Very mixed feelings
I booked a week here through Budget for the tail end of the 2006 season. While it wasn't a horror story, I certainly won't stay in the Pacific again, nor would I recommend it. The toilet wasn't clean, in fact it had mildew on the tiles. Our towels were "changed" every day, yet one towel with a very distinctive rip on it didn't leave our room for the whole week! The beds were uncomfortable and I left with a sore back. The room allegedly could sleep 4, but maybe it was 4 kids they had in mind! The place was well-located and... more
nice 2 star hotel
I really dont know how people can write such bad reviews on this Hotel. I have to say that I was pleasantly pleased with the accomadation considering that is only a 2 star hotel. The rooms were cleaned everyday, the staff were friendly. The rooms are quiet compact but they are studio rooms.... The only negative thing that I could say about this Hotel is the noise and attitude of some of the Holiday makers but this is not the fault of the hotel ......... Talking to other holiday makers in the area that were in 2 to 3 stars... more
very nice
i stayed in the salou pacific and i found them very basic but nice and clean well maintained the staff and reps were very helpful and friendly and there was entertainment every nite for families which was great if you were running out of ideas of what to do...salou itself was ok very built up with a lot of apartments beside each other...for somewhere to eat i'd recommemend the texas embassy food and staff very good also the connect inn and the 19th hole stay clear of murphys as the bar man in there was so rude i coludn't believe it i felt... more
Great for Single Lads!!!
Booked a holiday through teletext and asked for this hotel as my mate had stayed in it before and liked the location. We are two 22 year old single lads! We stayed on the 18th - 25th August 2006. On arrival at the hotel we went into the lobby, there was an odd smell (like previous reviews) but did'nt smell like sewerage, on speaking to the receptionist she informed us we were now staying in a 'sister' hotel on the corner, we then went to that hotel and we given keys to the Salou Pacific and told to go back . . . confusing or what.<br... more

it was one our best holidays ever!!
we have just returned from a week in the Salou Pacific(7/8/06-14/8/06). we were quite worried about staying there because we had read so many negative reviews. but it actually turned out to be an excellent place to stay. the apartments are not the biggest and basic but they were very clean. the bars in the hotel were lovely although the irsh pub was a bit dark. it was graet for the children. there was entertainment throughout the day and also at night. it was also in a great location. the pool area was nice but the sunloungers... more
holiday from hell.
my wife two kids and i had the misfortune to spend two weeks in the salou pacific between the 27th of july and the 8th of august 2006.i must say that the appartments were the worst that we have ever experienced in our many years of holidays.we were moved to three different rooms during our stay.the rooms were pokey and not suitable for the four of us.they were dirty and drab, electrical sockets hung from the walls and were downright dangerous.the fridge didnt work properly as didnt the tv and all the lights.the shower also didnt work... more
horrendous Hotel
The room was poor to say the least. Small and in dire need of a re-vamp. The utensils and crockery could have done with a proper clean. The cleaning ladies were grumpy and rude if you were still in your room when they came around to clean. The restaurant/bar was pathetic and the staff even worse. You were lucky to be able to order as most of the staff just couldn't be bothered. There were no pleases or thank yous either. Just faces as long as a wet week. The other guests were noisy, drunk and partial to letting their kids run riot... more
Great Hotel for kids
i was stayind in the Salou Pacific and I have to tell you I was dreading going there after reading the reviews on this site. But, I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. The rooms are basic but clean and the lady came around every day with clean towels and toilet roll etc... And cleaned the rooms. The staff are very helpful I had one or two minor problems since I got there but as soon as I brought it to their attention it was sorted immediately. I had6 children here with me ranging from 1 years to 16 years and there wassomething... more
