Hotel from hell. Read reviews on hotel after booking expecting the worst and got it.
Dirty disgusting mosquito infested rooms, ignorant staff unless you are Spanish, could not eat the food. We go on all inclusive holidays every year nothing compares to this hotel.
There is not a good report on this hotel anywhere - so be warned!

Booked this holliday myself and found the hotel disgusting food was cold and repetitive, even when it was something diffrent it was the day befor food marinated. The air conditioning was not working reported this but nothing happend. It rainen heavy one night and the drains overflowed the next day the whole pool area was really smelly as the sewage had come over. Cracked tiles in pool area, staff were so misrable never smiled, there was four of us on holliday me my wife and two kids, but the bar would only allow 2 drinks per person at a time so you had to q up for a drink get 2 then q up again to get the other 2 drinks.
All in all what a horrible hotel to stay at. I would reccomend Salou to any one but not this hotel.

On arrival I thought the hotel looked nice, it was ok. The staff were rude at times and kept me waiting at reception on many occasions.
The rooms were ok but could have been cleaned everyday although the bed was made and I had clean towels. The television in my room did not work but the much needed air con did.
The food was good and the packed lunch on days out was alright the pool area was ok but again not very clean.
The staff need a customer care course as they don’t make you feel welcome and rarely smile. They played the same cd over and over again all week.
The good thing is its not far from the lovely beach. I would not stay at this hotel by choice

Please do not go to this hotel. Staff horrible, food disgusting. Pool area very dirty, pool not very clean, inside pool the water is green.
Rooms not kept clean and on my balcony glass was smashed and I had 2 children under 5. We arrived on the Saturday, the glass was fixed on the Thursday, two days before we had to leave.
Please no matter how cheap, beware of this hotel you will have the worst holiday ever.
My family are very easy going and not fussy at all but this was not a holiday because of the numerous complaints we had for the hotel.
All tourists felt the same.

We went on holiday for 7 days to this hotel, 4 adults and 1 child. On arrival we went straight to our room to find the air conditioning not working and the only socket in the room not working. We went to reception to report this immediately and had to re-visit another 3 times before anything was done. But the problem continued anyway.
The food was a disgrace, the smell from the food hall was awful, I had to leave and be sick. The rooms were clean enough but very run down. The pool area was filthy and also the pool water itself was filthy. The pool side snacks consisted of chicken nuggets, chips or a hot dog, or a burger! The bar staff were rude, and unhelpful. There was also two fights in the hotel within the week. The first was between a British women tourist and the hotel manager, resulting in the manager striking the lady on the head then proceeding to throw a chair at her. The next was two guests, who were arguing between themselves which resulted in 3 police cars and a police van being called!!
The entertainment at night was almost non-existent there was 3 nights out of the 7 that anyone actually appeared on stage.
I would strongly advise anyone with young children to avoid this hotel at all costs!

We arrived at the hotel with an open mind of what I had read!!!!! How very, very wrong was I. Woke the next morning and went to breakfast had a lovely fried breakfast, then went and sat round the pool, to my disgust it was raining. So we decided to walk into the town it is full of arrogant and rude Spanish people who just barged into you and pushed my children out of the way. We then went for dinner and it was fish, fish and err fish, all week we lived on pasta rolls and chips. We then went to watch the entertainment, there was one guy there who played the same song every night - the bloody cha cha slide for the kids - then his idea of fun was to get all the children together and throw water bombs in the air and let them catch them right by the poolside which was not safe. This was every night and was getting very boring after a while. There was no activities in the day but said so when we booked the holiday. The rooms were filthy dirty (my husband took photos), the door to the shower came off its hinges when we tried to open it. The bath was painted so every time you did have a bath the paint peeled off and was floating on top of the water. Then you could hear buzzing coming from the lights and they kept flicking on and off. The cleaners left us towels no bigger than a tea towel, two for four of us to use!!! The pool and baby pool were rotten, there was fag butts and glass in them my kids got cuts all over there feet, but because there was nothing else to do they played in the pool all day long. There was a film of grease from the sun tan lotion in the pool where they don’t clean it out. Bar staff were very very rude, I went to the bar one night at 10.45pm (and snacks close at 11pm) and asked for burger and chips and they refused me. The reception staff are very rude not helpful at all. My husband became ill on the Thursday (and we had only arrived on the Monday) and stayed in the room until the following Monday we then decided to try and get a flight back to the UK called the agent where we booked the holiday from and she told me there was flights but would cost me 1000 euros, tried to call the insurance and the said that my husband couldn’t fly because he was ill. We then got a family member to book flights home with easy jet for £400. We arrived home 3 days prior to what we should have. It was one of the worst holidays I have ever been on and will not book off the internet again and will go to travel agent and pay the money to stay somewhere nicer with better facilities and better entertainment for the children. If it wasn’t for the people we met out there (Martin and Gail) the holiday would have been a complete waste of time and very boring. To anyone who has booked or considering booking a holiday don’t bother in my opinion this hotel should be closed down for heath and safety reasons.

