Christakis Apartments

Just arrived back from staying here for a week. We had a great time. On arrival Nicos booked us in and carried my wifes case up to 1st floor. We found him very helpful and friendly. Our apartment was spotless and kept clean throughout our stay by the cheery maid. We book apartments as we just use them as a base in which to sleep and shower in and this place gave us everything we needed 5/10 mins from the main strip.

hi having just returned from chrstakis apartments (sidari) the location of these apartments is great near beach and right on main street.WE found the owner very ignorant and moody, the first 3/4 days we were around the pool and in bar on an evening time.
He was all smiles and carrying on with you because you were spending money there,but after 4 days it was getting too hot around the pool for my girlfriend so we started going to the beach.Still on a night time before we went out we were still having a few drinks before we went out for the evening in pool bar.
This is when he started blanking us as we were'nt staying there all nightspending and because we didnt go to his BBQ.
On the last day we checked out i handed all keys etc in he just blanked us didnt even ask if we had nice time ,thank you or have safe journey.VERY RUDE MAN

Stayed here last Summer after already holidaying here 3 weeks earlier. I hadnt stayed at these apartments before and i can say i shall never again! It was truly horrific, the sheets were covered in stains, and the towels were barely there with massive holes and faded yellow/brown stains. There was 1 folk between the 3 of us and the apartment was filthy.
After travelling through the night this was not the ideal sight to greet us and we couldnt even sit on our beds without feeling grubby.
We went and spoke to the owner politely and were appalled when he simply shouted at us to bring him the towels as he didnt believe us.
Apart from a disgusting apartment we did enjoy Sidari. We simply bought our own cleaning products and cleaned it ourselves so at least we'd feel comfortable. I have stayed in 3,4 and 5 star hotels and i can honestly say this was 1 star if that.
Dont take your own drinks including water to the pools- you will get shouted at. Dont let it put you off Sidari tho as its a lovely place!

Just had 10 days here, very clean, very close to the beach 5 minute walk at most, just far enough from the bars to enjoy or not hear when you dont want to.
Nikos is brilliant, didnt spend a fortune in his bar, some say that you have to spend money or he is awful, I certainly didnt see that, getting into his bar after spending my money elsewhere at 1am and he still cooked for me to soak up the bear.
would definitely recommend

arrived Monday 6th Sept 10.15 pm 3 couples arrived together we gave Nikos booking form from Jet2 He said you,re name not on my list ! and told to wait ! he showed other couples to rooms and returned. He then rang his boss faxed Jet2 and said he told them 3 days ago he had no room ? Nikos then said i have room will get bedding changed and will sort it out tomorrow ! ! !
He then took us in bar for drink and said havn,t got room taking you somewhere else ! i had to phone England booking agent 11pm Greek time ! unable to do anything untill 9am next day ! Nikos took us and left us at Yanis got call Jet2 next day very sorry for trouble and only other option was go back Christakis after 5 hour wait ! !and slight chance might have to move room after 3 days !REFUSED ! stayed Yanis never wanna go near Christakis ! ! Just spent a week at the christakis,never been to Corfu before and booked this at the last minute so didnt expect to much. Got to say though it was really good the apartments were a good size i thought with everything you needed. Few minor problems over the week had to fix the shower head on arrival then unblock the sink and toilet, could have asked Nico to do it but to be fair hes always so busy thought it would be easier to do it myself. Also had no water on 3 occasions and no electric once for the morning. The pool is the cleanest and clearest ive ever seen and the whole place is kept very clean.Did have words with Nico because we moved some sunbeds a couple of feet, but to be fair to him he did apologise later to us, then he was great couldnt do enough for us.He works very long hours and is under a lot of stress running the apartments which are not owned by him, only the bar and pool area.One word of warning if you are taking children they wont be allowed to wear tee shirts in the pool this is not allowed. Also the doors and windows are left open by the cleaners after they clean your apartment, but then its very safe there and nothing gets past Nico.Have read some other reviews about Nico and yes he can get a bit excited at times but hes a real character and the place wouldnt be the same without him. Its also very friendly with everyone speaking to each other which you dont get at the bigger places
The apartments are on a quiet road but not to far from the mainstreet with lots happening. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away.
All in all a great holiday and would go again at the right price.

Just got back from the Christakis apartments from a family anniversary week(The Marsdens)Nikos was brilliant from the minute we arrived. My brothers have been there before and loved it. The rooms are lovely and clean (thankyou alexander)and nothing is to much trouble for Nikos.He keeps the pool emaculate but guests buying food and drink else where then taking it round the pool gets his back up, but that's where he makes a living in the pool side bar, which he provides with good food and drink all day long. We want to thank you Nikos for a fantastic week. love Karen, Claire, Alf, Sue, Keith & Sharon. See you next year luvy!!!! We Cant Wait X

We were delighted with our week at the Christakas appartments. We had three teenagers with us and Nikos was excellent with them all,nothing was any trouble. He makes his living from the bar and works all hours. The pool was imacculate and rooms clean and comfortable. We were in a quiter bit of the street but only minutes from the main area and beach. All in all it was ideal and a lovely week. Thank you to Nikos.

Had a lovely week in Sidari at the Christakis. The hotel is lovely, the pool gorgous. The only thing that ruined it was Nikos. When arriving we got shouted at "Go to your Room"! and he seemed grumpy most of the time. This stopped us using his bar which made him even worse as we didn't spend money there! Did he not understand if you are friendly people don't want to spend money there It was such a shame as most Greek people are really friendly. The only thing I would recommend is Toilet Paper they don't provide it and can be a bit emabarrasing!!
When leaving you can keep your room on for £20 but he will try and make you give it up at 6pm. We called his bluff by saying we wouldnt have it as we are leaving at 2am and convienentley he had a cancellation 15 mins later which meant we could keep it on!!
Would recommend going there and to Sidari

Just come back from the Christakis Appartments - had a fantastic time. Very clean and tidy. Nicos is just an absolute star, he has a wicked sense of humour and will do anything to please you. We arrived at 11.30p.m. and he made us something to eat and made us feel very welcome. The food and drink is cheap and anything that is not on the menu he will get for you if you give him notice. His wife made my husband and myself a fantastic beef stifado and chicken in a cream and mushroom sauce - very tasty. Scampi and chips - 4 euros (Nicos thought it was hugely funny that I wanted tzatziki with mine). 10/10
