I HAD AN AMAZING TIME IN SALOU!
pacific apartments..basic..you get what you pay for! and sure its only a place to sleep!
salou on the other hand is brilliant! the night life is great and i really reccomend going to christy's irish bar..it is the best craic EVER! if you go to salou make sure you go,,because i guarantee you will spend the rest of your nights there!!
the apartments..i have no complaints! i was expecting the worst after reading all these comments and to be honest i cant wait to go back next year and i will not hesitate to stay in pacific apartments!
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! dont expect a 5 star hotel! its basic and clean!
having said that..i wouldnt go if your on a honeymoon but its great if ur with friends or family!
if you want clean towels you have to ask..and the light in our bathroom went out but infairness to them they fixed in and apologized..sure a light can go out anywhere!!

well where do i begin i am only back was there with my mam and my two children and it was a disaster this place should be shut down, it was filty dirty, the balcony railings where loose very dangerous expecially when you have two young children, bathroom disgusting and patio furniture well wat can i say fit for bin or better still burned.
no entertainment even though advertised that they have evening entertainment all there was were two pool tables and some computer games for the kids.
pool area was disgusting and the kids where not allowed bring any pool toys in like balls or lillo's
over all i would advise families or better still everyone to stay away from this place it is only fit to be knocked down.

Hi ,Stayed in early july and agree with everything Mr L Hill has said this apartment/Hotel is not suiable for families, it would be fine if you were with a gang of girls or fellas on a party holiday and dont mind living in filth!!!!!

When me and my family arrived at the hotel we wernt alone ( my family is a family of four). it took the reception 20 minutes to check me and 3 more familys in because there was only 1 person on reception and he could hardly speak a word of english. When we got in the room on the 6th floor, you could straight away see the dirt on the floor and in the bathroom. On the balcony the railings were unstable and you could shake it even if you tapped it. There was 2 small windows seperating the balconys next to ours and 1 of the windows had cracks all over it and the kids next door (who looked about 14 and there was 2 of them) didnt help it much because they constantly kept shooting the glass with BB guns and making the cracks bigger. The room was never cleaned and the bed sheets wernt clened either. When we complained, the receptionist said, "the sheets are cleaned every 7-8 days". And we also had to ask for clean towels because the cleaner who never cleaned, would walk past out apartment every day and not even bring us clean towels. The bathroom lights would hardly ever work and the bathroom constantly stunk of pee even if none of us used the bathroom. There was no entertainment during the day or at night, and the bar had run out or drinks to serve. There was no food available apart from crisps. Also the day that we were checking out we had to be out of our room by 10 O'Clock and to keep the room on till 3 its would have cost us 40 euro's extra. (our flight wasnt till 8 O'Clock that night) so i asked at the reception if there was a room were me and my family could get a shower changed. The person at the reception said, "there is a shower by the pool and you can get changed in the toilets." How can you get a shower by the pool? To be honest with you never go to Salou Pacific Aparthotel. The worst place that i have ever stayed in. The brochure said that there was every thing a family could want at this hotel. But when we got there. their was nothing for familys. The barman actually said to me, "When you pay cheap, you get cheap" Well £1500 for a week isn't cheap! In my opinion if you ever think of satying at Salou Pacific Aparthotel, THINK AGAIN!

Our family stayed here for two weeks last summer. We were a little apprehensive after reading some of the comments on here, but found the place to be just fine. Our room was fine, a little small perhaps, but we slept all night every night and were out for most of the day. The Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful with us, the only time I saw them otherwise was when they were dealing with unpleasant guests.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget, after all, you get what you pay for. I would not expect 5 start standards on for one star prices.

Never again will I return to these apartments! On arrival the reception could not cope with the amount of people checking in. Plus to be told that there was no toasters etc to be hired out- when we went self catering and were expecting to get up some mornings and make ourselves breakfast before leaving the apartments this was not possible! We were also told to come back and get a safety deposit box later, when we eventually did get one this was in the main reception area and was only 2 inches maximum in height. When we got to our room we were put on the fourth floor and with a small child we did not think this was acceptable especially since the railings only came up to my waist (I'm 5'10") and there is a ledge on the railings which means children can stand on and lean over! Went to reception got changed to a room on the first floor which was good but all rooms are of one size and you cannot swing a cat in them, there was only me and my husband and my two and a half year old but if there was four people I do not know where that would all fit! The bedroom consists of two single beds with a foot distance between them and as for it even being called a bedroom it is stuck in the middle of your room and only sectioned off with some wood and a couple of doors that fell apart when my husband opened them as they had come off the runners and when I sat on the bed I fell to the floor as the beds are made so cheaply, someone had obviously broke it before us! To cut a long story short it was awful, the rooms were never cleaned, the floor never brushed or washed so you could not walk around in bare feet as it was like walking round a building site. The balcony door only opened and closed from the inside so beware when you are on the balcony make sure the door does not close or you will be stuck out there! The tiles were cracked in the bathroom, the hot tap did not work and you had to dispose of your own rubbish outside of the hotel premises. We were woken up every night by young people coming in at five o'clock in the morning from the clubs by a) just shouting b) having fights or c) having sex cos the walls are so thin! We did not have a good nights sleep any night cos the residents that live in the apartments beside the hotel keep a dog locked up and its barks steady into the night, plus were awoken our last morning by our neighbours who decided to chuck their clothes onto our balcony and leave them there - DISGUSTING! I KNOW I HAVE WENT ON A BIT BUT I LIKE MY HOME COMFORTS BUT WHEN I GO ON HOLIDAY I DO NOT EXPECT TO SLUM IT!!!!!

