Well all I can say is that we stuck to our guns and went back to see George Litsa and the family and yet again we had a TREMENDOUS holiday, so much that again we did not want to come HOME. The Barbeque evening again was very good with Natasha & Katerina showing us all some greek dancing and then Leading us all in a few steps around the pool. OK we had some late evenings or early mornings but the music was always turned down. The accomodation was clean and tidy and if there were any problems with anything then George would make sure it got fixed. All in all we had a cracking time and met some lovely people again, we all got on like a small family making the most of the entertainment provided and also some of the trips that Litsa recommended to us. Also the food provided here was first class, some really nice Greek dishes and the Fish was always fresh from the sea ,very often CAUGHT by George himself. Roll on next year When we can return AGAIN. Well done to the GREEKS for winning EURO 2004.

please, please, please do not go to this place if you want to enjoy your holiday. . the only person who would enjoy this holiday is someone who does not care where they go as long as they have a bed to sleep in and a bar to get hammered in. hence not a place i would ever take children again. the rooms were filthy and yes mice droppings all over the place. shame on olympic holidays for ever suggesting this "HOTEL" was suitable for families - we suggest they take their own families there and see for themselves what an absolute hellhole this place really is.

Well we have been and wont go ever again, dirty disgraceful place, food nasty. the pool is not ideal for the size of the place is noisy no matter where your room is, no consideration for families. we found mice droppings in the room and under the beds !!! smell of mold in the room sickening. not a good beach not for famillies at all. now the euro has made thisplace expensive and not worth the time to be honest look before you book and enquire around. wish we had never gone put us all of crete now. sorry 0/10

This place sucks. is dirty, got mice droppings in the room and on the beds on our return after going out. also the noise is awful at night dont go expecting peace. Food is not cheap drink, over priced should be for the Greeks seen as it is full of the family of the owners hence we have to wait longer for service WHY !!!! bedding not so clean, smelly beds broke i must not go on or you wont believe what you are about to read folks. We have been before when it was smaller without the added accomadation SPOILT GONE FOR MORE YOU GET LESS. would not advise you to take young children as can be very rowdy and drunks in the pool spoiling the activities that may i add are so poor. try Reth its self far better places to go and even local to this place. ask before you book to see reports on this one. Having spent our last three holidays in the Greek islands I would say that Blue Dreams Appartments were friendly, attentative and darn good hosts. The holiday was made by those around and the BBQ night and other entertainment nights were only as good as you made them. It was more expensive than previous years but this was due to their change to the Euro from Drachma. The rooms were clean and tidy and well maintained with any problems sorted within as short a time as possible. The only down side is if you retired early as the bar tended to stay open until the early hours of the morning but considering other resorts that are closer to the a town I think 2am is reasonable and fair as most people go to unwind and relax. Its you, your hosts and those you meet, who either make or break a holiday. There were some who we were glad to see leave but on the whole a great bunch. If you like lots of night life this place may seem secluded but unlike the smaller islands transport is not a problem.

I stayed at the blue dreams appartments for two weeks with my parents and sister.At first,I disliked the location,but later found out that the nearest villiage with bars and restaurants is only a short taxi ride away. The rooms were clean and pleasant.The communal pool is lovely,especially for kids. The sunbeds are free and the pool area sees sun all day long.The family are lovely.George,litsa,natasha,katerina,maria and Paris will make yor stay unforgettable!!And for all the teenage girls,if you go for nothing else,go for Paris,the barman!!!!!You'll see what I mean!!A lovely family accomadation,I cant wait to return!! Well considering this was to be our main holiday wished we never had booked this . the accomodation was a bit rough bed legs fallen off, dirty toilet and bathroom linen smelt moldy, food cold, maid service 2/10 . the family were quite nice but clearly more interested in entertaining there greek family and greek friends as as we were none of those we felt we somewhat had to wait all the time. we did not get to the accomodation we paid and booked for with our travel agents ! and this was never sorted out within our two weeks stay. a con we would state. the place was overcrowded and the pool far to small for the amount of tourists staying here a fight to get a sunbed or place around the pool made the whole day totally a mess as we booked hoping we would have a easy time with the kids being able to be in the pool and we could watch them. the beach is not safe for swimming so we had to hire a car to get away for a good time and could not wait to get back to uk, sorry folks look into all aspects before you go here. has put us totally of crete. we would not venture back at all and feel the travel agents have let us down bad and will be complaining about the room problem and the standards not being met.hope this helps you to understand the place from our view point, but maybe you would have to go and judge for yourself. we thought the place was expensive, not so clean as others have said, we had mice in our room hence nobody got anything done about it !!! dropping all over the beds after we had been out to many people in not such a big space, very overcrowded pity they have made it so much larger lost that calm peaceful relaxing touch that it had, we wont be going back as previous few years a little bit to much noise at night if you want to have a sleep before 2pm. family great that run the place shame they gone for bigger bucks. sorry sad to see the place loose what it once had Tom, Rebecca and family

We have been a few times and had a real good holiday, feeling is that now they have added the extra rooms and built more apartments it has changed the whole place . no longer the blue dreams we loved so much, we have to now seek alternative place to relax. We thought they were a great family and worked hard good laugh and enjoyed the visit and Jackie and Paul doing entertainments was the best thing we saw happen. {well Done} we would state is a good place for familys and safe pool, not really for the peaceful holiday thatyou may be seeking .

We had a fabulous time at Blue Dreams, Litsa, George, Katerina, Natasha and Maria are a lovely family. Food, accomodation and entertainment was great. Location is convenient, nice view of the sea to watch the sunset. Swimming pool great for adults and children. Not far from Town Centre of Rethymnon, and there are great places to visit. Can't wait to go back, wanted to stay forever!
