Villamarina Club

My husband and I went here for a week in September and we had an excellent time. We couldn’t find fault with the food, entertainment, accommodation or anything!
I would highly recommend this hotel to everybody especially those with children as they can be entertained all day.
We will be definitely going back there sometime but with our children.

Husband, 4-year-old son, and myself had a lovely holiday. Two swimming pools one could be a little cool as it was in the shade. Food was excellent, and could not fault anything to do with the hotel. The beach was clean although it was a 15-20 walk away, after walking there for two days, we then opted for the free bus to avoid more blisters.
Night entertainment was goods and kept children entertained and had show on most nights. Security stopped children running through the corridor’s which I thought was great as our son would pass out about 11pm.
The Manager was a very cheerful man, and chatted to everyone, and always had a smile.
Overall a really good holiday and will definitely be going again.

My son and I went to the Villamarina club for a week, as it was his first time abroad the facilities could not have been better, and the timings for meals were just right and the quality was excellent, the staff were there for us whenever we needed to speak to anyone, the lifts broke a few times but were fixed very quickly, the entertainment was very good and kept us entertained in the evening. All in all a very enjoyable holiday, of which I would be very likely to return again in the future

I have just been to this hotel and would ask that people only go there if they want a holiday from hell.
I would give a rating of 0 but the chart only goes to 1, stay clear of this one we had 2 weeks of pure hell and will never go back.

I went to Salou in July with my family, there was four adults and one child (age 3). We stayed in hotel Villamarina Club.
The Hotel itself was lovely, the staff were excellent, especially the bar staff (Papi, the two Sergio’s and Pedro).
The entertainment was excellent although it was mostly for kids and the entertainers (Donna, Geezer, Dave, Zoe, Peter) were brilliant and kept the Kids amused at all times. We stayed for two weeks and there was something different for the entertainment every night.
The rooms were basic, but you only need to sleep and wash in them, the beds were changed everyday and you were given clean towels too.
The restaurant was a bit disappointing though, they served basically the same thing everyday for lunch and for dinner and there wasn’t much selection. We had a couple of incidents were our food was cold (a new dish of Vindaloo just brought out were the chicken was freezing in the middle) and one morning we went for breakfast and the sausages were raw in the middle.
Apart from this we had a really nice time, but not sure if we would return because of the food.

Not a lot of plus points for this hotel, it claims to be 3 stars but I think it would struggle to make 2 stars rating. The only good points about the holiday, the food was of reasonable quality but quite often when going to eat there were no tables set so you had to wait, the other good point was the adult only sun terrace with jacuzzi. The bad points were children running riot, the poolside sun beds were packed in like sardines because the area is so small.
Salou itself was quite good and clean apart from dog dirt which was quite prevalent on the pavements, a nice walk along the promenade to the fountains, and also the ice cream shop at the start of the promenade makes beautiful ice cream.
Would I return to this hotel? NO

Well after reading some reviews , admittedly old ones, prior to our stay we were slightly apprehensive. However our worries were soon put to rest when we were guided to our superb apartment just a few hundred yards from the main hotel. It had all mod cons including cooker and washing machine and also use of a private pool.
The hotel itself is well set out with comfy settees in a more tranquil area and wicker chairs in the entertainment area. Staff were courteous at all times even if the bar staff were a little rushed !
Food was exceptional with plenty of choice , ranging from kids favourites to various pasta dishes, salads and chefs specials. If you are out for lunch a picnic is provided free of charge.
The atmosphere was very family orientated and friendly at all times. Both my children loved the kids club entertainment although they only joined in the evening fun as they were out with us during the day.
The beach and shops are only a short , pleasant walk away and there is even a free bus (during the day ) to the livelier end of town if wanted.
Overall a very good holiday enjoyed by all and we will definitely be back.

We didn’t know what to expect after reading some of the reviews! What an excellent hotel with courteous staff. The hotel was clean, the rooms basic but met our needs (2 adults and 2 children of 3 & 7). Constant hot water with clean linen and towels. The food was varied with something for everyone and there was always the snack bar. The entertainment staff - Geezer, Zoe, David, Peter, Donna and Adele were amazing and kept our boys occupied with various games, competitions and dances. The children also received a small gift or certificate if they won. The shows at night were also amazing.
Salou is lovely and the hotel is within walking distance of the beach or you can catch the hotel shuttle bus to the beach everyday except a Sunday. The nearest supermarket is 2 minutes walk. Will definitely be back staying at this hotel.

We were very anxious that this would be a 'holiday from hell' especially as it has taken us 2 years to recover from our last Spanish holiday in Majorca!!! There was no need to worry, as the holiday was excellent. We stayed in the apartments, which had two rooms, bathroom, large balcony, TV fridge etc.... The hotel was ok for 3*, the food was basic but always fresh and hot. The beer was ok too!
The best parts of the holiday were the hotel entertainers. Geezer is such a good guy. We have 4 kids and every day there was something going on.
The manager is always available and friendly. The only mistake we made was booking 1 week. Next year we plan to go back to Villamarina - this time for 2 weeks.

This holiday was the best I have ever had. The Villa Marina Club Hotel was amazing with lots to do and see. The theme park was great for people of all ages, with rides and shows. I would certainly recommend it to anyone especially the hotel, which I will be going back to this year. The beach is beautiful white sands and very big and the sea is clear blue and clean.
