Sweet Jesus, After reading the reviews I thought "it honestly can't be that bad." On arrival, the receptionist did not understand one word of English and kept repeating "come back at four, my friend speaks English." On arrival into the room, our front door was broken with a key snapped from the inside, our balcony slide door was also broken and it would not lock. There was a smell of sewage coming from the plugholes in the bathroom, the safety boxes were located in the reception which I thought was odd and there was a safe in the room but it had no lock. The slide door to the bedroom was off the hinges so it would slant and it was hard to close. One of the sliding shutters beside the bedroom fell off and opened outwards. We had no kettle or toaster and we later found out you can get it from the reception but nobody told us so. The balcony banisters were a bit shaky. After staying there a week, our apartments had not been cleaned once, when I confronted the cleaners they laughed and asked me for my bed sheets and when I handed them the sheets they gave me clean ones and told me to do it myself. All in all, in the two weeks the room was not cleaned and we had to do our own beds and there was rubbish bags just left sitting outside the rooms. In the "restaurant" a home made pizza is actually a pizza out of the freezer, not fresh but frozen from a packet and it cost 7.90. Our coffee table was also mounted with cup stains. Only person I would recommend this "hotel" to is a bum who had no where else to go.

the apartments were fine, clean linen and towels were provided,you can ask cleaner in morning for more or receptionist on duty. i would just like to warn people not to leave money in room as we were robbed within 5 minutes of leaving the room, we walked to pool and my boyfriend forgot somethng and went straight to room, the door was busted yet closed again as with my purse and boyfriends wallet, the robber also went to the bother of closing my suitcase again. it was only cash stolen as my phone and camcorder were not taken, police do not speak any english
i would definately go to these apartments again, some reviews were very harsh for these apartments

Reading previous reviews, I must be the luckiest bloke in the world. I stayed over Easter, arriving late at night and being checked in within 5 minutes. The room was basic, yes......but clean. The bed I used was ok, the cooker worked, the balcony doors opened and closed and the shower over the bath was fine. Yes, the Spanish (and later the French) youngsters were lively into the early hours, but I know it'll probably happen with groups of British & Irish lads when the season is in full swing. The Salou Pacific is in an ideal location, close to a main shopping and bar / restaurant street plus other venues even closer. Special mention for the Victoria Pub, good times thanks!
Back to the apartment, there was evidence of the local ants setting themselves up behind the bath panel for the seqason! I shelled out on a can of local bug spray and all was sorted.
I think to summarise budget hotels in the area, the cheap price may mean that there are one or two bits that aren't quite up to the mark, but either a quiet word with the reception staff will result in a maintenance bloke coming up to have a go at sorting it, or see if there's a (bug) solution that the locals use.
Would I go back to the Salou Pacific????? Yes....in just over 3 weeks, bring it on! For me, budget flights and budget hotels mean I can just about afford a few breaks over the season. Fantastic!! If your own personal budget will stretch above and beyond the Pacific, then the hotel might not be for you. If you have a sense of adventure, a willingness to overlook some shortcomings and you just want a bargain break in the sun........then this place will do.

+ Nice and helpful service
+ V. good location - close to a v. nice beach (Playa Llarga), supermarket cross the street, pubs and restaurants, bus stop 200m from there
+ reasonable price right after season (in October)
+ kitchen well equiped (however kitchen equipment needs cleaning before use!)
+ no insects thanks to a big lizard we had in vent channel :)
- lots of drunken Brits in surroundings (vomiting and taking a **** everywhere, which might be actually the reason of bad smell in the air :)
- old and partly destroyed room decoration (again - thanks to the wild... wild guests visiting this hotel)

The staff were very friendly alltogether but thats the only good thing to say about the place.firstly the apartment smelt like urine and vomit when we walked in.the cupboards were bare so even if we wanted to cook we had no utensils or crockery, the fridge didnt keep anything cool at all.the bathroom was just rotten.there was hairs in the plug hole in both the bath and the sink..there was still particals of vomit on the underneath of the toilet bowl and underneath the sink..the railings on the balcony was so loose you couldve kicked it off.NOT safe for children to say the least!!the beds were a matress about an inch thick.if i wanted a camp bed to sleep on id have gone camping..it wouldve been better.aswell we are lucky we didnt have kids with us because the walls are so thin you could hear everything in the apartment next door.soft porn is an understatement.self respect people!!.there is plenty of lovely places to stay in salou that are the same price if not cheaper.respect yourself and dont stay here..

