Submitted By: Mrs I MANDALIAThe accommodation was very nice and clean. The swimming pools were well looked after. Food served in the restaurant was good but could do with more varieties especially for vegetarians.
The location is very good as you've got shops, restaurants and the beach within walking distance.
I was very happy with hotel accommodation, services offered by the hotel and the staff.
If I have the chance to visit Potugal again then Don Pancho will be my chosen hotel.

Submitted By: Mr M StoreyThe rooms are a decent size - the kitchen has basic utensils with a fridge/freezer and microwave (but no kettle) and each room has a balcony with a good view. The pool was also a good size - quite popular but not overly packed.
The resteraunt and bar is probably the only thing that lets this hotel down - there isnt much choice and its expensive. However there are loads of bars and resteraunts within minutes which offer great prices - I highly reccommend the mexican round the corner.
Overall a place we'd stop again.

Submitted By: joyceelloIf you wanted a sunny room she said you have to pay extra for the sun , a horrid person.
Entertainment was a rubish Elvis does'nt sing he mimes to all the songs .
Rooms are ok beds a bit hard.
Dont book trips with Paradise Tours they take you on shopping trips and the shops are closed.
Dont buy cigarettes from anybody except shops.people on streets and bars ask you to buy them but DONT.
The good bits are it was sunny and thats why we went .

Submitted By: Mr O LadymanThe staff were friendly with a smile, could of been more urgent, if they were chatting or doing some paper work you have to wait .. but when they get to you there more than friendly.
The pool was coldish but its fine, its outdoors and not heated but in summer you wouldn't want that.
Noisy bar at night so get a room high and far away :)
9/10 but it was my first experience! I'll be going back!
15 min walk from a busy beach, we rented a car from Eurocar no comment about them and drove to find quiet local beaches.. sometimes an hours drive, lands end (our beach ). Such a good holiday!
Go try it yourself!

Submitted By: brwon135The pool area was spacious with enough shaded areas for children. It also had a nice play area with slide and swings and a smaller pool for little ones. The snacks were good.
Although prices were reasonable they were more expensive than other places.
Entertainment wasn't great and was repeated weekly but the bar was still a friendly place with a good selection of drinks and a good atmosphere when enough people were in!
Although the brochure clearly states no entertainment for children the hotel would have been much better with it, possibly a children's club. Staff were very friendly with the children making lots of fuss!
The best place for breakfast has got to be Rumours. Great food, good prices and Jeff and Ian were very friendly blokes. The American Diner just left of the hotel was excellent with big portions and friendly staff. Also try Sr Frogs and Fredi's on the corner for excellent sword fish.
Coconuts was a great family bar although the hypnotist was unable to hypnotise and the parrots wouldn't perform! There was plenty of games for the children to join in. Watch out for the 'go and grab' game where children were asked to get a chair resulting in my husband almost breaking his spine! Ha!!
Take the Noddy train into old town which is very nice during day and lots of bars and places to eat at night. We ate at Asian Street kitchen which was very smart inside and good food. Need to use chopsticks though!
Definitely worth visiting is the Zoomarine, with good shows and a 4-D cinema which was fantastic!! Also visit Aqua show Water Park which was a really good family day.
I would DEFINITELY go back to Portugal and the Dom Pancho hotel the only problem being the many children's rides on the streets which cost me a fortune! Make sure you have plenty of Euros if you have little ones.

Over all it was a good week we all enjoyed it and we will be going back very soon.

Submitted By: Miss P AllisonThe Dom Pancho was very good, staff very friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was about a 10 min walk from the strip and about 15 min walk from the beach. The food in the apartments was ok although the menu needs extended a little. The pool and surrounding area was lovely.
The pool was massive! We enjoyed our stay in the Dom Pancho and are returning in October. I would recommend it for Young people and families.

Submitted By: Miss K Hedges & WebbAs we are two young girls we were very happy with the location with it only being 5 min walk from the strip, and also the beach within walking distance, the staff were friendly and the hotel safe, as you leave you hand your key to reception so its not lost on your night out and when you return your asked for your details by reception. The receptionist was very friendly!
We both would def recommend this hotel mostly to young people or families who love the loud nights out. I have to say though the bar in the hotel was very dingy and not somewhere we would like to spend our nights and as the hotel provides entertainment we were disappointed.

Submitted By: Mrs D DevineYou can not cook in them. Most of the day staff are very rude. There is no kettle in the room either.
The location is very good. If you are with children they will get very bored.
If you want a really tacky holiday try these you might enjoy them.

Submitted By: Miss E FletcherEntertainment doesn’t start till gone 9.30pm and you're best asking for a high floor when you have children, we were on the 3rd floor and could hear it! It has a small playground needs painting but it’s usable and also tennis courts and gym which you need to pay for.
Not far from the strip, supermarket straight across the road and bars and restaurants within walking distance!

Submitted By: Mr R PowellWe found the much derided hotel bar to be better than expected. €3 for a large beer is dearer than "from €1 during happy hour" in a simple outside bar, but some of the evening entertainment was quite OK (Zambezi Pula Pula, in particular was excellent) and about £2 for nearly a pint with entertainment was fair value.
If you want 4*/5*, you get and pay more (we did on other parts of this holiday) but enjoy a good value break at the Dom Pancho

Would go back again. Not too far from the strip - maps available at hotel reception.
The old town is even better but is a taxi ride instead of a walk. No to Spain next year back to Portugal!!! Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Advice: I loved the Old Town and the beach
Activities: plenty of lovely restaurants
Good for: Beach
