Club MAC Alcudia

Was very disappointed with this holiday as it was my first holiday abroad with my family. On a late arrival at midnight noone was there to show us to our hotel and we were all tired and hungry and were told there was food on in the hotel. The food looked like dead animals was supposed to be burgers and chicken i think. The place was full of chavs with tattoos. The food was disgusting and cold and the drinks were in plastic cups and was not proper alcohol the cocktails were watered down into a sugary slush. The bar staff were arrogant and rude and the night entertainment was pathetic. Was so glad to get home at the end of the week thank god it was not for a fortnight. NEVER AGAIN

The service was brill The room was ok i liked ary thing about club mac its no good if you just want to go for a **** up but its very good for kids and thay lots going on for kids in the day 10 mins walk to the bech i can say the only thing i did not like was the buger bar but for that it was good and we all loved it at club mac

i dont really know where to start, we arrived at around 2am to the hotel reception, where guests were already kicking off at the non english speaking receptionist, they had overbooked the hotel so were shipping many guests off to nearby hotels, unfortunately we managed to get a room.
Things went from bad to worse, the cleaner kept forgetting where our friends room was so they never really got it cleaned. There was fighting and screaming couples/families/children nearly every night after they'd had a bit too much free watered down alcohol and they also enjoyed running up and down the corridors screaming and banging on your doors.
There was only one dining room open at lunchtime so there was always a massive queue (three full building trying to squeeze into one dining hall) funnily enough i think this is where myself and many other guests picked up food poisoning.
I had to write my holiday off half way through it as i was struck down with food poisoning and couldn't get out of bed for 3 days, i later found that many guests had reported this but nothing was done.
After i picked up food poisoning i refused to eat in any of the hotels again in fear that i'd catch something else.
On our last day we had great pleasure in watching a man beat up another man in front of a load of children!
Then to top off our fabulous holiday thomas cook left us stranded in the airport for 10 hours, failed to tell us there was a strike on and that we weren't allowed to go anywhere, had to sit in mozzi infested airport all night. Should of arrived home at midnight, arrived home 11:30am (i know this has nothing to do with the hotel but shows thomas cooks lack of interest to their customers.

The hotels are very basic with very small rooms.
The restuarants are the only best bit about the hotels cause they do nice food.
What i didn't expect from being all inclusive was there was no cushions on the sun loungers you have to pay 1euro a day if you want 1 with a 10euro deposit, plus they had no parasols anywhere because the shop on site sells them and i think that is so wrong whem your all inclusive.
Also the bar at night closes dead on 12 o'clock midnight and they turn all the lights out so your sitting in darkness, the drinks are also served in small plastic cups and they don't taste as nice in them.
The good thing though is the free shuttle bus to the beach cause it is a really nice beach.

Just arrived home from a two week stay at club mac with my Husband and 3 children 9, 8 and 2. I have to say its a lovely hotel allways really clean loads going on, our children had a great time and have to say the annimation were excellent worked so hard and were allways happy they made our childrens holiday so a big Thank to you all! The food was really nice, loads for all tastes. The room was abit basic, but you dont really spend much time in your room, we were in a family suite so had two bedrooms and the kids had proper beds rather than pull out beds, there was a lack of storage space, they were cleaned every day and you had fresh towels everyday. All the staff were really pleasent in the dining room and bars and worked very hard. The swimming pools and water park was fab our kids loved it so did we. If I had to pick at something it would be that I wouldnt want to go in mid summer cause I imagine its packed it was busy enough in september! Also the other down side is some of the people that were staying in the hotel! who were rude and loud and greedy mainly our fellow english who give us all a bad name so how the staff kept smiling I dont know, but its not the hotels fault who stays there, but I have seen animals acting better than some off these people and they are allowed to travel! Dont let that put you off though. Its a great family hotel and Alcudia is stunning with a beach to die for. My kids would have stayed another two weeks given the chance !

i had read all the reviews before going to Club Mac and i can say i was quite worried.I dont know why.From the minute we got there until the minute we left we had a great time.Yes the rooms are small and they dont have a fridge/ tea making facilities or a hair dryer and you have to pay extra for all the channels on the tv but they were cleaned daily by very friendly staff. The pools were all clean and we never had a problem with getting a sun lounger.The food areas all hygenic including hand gel at all of them. The food was basic but varied and the menus changed daily. This is not a holiday for young singles or older couples but if you have kids you and they will love it.

