Submitted By: Other JB AnonThe prices were far too high, and seemed to increase in bars and nightclubs as the night went on. (Prime example of the locals taking advantage).
The hotel rooms were ok, although when me and my girlfriend first arrived the bed was unmade and spilt beer was on the floor and carpets.
It was an absolute disgrace, I'd never return there again, waste of money.

Submitted By: Miss J BraleeOur resort was located a short walk from the main strip and not far from two beautiful but packed beaches. The resort was really nice with two swimming pools and a bar in the centre.
The room was quite basic with two rooms, a small bathroom, and 'living area' with basic cooking facilities and a fridge. It was clean which was the main thing.
The food from the bar is what you'd expect abroad, nothing fancy.
No shortage of clubs in Malia and it was buzzin' at night around 9pm. There are some nice restaurants on the strip also even a McDonalds! The clubs are great with really cheap drinks and plenty of offers. The music is very loud.
There's plenty to do in the day. There are trips out to Water City and other places around Malia. There's lots of little touristy shops. Malia Old Town is quite nice too if you can look past the club scene.
Malia is a very lively place and I'd recommend it for a lad's / girlie holiday. I was relieved that we stayed a bit away from the strip because I don’t know how we would've slept if we'd been nearer! I was glad to go home at the end of the two weeks so I could have some peace. Great holiday though!

Submitted By: Mr A CrossfieldI had been to this hotel 2 years earlier but must admit that it had been greatly improved by the second time around. It was lively around the pool during the day but not too wild that you couldn't relax.
This was a family run hotel and all of the staff were really friendly and down to earth. I didn't need to eat out once as the food at the hotel was so good.
The only downfall to this hotel was that it was about a 20 minute walk to the nightlife and on the way home it was just a long unlit street which could be dangerous with cars and motorbikes speeding up and down.

Submitted By: Mr J SweeneyI went with 4 other mates and we hit it quite hard, we never had any trouble and surprisingly found the Greeks to be helpful and friendly.
The ratio of lads to women was about 5-1 but if you're a lad having a good time, pulling will be a piece of cake.
We went mid-June and the weather didn't drop below 35 degrees, couldn't fault it. Recommended the place to another group of friends going in August and we're all going again next year. Yiannos Manos baby.
One thing to look out for though is walking back along the road drunk by yourself, about 800m from the nightlife and you go past an eerie graveyard, a regular haunt for the locals to capitalise on the innocence and fun loving holiday maker! Say hello to Tracey, Stavros, and Stelios for me!

Submitted By: Miss R KempHotel was good, staff very friendly! Just a short walk from the main strip but none of the bars were open yet, as the season hasn’t started!
We met some wicked Greek people and also some English tourists which was brilliant.
I would definitely come back here infact considering coming back in June to work!!
Loved it!

Submitted By: Miss H DurhamRooms ideal and spacious, clean. 10 mins from the beach where there are watersports - but barter with them as we got nearly 70% discount on our photos of us parasailing! Mini-markets dotted around the complex, but the Yiannos Manos bar is great for snacks. Nice time of year to go as towards end of season - not majorly manic, but all bars and clubs open still with lots of friendly staff. Would highly recommend and would love to go back.

Submitted By: Miss N MckenzieAdmittedly it is more of an adult holiday as it does get lively but if lively is your thing Malia is the place for you.
I can’t fault Yiannos Manos for anything, they are welcoming to any one but at the same time you feel secure there.
Its only 5/10 min walk from the main strip so we rented out quad bikes which was fun (just make sure you have provisional licences with you or you will get arrested).
I really can not wait to go away there again this year I’m booking it soon.

" Stayed at Yiannos Manos for two... "
Submitted By: Miss Hayley NThere was 22 of us altogether (boys and girls) so as you can imagine... not really a couple/family place, did get a bit messy.
There was a crowd of about 14 other lads (that we knew from back home) who stayed in a hotel right near the main nightlife. They came down to our hotel everyday, it was the best.
Food was amazing, rooms more than I could have expected, mine was room 118. Big comfortable beds, spacious balconies... excellent on my opinion!
About a 5/10 minute walk from main strip, which we thought was going to be a bit of a problem but far from it, we were away from the noise and to be honest the walk was nice there and back.
The nightlife was immense.. Don’t go out too early as doesn’t get started till quite late - wouldn’t recommend to any of you early birds who like there beauty sleep... after all who goes to Malia for scenic views.
Be careful of pr's trying to get you into there bars did get a bit annoying. They’re harmless though and as well keep your eye on little girls and boys trying to sell you flowers, they are after your handbag. I actually got into a big argument with one of them, harsh I know but he didn’t leave me alone ha-ha.
Watch out for the security men, if you do happen to get lucky and take a girl/lad back to your room, if caught you will be charged... quite funny though.
Overall 10/10 hotel. Weather wasn’t that hot when I was there, quite windy, but a tan wasn’t my main priority.
Would definitely go back to Malia and probs wouldn’t stay in any other hotel. Yiannos Manos was definitely the best!! Off to Kavos this year let’s see which is best it’s Malia vs. Kavos!

" Brilliant setting just outside Malia.... "
Submitted By: Mr R SeyburnWeather a given, plenty of restaurants and bars for all tastes. We hired a scooter and travelled the 5 km to Sisse a fantastic small unspoilt fishing port with a plethora of restaurants and small shops. a wonderful place for a family holiday or a real blast for the young. In swinging down town Malia. Where you could party all night long if you've got the stamina.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Malia experience.

Submitted By: Mr I RoseThe staff are friendly and the facilities are lush. Nothing like having a dip in the two pools in the morning to freshen yourself up after a night out. It has to be the best place to stay in Malia by far.

The food at the hotel bar can not be faulted, it was cheap yet so tasty, i highly recommend the 'Club Sandwich'. Yiannos Manos was ideal as well for getting on to the main strip, it was far away enough from all the noise but a nice 5-10 min walk to get there!

Yet again the food out there is well worth the money you pay! It is definitely a place for a lively holiday and I am already dying to go back! <br>

Had no problems at all with the staff. The rooms were extremely clean, there was very good air conditioning and there was no problems at all. The pools were clean and very lively, definitely a place for young parties and couples. Hotel was so good that I am returning this year !!!!

The apartments were just far away enough from the pubs but close enough for your McDonalds still to be hot!!!!!!! Totally recommended!

The apartment was clean, decent size and with a patio area. The pools were always clean and never had a problem with sunbeds, so no getting up early to grab one lol.
One pool is decent size and the other is slightly smaller but both have music playing during the day.
The bar and food area was clean and good service and fair price. Staff always friendly too.
Security guard wandering about throughout the evening and early hours for your safety and to tell people to be quiet.......mind this did not always happen with young lads!
Some nice little tavernas about with proper greek food, one up the road, malia star, reccomend highly, family run and they were such fun.
Beach about a 15 min walk and lots of space, water sports going on in one area, beach bars etc.
Would go back there again, had chilled out holiday with lots of fun and please rememebr your suntan lotion cos gets really really hot.
forget all the negative reviews, we had great time in june and we not in our 20's anymorre.