when we arrived to the door i got some fright the dirt of the enterance to the hotel was preety bad DIRTY. when i arrived to the room i sat down an cried my eyes out. i had 2 rooms booked one 4 me an my partner the other 4 my dad. the smell in the room was terrible. the railings was hanging of the wall outside so defo not safe 4 small children. i sat on the toilet an fell on the floor the toilet came away from the wall. The rust on the bath was disgusting. The noise from the next room was mental they was having some kind of wrestling match i recon but we could not sleep i had to go into them at 2 in the morning to tell them to shut up needless to say they didnt speak english so i head 4 the reception but guess wat there was no night porter or night reception. So i had to wait till 10 in the morning to complain i was wrecked. they did move them but it didnt end there. this hotel is a brothal, party house.. on the 4th day we walked up the steps to enter reciption on the steps was a used dirty tampax o.m.g i nearly go sick. tat was there 4 3 days to follow.. this hotel is a dump no cleaners.. no clean towels .. no clean sheets u have to ask 4 them..u have ppl throwin things over the balconey they dont care... as for your rubbish u have to look at it till u take it your self accross the road come on this was the wrost place ever i would not recomend it only for use as a brothal tats is it it should be bombed to the ground... the pool was even worse u have a man goin around with a blower to clean the ground but his blowing fag butts in to the pool wat a disgrace..there is nothing modern in this place.. or not have being updated in 40 years the beds r omg where do i begin i had a nail in my bed which i didnt no i couldnt make out where the scratch on my face came from. but the 3rd morning i woke up there was a small hole in my arm an blood on the sheets. i complain bout this but noone came to fix it. so i had to sleep at the end of the bed.. NO ENTERTAINMENT 4 the kids at all plz be warned there is nicer in salou do not stay here u WILL be DISAPOINTED ANGIE FROM TIPPERARY

salou pacific hotel what can i say me and my partner spend £500 pound to go and stay here of sky text well we flew out on the 16/05/10 and where supposed to be thre for 1 week well guess what we went home on the tuesday morning it was filthy cold didnt even have a bar open or restaraunt or any thing open the receptionist didnt speak english and wuldnt turn heat on for us as at night we where freezing. really really bad hotel. love salou itself as have been many times before but this really made it an awful experiance for me. didnt even have toilet roll first night arrived. we paid alot of money for nothing the pool was nasty just things floating in it and there was no parasols either to cover urself and was only 6 loungers, i dnt believe u get wat u paid for as ive been to btr places for less money than this.

i would like to say this is a great hotel with very helpful staff especially cristina, a great asset to any hotel, basic but lovely and central to everything,lovely friendly pub right beside it called, the britania with lovely owners ken and sue,good hotel great value just the ticket thanks to all ian and rosie.

I know the saying is you get what you pay for but i know i payed for something and i didn`t get anything... The room was terrible when we arrived it smelt of urine and if we had wanted to use the kitchen area we would of had to clean it total filth not once did the cleaner turn up at our room for the entire week we where there, we had to go and collect clean towels ourselves from reception. Self catering well i never relised that included buying your own tiolet roll. The resturant that was advertised never seemed open so if we had wanted food we wouldnt of been able to.
On a brighter note if they changed there staff it would be a lovely apartment block to stay as it was close to everything a beach at the top of the road and the main street at the bottom.

What can i say that will boost trade for this complex....nothing!!!! If you like your towels changed regular, your bed linen regular, the nice touch of the complementary bit of soap [of which you never use] in the bathroom, even down to toilet rolls [you have to buy your own] not supplied, the apartment cleaned the odd day or even once once a week you even have to take out your bin and cross the road and walk up the street facing this complex and dump it into a large rubbish bin. the staff are very helpful but lacking on the basic english. This was or first and maybe our last visit to Salou though Salou itself i found no problem with but a complex like this would destroy any resorts reputation, avoid like the plague. I have rated this complex with a 1 because there is no minus.