Well I have just returned from a weeks holiday at Club Mac - staying in the Saturno Hotel with my partner and 2 children (8 and 11) - we had a fantastic time, I did read alot of the reviews and was very concerned what it was going to be like as they were very negative! The whole complex is very clean, food is excellent something different everyday - we did not have to queue once on our holiday as we picked the right times! Pools were brilliant (we hardly saw the kids!) Room was fine, everything we needed, cleaned everday and fresh towels and bedding as and when you require it! Only one down side for me was it was very busy but then there are 3 hotels on this complex so I guess its going to get busy at times!!!
If you want an excellent family holiday then I would recommend Club Mac!!

we were looking forward to our 2 weeks with our 2 young children 9 and 6 we booked the holiday with them in mind.
water parks 9 pools etc. we arived at 23.40 at the club mac.
we booked a special request lower level, but on arival was told that we were in room 810 8th floor, this was refused by us as with 2 young children i did not want the risk that they might fall from the balcony, after a while we were offered 2nd floor saturno being late we decided to go to our room putting the card into the door was shocked to see the size of the room very basic and small. 2 beds tv stand small chest in middle of beds, no seats balcony no table or chairs (no room for them) so we settled down for the night. in the morning at 8.40 we ventured onto the complex with towels in hand. only to discover all the sun loungers were taken by towels no bathers. we found out if you wanted a lounger you had to be by the pool at 06.00
good points food was good and varied.
rooms were visited by cleaners daily who made the beds but in our 2 weeks stay under beds were not cleaned. they were dusty when we arived and still there 2 weeks later when we left. our hotel room was shared with ants that were all over the room from bathroom to bedroom. we visited the water parks but i agree that it is to busy and crowded.
also a charge for sun loungers and lockers.
main down points (invasion of ants even in bed with you)
rooms should be singles. bars to small meal times stood like cattle waiting outside restaraunt. also poolside snack bar long wait to be served. this complex could do with some major improvements to make it more apealing.

I went on holiday sept 2010 and enjoyed it that much i am back out in the next couple of weeks, take no notice of the people who moaned about their holiday, they will probably moan if their lottery numbers come up!! yes it's true the rooms are a bit cramped [but how much time do want to spend in it!!!] the food is repeated weekly but i enjoyed it and so did my children. the waterpark was AMAZING, i stayed in the marte so it was included and by god is it worth it, the park is large and it as loads of different slides for baby's to adults [i was like a big kid]. The entertainment was not the best but there is plenty for you to do and there is free buses to town!! there is also bands and music by the bars so you can relax have a drink and listen to some music while the kids go mad on the dance floor. for the money you pay it is 100% worth trying, i would not be returning if it wasn't worth every penny!!!

Please Try this Holiday! I stayed in Hotel Mac and had no problems. All I can say is that the bathroom was small, the bedroom was spacious and it met are requirements. Girls bring your own hairdryer as I didn't get one in the room. There was a balcony that overlooked the 3 pools so it had a lovely view. We were on the 5th floor. The food was great a lot of meals to choose from. There was no rush to get fed as there was always food prepared that was freshly cooked. Staff were very helpful. We went to the Port of Alcudia we travelled there by free bus that was put on by the hotel. We also went to the market by taxi 6 euro's. A holiday is what you make of it and we enjoyed ours. The resort was very clean and staff were friendly. Pool's were great my kids 11 and 9 thought it was fab! Well worth the money. We are gonna re-book for nx year.
