Location: Hotel is situated towards the back of Salou. Although there are pubs and bars around it, they did not affect us in the hotel. It is only 5 minutes walk from a good family friendly beach. (400 paces by my 11 year old daughter!) The centre of town (and main beach) is about 20 minutes walk along shop and bar lined streets which seemed to get very busy at night.
Hotel: We stayed in a room with 2 single beds and 1 double bed. Room was functional for our weeks stay. Shower in bath. Toilet. Fittings showing sign of age but all in working order. 4 adults might find storage tight if you take an outfit for each night!
Staff: Reception-friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff-not very friendly but did their jobs well. Tables and plates were cleared quickly when you finish. Food: Good selection with plenty to eat. Buffet style meals. Pool: 2 pools, both oval shaped. 1 large 3m at deepest point shallow point 1.3m.no roman steps. Small pool ideal for toddlers with roman steps for access.
Bar Staff: Ok. Some struggled with English. All drinks from the bar (day or night) were served in plastic cups.
Local Beach: Was a big plus about our stay. Easy access. nice soft sand. Natural cove. Gentle slope into sea. Great for kids. (Mine, 9 and 11) blue flag rated. Natural shade at rear provided by small group of trees. Sun beds and shades for hire. Toilet, cafe and refreshments on beach.
Town Beach: Very crowded! Salou has lots of apartments so people go to the sea. Could hardly see the sand for people.

Hotel was very clean, maid service everyday.
the majority of staff were very friendly. Food was good most of the time, occasionally dishes were repeated too often. Indoor pool and squash courts very good, but too much chlorine in pool- turned all jewellery and costumes funny colour!
Little entertainment but very good night life within walking distance of hotel- lots of English bars.
Would have been nice if they could have played the England football games at hotel- they seemed to play every game but England! Overall, hotel good- would return again. Wibble! ok ok! a-wibble!

We didn’t feel welcome as the hotel is mostly full of 60-80 year old Spanish people, they pushed in front of our buggy to get into the lifts, and all entertainment was Spanish, nothing for children really, so we spent a lot of time out of the hotel which is a shame as we were all inclusive. Snacks poor were nuggets and burgers every day! No lock on balcony door, and rooms were a disgusting dark green colour.
On a lighter note our rooms were cleaned every day and kitchen staff were helpful when asked, although they spoke little English, we wouldn’t go again, Salou is nice though, beach was gorgeous. best bit about the holiday.

Reception staff were very unhelpful, rooms were badly in need of a face lift, no lock on the balcony windows.
Very basic facilities in the bathroom, dining room staff very ignorant, the food was dreadful cheapest cuts of meat, badly cooked, cheese which was like rubber and tasteless, rice pudding with very little rice in it fresh fruit which was rotting I could go on and on, we had to queue up to 30 mins for a table for both lunch and dinner.
In the bar we were served alcoholic drinks in paper cups the entertainment was geared to the Spanish people. Don’t bother looking worst holiday ever.

We arrived having paid only £240 each for a week, we expected absolutely nothing. We were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel clean, staff on the whole pleasant and food and drink reasonable considering they were included. Entertainment was very poor, but you don’t go on holiday to live in the hotel, we mostly made our own entertainment. Port Aventura is an absolute must no queues at this time in the season.
If you want to go to Barcelona don’t buy an expensive 36E excursion (which we did) which just shows you the fountain and the football stadium, instead but a train ticket for 9E and enjoy a whole day, you can pick up a local tour bus for around 9E. Good value cheap holiday, don’t expect the world, but its far from the pits.

The Hotel was good. We arrived on the 2/10/05 and left on the 16/10/05.When we first walked in the hotel we thought what a good hotel. We got all the things we needed.
We got put in room 246.The Room stunk, it came from the bathroom, it go worse until the third day we could not bare the smell, so we went down and complained. We got moved the same hour. Our next room was very good.
The Food was good. The entertainment was poor. They had the same thing on every week. Bar staff were very helpful. The whole staff were very good. I am very happy with hotel. I would go back next year.

We arrived evening time , had something to eat at bar then had a walk around. First impressions were that we had chosen well.
The following day we had a walk around the pool side, quite a strange thing, everyone seemed northern, Newcastle, Liverpool, Scotland. We seemed to be the only ones from south coast. The staff were very pleasant to us. The food was great, yes lots of chips each day but you also had a choice of fresh crisp salad, you don’t always have to have potatoes with your dinner.
I would recommend hotel to anyone, the rooms were not to my taste, but then you haven’t chosen hotel for its decor, your only sleeping in it. I have cream and terracotta bedroom, not everyone would like that. The northerners seem to expect a lot for they money. We were both happy with hotel and staff, you get what you pay for.

Not a hotel for the English! mostly Spanish holiday makers ,all entertainment was for them e.g. dancing to their music, no kids clubs.
“Mr Animation” told English children it was not for them, in fact entertainment was zero. The staff were very ignorant towards all English holidaymakers ,we could not get served at the bar for snacks, drinks, tea, coffee etc.
At 11.45pm security people came and ordered us in from the pool bar, everything was closed time for bed!! The food was all terrible I lived on lettuce leaves for 2weeks-not a good place to go.

We decided to get a last minute all-inclusive package. We got to the hotel at 3am and as we has 2 young children we just wanted to get to bed.
The first impressions of the rooms were that they were very run down and needed desperate refurbishment. The noise of the traffic from outside was terrible. All you could here throughout the night was BEEP BEEP BEEP when coaches dropping holidaymakers off at one of the hotels on the road and blocked it completely! This happened all night every night for the whole 7-night stay. The noise was very bad.
The hotel staff were ok, quite friendly and helpful (except the reception staff) who did not want to assist with any problems (like wanting a quieter room) which we never got!
The food was average. Nothing much more to say about that.
The pool attendant had a lovely unique way of cleaning the pool; he would wait until everyone was gathering around the pool, just before the evening entertainment was to begin. He would throw handfuls of raw chlorine into the pool making everyone run for cover, a lot of sneezing and rubbing of eyes.
The entertainment was fantastic! I could not fault that at all but to be honest that was the only thing I can look back on with enjoyment.
My overall view of this hotel is, give it a miss.
Salou isn’t such a great place either, if you do not mind smelly bins from hotels and bars on every road side and you do not mind the smell of rotting rubbish you will be ok, otherwise if you are anything like me, you will learn to hold your breath for long periods of time throughout your holiday.

Complete waist of time, first and last all inclusive. And as for Spain or should I say Spanish people Grrrrrrr! We had to eat out the second week, I’d had enough of the cheap slop they kept serving up, and everything was cheap and nasty. The swimming pool was unsafe; I lost count how many times people cut there feet in the pool. There was no urgency to serve people at the bar. We were treated like kids, the bar would close at midnight, no problem with that, but to turn the lights out at five past midnight was damn rude. We all felt very unwelcome.
There was an entertainment board, which was a waste of time, none of which happened.
To pay all that money for an all inclusive, and still have to self cater has spoilt my holiday, you work and save hard all year round. Not a happy chappy. I could go on and on, there is too much to mention.
Please take my advise, don’t give them your hard earned cash. P.s. it’s not just me, everybody at the hotel was moaning.