Just back from this holiday! have no complaints whatsoever! Room was very clean, although it was quite small, but who goes on hols to sit in the apartment?! Air con was great, no stuffy nights, slept the whole fortnight!
Salou itself is a great resort, plenty to do and plenty of shops/restaurants. Uncle Sams is an absolute must- you could eat there every night!
Would recommend these apartments to anyone and would def go back again!

I went for two week holiday to above apartments with my daughter. I was appalled by what we encountered there.
There was a smell of urine of bed settee which I had to put out on balcony. The railings on the fourth floor where we were put were loose and seemed to be held on by some kind of putty on one side. The glass partition separating us from the next door apartment was shattered.
I had requested a first floor apartment with pool view when I booked the holiday but got the fourth floor looking out into other apartments. I was told on arrival that there was no apartment available on first floor. We got moved to another apartment after a week on the same floor, the shower was broken and the hot tap in the sink did not work. After complaining again, the tap was repaired but the new shower head was too big for the shower holder, so we had to hold it when using.
The stench of sewerage was unbearable at times. It was extremely noisy at night and I did not get a decent sleep any night.
I found the lifeguard obnoxious and was more concerned with removing inflatables from kids than watching out for kids who were been pushed and shoved in the water by bigger persons. I feel a separate pool should be made available for the older persons as it was dangerous that all age groups approx over the age of six years old were using the pool. I complained to the lifeguard that a child was been pushed deliberately under the by an older child and he told me he does not speak English.
The pool also appeared dirty at times and the guy cleaning the pool would start brushing around the lounging chairs at six o clock, often hitting the lounges with the brush, I suppose to get people away from the area. The pool is open till seven.
The apartment was not thoroughly clean, under the beds were filthy.
The entertainment for children was a joke, face painting or walk to the beach. I thought kids clubs were free, but the kids at times were requested to take money with them. A transvestite was on as family entertainment one night! Needless to say I took my child elsewhere. Bingo sessions went on day and night and when some one won, he or she had to use the phrase; ‘I’m wearing no knickers!’ Not the traditional Bingo! Before the winnings were given, very inappropriate for family entertainment.
I will never again book a holiday with the above airline as I felt the rep took very little notice of any complaints. I would never again stay in the above apartments, but I would go back to Salou as it is a nice part of Spain.
I found the holiday very stressful as I was concerned for my child’s safety all the time.

We arrived on the 7th of July staying for two weeks. Myself and my husband and 3 kids from 11 to 15 months. The night we arrived I thought it was the biggest dump ever and the receptionist on the desk was very unhelpful, as she gave us 2 rooms on different floors (which we were told we could get them together when we booked). Anyway they were filthy. Then a guy called ALLE came on duty and said she had made a mistake, so he gave us 2 rooms which were spotless. There was a door between the 2 apartments which we could open and make it a lot bigger, as they are tiny. Beds are a bit hard, but we put the extra mattress from the other room on to the beds which made it cosy. All the male staff I found very friendly, but some of the Spanish girls just sort of laugh at you.
I thought it would be the worst holiday ever but it turned out to be great. The Italian across the road was fantastic the Texas Embassy for breakfast and Uncle Sams, Might have to cue for a while there, but do. Port Ventura amazing, Aqua polis fantastic. All in all the place was like fawlty towers , but I must say had a ball and the kids loved it.
We met great friends and the rooms were cleaned every day, fresh towels and plenty of hot water and there very strict on noise, so you should get a good nights sleep. I hated coming home, you make the most of a holiday as I was so nervous before I left after reading reviews. Its not all that bad you get what you pay for, as we paid 951 for two weeks for 5 of us. Better then the pouring rain in Kerry any day and I would recommend it to any one for a cheap holiday.

Due to the crap weather in Ireland, we took a last minute holiday in Salou. After we had booked, we read the reviews on this page and were shocked. So shocked, we tried in vain to change to some place else.
We were bringing our 2 year old little boy with us ans were worried sick. It ruined the build up to a holiday which is always the most enjoyable part.
Folks, don´t believe any of the negative reviews on this page. The Salou Pacific is fine. As somebody remarked, you get what you pay for. Central location and quiet at night. The pool is cleaned every day and the lifeguard is very strict. There were loads of Irish families staying there and I heard no complaints from anybody. There are loads of pubs and good food close by. Plenty of shops to keep everybody happy. We did a tour to the Nou Camp and gave a day shopping in Barcelona. Brilliant.
Cannot recommend this place enough. All moaners and people with gripes, please stay at home !!!!!!!!
