Just got back from a week in sidari at the christakis apartments and i enjoyed my week very much, i was there with the wife and my 12 year old daughter, Nicos the manager was great with us, and to say he cept his pool clean and tidy is an understatement, IT IS IMMACULATE, IT SHINES, every sun lounger is set to perfection every morning and you see nicos cleaning the pool every evening, 10 out of 10 for that, his snack bar is ok to, there is a good menu to choose from and you can be fed and watered for about 15 euro,s, we ate in there 5 times during the day and found it and the food very good, we found the room to be clean and tidy, the maid service very good, all in all ok- no bull, i am going back to these apartments next summer for 2 weeks, IT HAS THE CLEANEST POOL I HAVE EVER SEEN, THE SNACK BAR IS LOVELY, THE ROOMS ARE CLEAN N TIDY, AND I WOULD GIVE MY STAY 10-10, no more spain for me, i loved my sty with nicos, VERY ENTERTAINING, LOL, HI TO WAYNE AND FAMILY FROM SHEFFIELD, HOPE YOU CAN COME NEXT YEAR OK, GREAT PEOPLE,

Tiny, but clean by Craggydunce

Having read other reviews of the apartments, we were expecting something much better. We compared this with other apartment reviews on trip advisor and were expecting something really nice. This was not the case.

The apartment was very small even by Greek standards. We had one of our girls in the same small bedroom as us and the other was on a camp bed squeezed in to the corner of the kitchenette, with no curtains, so it was very light. There wasn't enough room to sit at the table. It was really only a studio apartment, although was described as a one bed.

The doors and windows were often left open by the maid, while we were out, compromising our security, but it did seem like a safe place.

Nicos, the hotel manager, was rather eccentric and usually complaining about something - not really the accommodating host that we have had on other visits to Greece. At first he seemed to very grumpy. How well you got on with him, seemed to have a direct relationship, with how much you spent in his bar! We spent quite a bit and after a while did seem to see a friendlier side to him, but I'm sure other's didn't, as there were a lot of people complaining. However, he was very hardworking, trying to do everything himself and no doubt very stressed.

The demarcation between apartments and pool/bar seemed to be critical and he was obsessed by not consuming anything that wasn't bought from him anywhere near the pool.

The biggest problem we had was with the people in the next apartment, who just sat getting drunk and abusive to people on their balcony, until 2- 3 am. It wasn't until they threatened to hit Nicos that they were 'asked' to leave, but unfortunately this was on our last day. Obviously, this wasn't really the fault of the hotel, but perhaps something could have done earlier.

There were lots of nice people staying there at the same time as ourselves and having such obnoxious neighbours did seem to unify the rest of us.

On the positive side, the pool and bar were absolutely spotless, they were meticulously cleaned by Nicos every day. The maids cleaned the rooms at least every other day and did an excellent job.

The location of the place was very good, on the main street, just outside the centre. It was reasonably quiet, but only a short walk from the beach and all the action. The restaurants were all very good, serving great, reasonably priced food. We would recommend the 'Rock', near the Canal d'Amour, which had a great view, friendly staff and excellent food.

Overall, I think it would be an ok place to stay for a couple, but far too small for a family.

Great location, highly recommended. by mik3yb

Excellent location - plenty of restaurants/shops/etc just outside the front door. Seafront bars/beach 2 minutes walk away. For location put this in to google maps +39° 47' 29.76", +19° 41' 58.20" - that is the location where I am writing this from - sat using free internet with a beer. We are able to walk to the far end of sidari in around 10 minutes and have the choice of several excellent beaches. Although the apartments are on a "main" road, the double glazing does a good job of keeping the noise of the occasional moped out at night. We are staying on the second floor - rooms are fairly cool as not in direct sunlight, although there is air con available at a cost. No idea how much this is though as have not felt the need to enquire. Overall these are nice relaxed, quality apartments with plenty to do a very short distance away.

The apartments are clean ,basic but all with views over the pool. Nikos the manager keeps the place going , nothing too much, he hosts the poolbar and makes a mean omellette or almost any other snack. I can recommend this place to everyone.

You must go for a swim thru the Canal de Mour to see your true love so they say

Absolutely Fabulous!!! by loubelouuk

Just returned from a super break at these apartments.

The rooms are immaculate, cleaned daily and the maid even put fresh roses cut from the gardens in our room.

There was never a problem for sunbeds and there was plenty of them complete with umbrellas and tables.

Nikos who runs the place is very friendly and loves children, my 2 kids are 13 and 2 and he was wonderful with them.

Facilities on offer were: Pool table, Football table, internet access, library, sky t.v. at the bar and a huge screen for the footie matches etc.... snacks/meals/bar all reasonably priced. Nikos will put anything on the t.v. you like, he has full sky subs and even put cbeebies on for my little one.

The apartments are clean and fresh and modern, the kitchen area in basic but enough for a brekkie, toaster, kettle, fridge etc...... not alot of utensils but all nice and clean.

The apartments are located on the main sidari strip, but about a 5 min stroll into the centre, along this stroll there are lots of bars and restaurants and shops and its not far to be honest. Sidari itself is just great for families. lots of kiddie friendly places and entertainment, we loved the madison bar.