Having read previous reviews was very anxious about hotel and holiday prior to departure.
Hotel is acceptable for what you pay, if you are travelling on a budget this is a good hotel.
The food is satisfactory there is a selection of salad, pasta, soup, meat and fish each meal time, veg is poor and often in batter which was interesting! The hot food was hot and cold food cold. Dessert is cake fruit or ice cream every day. My children are fussy eaters and didn't like the food, but that's because it’s not what they are used to. Both me and my husband found pleasant meals each day. We did have to buy a few meals outside in the surrounding British themed venues for the children.
The hotel is near to beach in a small cove and only 20 mins walk from the main Salou beach. The shops are very near and sell a selection of Spanish and English goods.
I agree the bar staff are not the happiest bunch I’ve ever met but they are not miserable and the serve fast enough.
The pool is large and we managed to get a sun bed each day we wanted one by getting up at 9.30am.
The room is clean and basic, the shower is powerful and there is plenty hot water. Our toilet was blocked on arrival and this was swiftly fixed by technical services. There was a funny smell in the bathroom and dining room but not significant enough to worry about.
The local buses are frequent and cheap for travel to Portaventura, Go Karting, Salou and Cambrils.

I booked our holiday and THEN read the reviews... so I was a little unsure what to expect.... Party of 4 [me the mum, 2 sons aged 20 & 18 and a 9 year old daughter].
The hotel staff were as helpful as they could be and of course their English is good. We arrived at 10am knowing that we would not be able to get into our room until 2pm, but when we arrived we were told it could be as early as 11am.... however, it wasn't ready until 1.30, so we had a bit of waiting around to do and after being awake for about 30 hours at that point, we were a bit fed up! There was a luggage room downstairs that you could lock your cases up in, so you didn't have to lug them around while you waited (the key is kept in reception and you can use this when checking out if you don't actually leave for hours). And there are plenty of shops & cafes around. The Comedy Club is good (left out of the door, over one road and next left and its immediately on your left)... run by British and they make an excellent mug of tea for about 90p!
The rooms are adequate for our needs... beds, wardrobe space with a safe that costs 28euros with 10 refundable on check out, air con (that does work - we actually had to use all the bed sheets most nights, it worked that well!).
Maids come in daily to make beds, change towels etc. We didn't have a do not disturb sign, so ask for one if you tend to sleep in late! Maids mostly understand English so if you need to delay their appearance in your room, tell them.
You have your photo taken for a card that they scan when you get your drinks (soft drinks, alcohol, tea, coffee) so keep it with you. Meals take a little getting used to... however there was plenty of choice and its all buffet self service.
Breakfast was continental and full English - salads and pasta are tasty and available at each meal (except breakfast of course). Plenty to choose from and even my fussy 9 year old was able to find 'something' she liked... and it wasn't chips for every meal. Most different looking dishes were labelled. Okay, some of it wasn't always piping hot, but there's a microwave there... but it was mostly used for heating up baby jars, from what I could see. We never went hungry!
The pools were cleaned daily. Sun loungers and parasols 'bagsied' by about 10am, so be quick if you want one or more.
In between meals there is a snack bar, serving chips, burgers (though possibly turkey/chicken not beef burgers), nuggets, hot dogs and toasted sarnies.
Table tennis table out all the time, mini golf available (you hand in one of your ID cards at reception for these). Kids entertainer doing games with those that wanted to at about 11-ish, but not for very long each day. Entertainment by the pool 4 or 5 nights out of 7.
We didn't venture far from the hotel (it was to hot, or in the case of the last 2 days of our week, to wet), though there are plenty of buses passing by should you want to go out and about. I'm sure there's plenty of night life if you want it, though that was not our cup of tea, so can't help on that score.
For my first Spanish holiday, I was pleased with our hotel etc... no hiccups with travelling there and home again. You get what you pay for I guess, but not having any other Spanish resorts to compare it to, I can't comment really on whether the hotel was poor, as some have said.

This has got to be the worst hotel I’ve had the misfortune to stay in. Food was vile, smell in restaurant was vile. Pool was disgustingly vile. The staff were the rudest people I have ever met.
Rooms very basic and in great need of updating. We went AI and spent a fortune eating out but the food outside the hotel is great and caters to all tastes.
No entertainment in hotel so had to go out to bars at night and make our own entertainment.
On a plus side the beach was lovely golden sands and I would visit portaventura, which is good for adults and kids alike.
I would have given this a 0 rating but it wouldn’t let me, basically don’t touch this hotel with a barge pole.

