Jul 2008, Mr I Waterman

Stayed here with Olympic on an AOA basis. Having been to the Greek Islands on many occasions before I was desappointed with the location of the appartments. The family that run them are great and keep it clean and tidy but if you end up on the ground floor there is no view only a grape vine which is a little dissapointing. There is use of the pool opposite which is a much nicer place, newer and brighter called the Fotini Complex.
If you hate climbing hills then stay away from this one unless you hire transport as it is a steep climb especially in the hot weather. George will rent you anything and is a great salesman based at the bottom of the hill.

These apartments are up a steep and winding hill, locally known as Cardiac Hill, and for good reason! We benefited from having hired a car otherwise we would strongly not recommend for anyone with mobility issues.
The apartments are tidy, clean and the owner/land lady is very friendly and hospitable.
The apartments are set in beautiful grounds, almost like a family farm, with the chief dog Nico in charge.
Chamber service could be more frequent, i.e. towels, bed linen and toilet bin.
Would recommend for couples rather than families due to the setting as is very peaceful.

Sep 2007, dakdora

We stayed at these studios for 2 weeks and were not impressed by them at all. On our arrival, they hadn't been cleaned, even though they should have been. the Olympic rep asked the cleaner to do it, which she did with very bad grace. Then, when we finally were allowed in, the place was still grubby, with a mouldy half eaten peach under one of the beds!
The view from the balcony was not thrilling. A line of trees blocked any view of the sea, and all we had to look at was the backyard of a house next to the studios, which was full of junk, motorbikes and washing. The walk up and down to the main road was a killer.. .more than the "not suitable for those with walking difficulties" that the brochure stated.
The resort itself was very nice but the lack of pavements along a very busy main road meant that you didn't have a pleasant stroll to the other beach areas. That the beaches where another long, steep walk down from the road also resulted in a lack of views. The best places to enjoy the view were in the cafes and bars on the way to and from the main harbour.
We weren't much impressed with the number of restaurants in the vicinity, although the little cafe next to where you walked up to the studios, was friendly and the food was very good. One place did have great views and was not too far from where we were but the second time we ate there, I was served undercooked chicken so we didn't bother going there again.
We definitely would not come back to this resort again.

We have just returned from a week’s holiday in the Fotinula studios and after booking this rather late didn’t know what to expect. I was very surprised when we arrived as the view was fantastic from our balcony, we couldn’t fault the place and the family Katrina and her mother was very helpful and friendly people. Spirros and his family were really lovely people too.
We really enjoyed the whole place even though it was a good way up the hill, don’t worry you get used to it. I personally have arthritis in my lower back but it did it the world of good. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.