Lots of other places to mooch around, the beach is about 2 mins away.

I was just mention that because the apartments are on the main road there is some traffic but its not noisey at all, but if you have young children you will just have to be aware of this.

Im sure you will have a lovely time if you book these apartments as we were certainly NOT dissappointed it was FABULOUS!

We have just returned from two weeks... by Rosie P
9 / 10

We have just returned from two weeks at the Christakis apartments in Sidari and we had a great time. The weather was fantastic and we found that there were plenty of good bars and restaurants with entertainment in the evenings, particularly the bed bar and the falcon.

If you are looking to go to the beach I would suggest that you go past the canal d' amour, and not to the one with all the bars, as it has a lot of seaweed washed up. In saying this, we stayed around the pool area as there were plenty of sunbeds available (even if some people did insist on leaving their towels on them 24/7!).

The accomodation itself was very good and had everything you need, although as someone else mentioned the tv didn't work. The pool bar seemed quite expensive and the owner Nikos didn't like you much if you didn't spend quite a bit of money there. We overheard him complaining to other guests about a few specific people who he didn't like because they didn't buy enough! Despite already paying to stay there! Although the upside of not buying much there and visiting the supermarket is that he doesn't bug you. He tended to spend most of his time throwing (mostly young girls) into the pool, chucking balls at people, poking you as you slept on the sunbeds and generally being a pain in the backside. Ignore him and you'll have a great time!

All in all we had a great time!

Very Basic and not a 3* by N0rtherner
6 / 10

Booked this through Olympic Holidays last minute. Cost about 260 each s/c. We have rubbish nights flights and when we got placed onto our coach at the airport we had to wait 2 hours for another flight consisting of 2 people. They then got dropped off first! Absolute joke.

Apartments were very basic, pillows were flat although bedding was clean as was the kitchen and utensils etc BUT the bathroom was minute. The shower leaked everywhere all over the floor which was dangerous and the water smelt like sulphar. Hardly any hot water at all, we would have been better getting washed in the pool.

Hotel is situated on main road of Sidari but not in the centre. It was a gentle 5 mins walk up to the main strip where all bars, resteraunts, shops and beach is.

Sidari is not big at all, it just consists of one little strip of entertainment. Its mainly full of youngsters and the hotel we were in was obviously used by 18-30 groups as there were clubbing cd's pinned to the terrace outside the doors.

Christos ran the place with his two daughters, reception was seperate and bar seperate with sky. The owner was OK but you could only drink fluids incl water round the pool if you bought from the bar. Christos was always moaning about being skint and making ends meet but generally he was a happy chap when sat with him drinking and buying his beer!

We had a ground floor terrace so it was nice to sit out with our home made breakfast in the mornings and nip back for lunch but there are bushes along the terraces which are riddled with wasps and mosquito's so beware!

Pool was nice and clean and the main road wasn't that loud, you might have heard the odd few early hours coming home from the clubs.

It wasn't that expensive in Sidari and there were some lovely traditional taverna's. The beach is OK and there are some nice walks in the area.

All in all it was an OK holiday but I wouldn't call the apartment a 3 * at all more like a 1 or 2!

Again the journey to the airport with Olympic was diabolical, they picked us up hours before needed and made us queue for 2 hours outside the airport at midnight. Olympic holidays are a sham!

Accommodation consisted of two rooms... by MJ Rose
8 / 10

Accommodation consisted of two rooms and a small shower bathroom, all in good condition. The bedroom has two single beds and a sofa that turns into a bed. The kitchen area comes with a mini oven / hot plate, kettle, toaster (although ours didn't work). You also get a nice little terrace area or balcony outside your room. Although the bedroom had a TV it did not work (no AV lead!) which was a bit annoying. The shower was more than adequate although the temperature we found to be variable. The rooms were cleaned frequently (every other day) and towels were changed regularly although the linen was not changed at all.

The pool and the bar area are above average for the size of the hotel and there was never a worry about obtaining a spot.

As others have said, don't book tours with the operator, go to the town and book with one of the agencies. We did the coach trip to Paleokastritsa which was excellent value at €6. The best supermarket for value seemed to be the Sconto Market and if you want a sunbed on the beach just use one of the bars and buy a drink.

There are plenty of shops to look in but shop around for value and do the same with meals. There's loads of choice whether you want local food or exactly what you'd eat at home. I'd recommend finding a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the beach and on a good day Albania!

The coach transfers can be a bit laborious but stick with it and you get there in the end.

Christakis is in a great location. A bit of road noise but nothing too much. Far enough away from the centre for a bit of peace but not too far away so as feel out of it.

Nikos was always very friendly and... by H Hod
8 / 10

Nikos was always very friendly and always willing to help.

Although Sofia's English wasn't that great so when you needed anything she wasn't very helpful, because she couldn't really understand.

But there was only the two of them there so when Nikos wasn't around your problems wouldn't get solved until he returned.

The swimming pool was really nice and it had inflatable things, such as lilos and rubber rings in it already, so you could have fun.

It was very close to the night life and all the bars would offer you free shots and free bottles of wine etc. So if you’re going as a young group then this place is definitely really good for you.

Also there was no curfew at all so it wasn't a problem, whatever time you decided to go home.