All inclusive is a joke in this hotel. Most nights there was a queue for drinks and it looked like people lining up for rations with as many as perhaps 30 - 40 thirsty guests with their all-inclusive begging cards. Customers often expressed frustration and anger at such a long waiting time and then to find out that they could get only two drinks per person holding an all-inclusive card and this rule applied to soft drinks too! I was there with my wife and five children and queued for twenty minutes at least to be told that I could have a maximum of four drinks as my wife and I were the only card holders in the group.
For some of the busiest periods at the bar, only two bar staff were serving drinks and they were completely worked off their feet. Surprisingly, or perhaps not so surprising, was that two bar staff, including the bar manager, could be seen in the non-inclusive bar and most often you would not even see a customer there. It was obvious that they were deliberately trying to limit what all-inclusive guests would consume. The bar was supposed to shut at 12 midnight and most nights I was there, the shutters came down early while guests were queuing for their drinks! One night I witnessed a holiday maker plead with the bar staff to serve on for a few more minutes (at 11:50 pm) only to have the shutter pulled down on his arm. He was in some pain as a result.
Food was generally poor to average but presented well and restaurant staff were quite friendly and pleasant especially with the children. The rooms were dull, drab and tacky and smelled of decay and stale cigarette smoke. The air conditioning may as well not have been on, for the rooms were as stuffy and hot as a sauna. When I mentioned this to the maintenance man he recommended leaving the balcony door open. He probably just plain forgot about the mosquitoes and the risk of burglary - never mind the hot sticky air and noise from outside. The shower door was loose and shaky and eventually came off the dirty, greasy and mouldy frame while we bathed our children.
The pool was dirty, especially the pool terrace, and more particularly the children's pool and terrace which was stinking and filthy. In fact it was cleaned only once during our 7 night stay and even then there was no notable before and after difference. The handrail for the steps into the kids’ pool was about as secure as our shower door and has probably fallen off by now!
Two very slow lifts with room for four adults served all the guests in the hotel that had well over two hundred rooms and again we found ourselves in a queue which could be particularly tiresome at mealtimes and especially with two prams. Everything about this hotel was drab, outdated, and smelly.
I felt sorry for the staff who worked there, in particular the manager, who told me how difficult it was to address some of the problems I mentioned because he did not work all the hours necessary to know what was happening in his hotel!?! On a more positive note, we only had to endure this for 7 nights. One family we met were dreaming up all sorts of activities to stay as far away as possible from this dump for the second week of their experience. My heart goes out to them!

Please read this review and don't do what I did, dismiss the comments others had made about this hotel. I arrived with my 9 year old son for 1 week all inclusive holiday.
Where do I start? The hotel staff were very rude and only managed to communicate in English when there was some benefit to the hotel i.e. changing money or paying for a service. The pool was filthy; I was swimming one morning to find cigarette stumps and plasters floating near my face, all the tiles surrounding the pool area were cracked and the drains didn't work - the smell was unreal.
The hotel food I couldn't begin to describe. We ate out in a bar opposite. Please if you are staying here, budget for day trips and meals out we spent as little time as possible at the hotel. The bar service was so bad - one evening we queued for 45 minutes (honest) , we went to the shop opposite the hotel and bought our own drinks to drink by the pool.
However we had a great holiday in Salou, we met some fab people and all moaned about the hotel together. We experienced many great trips. I only wished I’d believed what people had written in their reviews regarding this hotel and I would never have booked there.

Worst hotel I've ever had the misfortune of staying at. I have an endless list of complaints about the hotel, its food and its staff.
The hotel itself was unclean, our room had 2 singles and a double in one room when we specifically asked for and were told we would have separate rooms from the kids. Our balcony was never cleaned the whole week we stayed and we didn't have any balcony furniture. The side panel on the balcony was cracked, when we reported it nothing was done they just shrugged it off basically.
The food was just crap really it was cold and there wasn't much variety, the pool snacks were also crap not bad at first but when the kids got 2 burgers un-cooked and a hair in 1 we reported it yet again and were told to ask the "chef" to cook them again. The management was a total joke they pranced about in their shirts and ties and that's where it ends they don't do much else.
The(kids) pool area was filthy there was one day we couldn't even see the bottom of the pool it was so dirty . The staff in the hotel were just plain arrogant and rude the last thing you want on holiday is to see sour faces everywhere and that's just what it's like there. Every person we spoke to that was staying in the hotel were not happy about it, but also said its pointless speaking to management, the list goes on and on I wouldn't even rate the dump.
