Marina Studios

The studio was basic, clean, and opposite the supermarket. Cleaned and towels refeshed every other day. However we were left out in the street for over an hour until we sorted out how to get into the studio as no=-one was there to greet us and we had not been emailed the simple instructions regarding the key and turning the electricity on.
Sheets were not replaced in the 10 days.
Air con is turned on if until one pays 5 euros per day extra, paid in cash to the owner when he showed up. This information was not given in advance.
No-one was there to meet us and give the key; the phone number was not easily available either.

Cooking facilities were minimal; only 2 saucepans, one wooden spoon and a ladle. 2 hot rings, no oven, microwave.
Rings were directly under a low cupboard which made cooking even more difficult.
There was a safe but that also cost extra. However, we discovered from other holiday makers that the code was the same for every one of the safes.
Extremely noisy in the front every night and in the back when the family were in thier adjoining apartment at the weekends. Certainly not a queit area.
The studios were above a car/bike hire shop which added to the noise. There was a constant smell of petrol as they siphoned off the petrol from the hire machines daily.
20 minutes notice for vacation was given.

A last minute break with Olympic. I love Greece but my partner had never been so I wanted to ensure he wasn't put off by the wrong accommodation. I needn't have worried. The flight out wasn't brilliant, the stewardess was not what you call customer service orientated but when we finally arrived at the apartments all that was forgotten. Typical basic greek accommodation. But Katerina, Family and staff were absolutely fantastic. Katerina works tirelessly from 7.00am until the last guest goes to bed and couldn't do enough for you. Guests are treated more like friends and when we were unexpectedly late returning from a trip, Katerina checked with our Rep to ensure we were ok! The pool area was spotless, the snacks and bar service second to none and their Greek night a must! Thanks all at the Marina Studios for a fantastic holiday.

Have just got back from 2 weeks at Marina, it was absolutely brilliant rooms were basic but clean (Kiki never stopped cleaning. Greek night was one you just carnt miss (so good we went twice). Pool cleaned every night & put an empty glass or cup down & it is taken away & the table cleaned.
It was that good we have book to go back in 7 weeks we are so looking forward to it

we have been to marina studios 4 times now and we love it.Katarina and mikey and family make you always welcome and accommodation is very clean and tidy pool always cleaned. Rose garden to eat is also good, and there is a pizza place near by is also very good.Greek night not to be missed people are very friendly we meet, and its nice to go back after you have been out to eat, we normally stay up till late talking and having fun. we are hoping to go back again this year.

What a Fantastic holiday my friend Spikey Linda and myself (also named Linda) had at the Marina in Sept 2010. I would like to thank Katerina, Makis and family for making our holiday so very special and loved every minute of it. If you stay here I will guarantee you will not be disappointed. Although basic it was spotlessly clean as the maid KiKi worked very hard,and nothing was too much trouble.I Would definately say go to Katerina's Greek night, well worth the 20 euros for the food and Entertainment, we actually went twice in our 2 weeks stay here. We also met some special people and would like to thank (Paul and Marie, Peter and Karen, Rob and Annie, Caroline and Annie, Ollie and Julie, Gary and Jan)for all the fun filled nights of laughter we all had.
Well what can I say about Katerina, she is beautiful and made us laugh everyday, I want to adopt her.
I will definately go back and stay at the Marina.

Thankyou to Katarina,Makis and family for the best holiday ive ever had..it was like being part of a family and so welcoming,the rooms were basic but all that you need is there didnt have a toaster unlike some LOL but we managed,the maid Kiki was very helpfull and gave us anything we needed,the rooms were very clean so those of you that said they wasnt should have gone to Specsavers....the other guests were so friendly and had a blast..the pools were great i even had my very own baby pool all to myself perfick..they were checked and cleaned every evening we use to watch Makis doing it (come spy with me) LOL I would deffo recommend Katarina`s greek night it is great and well worth the money..I will deffo go back and im saving my pennies already...Katarina im coming im coming LOL so thankyou for a great time and 10/10 luv and hugs to you and your family one of the Linda`s aka Spikey xxxxx PS If you go in September take a wasp spray they are pests LOL xx

Myself and my girlfriend Marie booked this hotel package with Olympic from 17th Sept 2010 for a week to celebrate her birthday and after reading the other reviews thought it was worth a try, So glad we did cos we had a brilliant week and didnt want to leave when it was time to, Katerina and Makis make you feel very welcome and make every effort to make sure your holiday is as good as it can be, very clean apartments and yes very basic but it is only a 2* (i had a toaster in mine but not your normal toaster lol) Lovely pool very relaxed atmosphere and with there being only 20 apartments sun beds were a plenty and everyone very freindly and what a bloody laugh we had at times :-) lol, ignore the twonks moans you will not be dissapointed and the Greek night IS A MUST we had a great time great food and soooo many laughs my sides still hurt (Ollie you still smiling lol)
would we go back again ??? too bloody right we would !!
also reccomend the Village Taverna & Zaks family taverna,an amazing food experience.
once again a massive thanks to Katerina & Makis for a brilliant holiday and hopefully see you next year sometime.

I have just returned from a week at Marina Studios where i was made to feel welcome by Katerina and Makis (the owners). i went with Olympic Holidays and booked last minute £225, i didnt really thin i would get alot for my money but i was wrong. The rooms were clean, air conditioning worked very well, swimming pool was lovely and the bar area was really lovely. it is a five minute walk to a beautiful beach and 25 mins from Corfu town. All in all i had a wonderful holiday

Amazing food, spotless, friendly people, lefty is lovely, just the best! nothing bad to say

marina studios were very basic as expected for greece,had kettle in room which you had to boil on the hob,recommend you take your own as it takes ages to boil,the shower curtain was a bit grubby and it stuck to you because it is close to the toilet,air conditioning was expensive at 45 euros a week and noisy ,we did not hire it as the noisy one from next door kept us awake ,the local dogs will probably keep you awake anyway as well as the the traffic at the side of the studios ,safety deposit boxes are 30 euros a fortnight,katerina will be your best friend for life if you agree to go to her greek night or drink in her bar . greek night is 20 euros pp without drinks ,no draught beer at studios only expensive small bottles,rooms cleaned fairly regularly but had dry blood on fresh towel wich was changed straight away sheets are paper thin and had holes in them, we must say the pool area is kept very clean and there were plenty of sunbeds ,the studios are in a ideal location for the shops and bars,but remember book your greek night to keep katerina happy and dont make waves. had some really nice meals at the rose garden ,very friendly staff,we also went to buddies bar for nice cheap drinks and the occasional karaoke night ,we didnt mind the mice
