the miami sea veiw is a typical greek style apt block/complex. the room we had was clean, simple and well appointed. air conditioning was superb at very little extra cost. the pool was cool and clean, plenty of sunloungers and snacks/drinks available from the bar. kostas (the owner) was attentive without being intrusive, very helpful chap! would stay here again without hesitation, the veiws really are quite stunning and the steps were no issue for me,and i'm the wrong side of 35!!! short walk gets you into the thick of kavos action or down to the beach..just far enough out of the centre to let you sleep! as for the mosquito's,well, thats every place i have ever stayed in greece be it basic or 5star!...£3 spent on a repelent job done!!

Myself and my mate stayed here for a week and honestly it isnt that bad! The steps are a bit of a pain but all we thought about was it was giving our bums a great workout for the week! Its only difficult when your lugging your suitcase up but you only have to do that once. The room we were given was spacious, had all the basic things you need for your holiday, yeh you have to kind of squat in the shower so water doesn't go everywhere and sometimes the water can be a bit cold but honestly when you've been out in the sun all day its actually nice having cold water! It gets warm after about 2 minutes anyway! Stella and Costas who own the hotel are lovely, they made our holiday so memorable! They do so much work around the hotel and keep the bar open until 1 and the cocktails they make are amazing and not watered down like the ones in the bars on the main strip. Take LOTS of mozzy stray and not just the cheap stuff cos those buggers will get you if your not covered in really good spray! They have a lovely relaxing quiet pool as well, great if your suffering with massive hangover!
Overall it was an awesome holiday!! cheap and cheerful!

After reading many reviews about this holiday we decided we would be extra careful in keeping our money and belongings safe in the apartment (padlocks, hiding money in socks, etc.) When we arrived we were immediatly greeted by the famous Costas. After reading many bad things about him we were quite edgey around him but gave him the benefit of the doubt. He gave us free drinks on the house and took us to our room. The room was VERY basic and had two rooms with two beds in each room and a plug in stove. The shower was on the floor next to the toilet in the bathroom which was no bigger than 1 square metre. We met sadie our holiday rep for olympic holidays. I think Olympic holidays made that holiday for us as they provided us with activitys and bar crawls for the whole week for only 100 euro's. We made sure we had a drink in Costas's bar everyday so that we didnt upset him. Sometimes we would sleep in till 4 oclock in the afternoon and would find Stella cleaning around us when we woke. The nightlife in Kavos was AMAZING and was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Costas would sometimes be funny with us if we didnt come to his bar and went out instead. The stairs going up to the bar were very overreacted on the reviews but then again were not very pleasent to walk up when drunk. Luckily our apartment was the first one up the steps so we didnt have far to walk. If you are going to this hotel I advise you to:
-Buy a drink from Costas at least once a day
-Lock up your suitcases and dont leave any cash lying around in the apartment.
-Bring super noodles (these came quite handy when my mates were hungry and wanted something quick to eat)
-Be pleasent to Costas because if you get on the wrong side of him dont expect your belongings to be safe!!

After reading the reviews on here... we were crapping ourselves..
the dreaded steps everyone was on about are not as bad as we imagined.. ur ok if you walk up them slowly.. try n run it [while half cut] and ul have killer leg burn.
we opted out of having air-con [more money for drink] but we heard it keeps the majority of the mozzies out!
there are LOADS of mozzies.. we tried everything.. but if ur walking down the strip ul notice all the locals use the mozzie burning coil and as long as u have a window ur safe. and it works.
I can honestly say you wont go hungry. Food made by Stella is lush! and even on the main strip there are alot of cheap places to eat. out there people think 3.80euros is expensive for a full english. but the portions are HUGE and you wont wana eat for the rest of the day.
Cocktails are very cheap at the pool bar - buy one get one free and nearly always get a free shot of something or other. - oh and another thing.. ur likely to be given a shot of sambuca with ur fry up in the morning!!
pubs n clubs are cheap on drinks [except well known brands and bottles] BUT
thing is as costa's said..they ARE watered down.
Margarita's bar is small but is all our favourites by far.
they give u free shots when they feel like it.
and cocktails are 5euros for 2 cocktails and 5 shots.
If ur planning on hiring bikes or quads agree with the company to begin with that ur not handing over ur passport.. coz if u crash it.. which lots of people have, and try do a runner u wont be getting ur passport back and you wont be leaving the country.
but i would recommend getting bikes out. we did and he did us a deal for 2 days so its worth haggling.
I would defo go back again. cant wait!

Kavos is an idyllic resort for any kind of holiday you desire. Whether you want to relax and rejuvinate or party and have fun. Kavos offers it all.
Do not stay at Miami Sea View, IF YOU ARE EXPECTING THE RITZ. This hotel is for groups of young people to dance all day and meet lots of new people. The area is safe and secure and the staff are helpful, naturally they show yuo respect because you show them respect.
HAVE FUN IN KAVOS!!!!!

Myself and 10 lads stayed here from te 1st of sept and it was just as i was expecting!
very very basic!!! shower very temprimental! steps are a killer especially if ur going to be getting hammered! hardest beds in the world and MOZZIES everywhere! after 4 days i had 80 bites!we spent most of our time at a local pool down by the beach the pool at miami is very small and the bar prices are rediculous as are the prices the man tries to charge u for anything! we were kicked out at 12pm on the day of departure and for 11 people we had to pay for 3 holding rooms at 20euros a go so we told him to stuff it! the cheap tables and chairs outside u need to be aware of! my mate sat on 1 and it broke and the man there said he had to pay or he wouldnt be alowed on the plane!haha
but overallif ur looking for a cheap lads place then get there if u aint fussy! kavos nightlife is mega!

Ashton under lyne cliq did kavos 4 the week stayed at Miami Sea view!! Read the reports b4 we went and wasnt looking forward to it really!! Turned out ok thou. The steps were a bum but u gradually get used to them! Air con is a must if u go but get a set rate because Kosta's(a fortune) will charge u something off the top of his head!! Stella was great and so was the other guy but i warn you about Kosta's he just loves taking money off you and at a ridiculous rate! His prices were scandalous especially when you can go to the supermarket and spend hardly anything! The younger lads with us got some unexpected suprise's from room 120!!! I'd advise u 2 just be on your toe's if you go and go the beach through the day its better than having Kost's expecting you to spend a fortune at his bar!! The music round the pool is blasted out and really does your head in after a day or 2!! when u go out the P.R'S are mega mivering u to go there bars and it irritates afta a certain amount of time! Go kavos but dont go miami sea view!!! 1 last reminder watch out for the Mosquito's there a nightmare!!

Stayed here again this year and it hasnt changed at all. The steps are still there and all the same people. Met some really nice people out there and yes i did get shouted at and called a dog for talking about the steak house at the bar. Apparently its everyones left overs however its not at all and if it was how did they weld the steak back together??? I feel sorry for the yorkshire lads having to pay sooooo much money for a dirty room "EVERYBODY!!!!" hahaha Costas wernt shouting that after he saw their room it was more like "EVERYBODY PAY UP" tut tut... He saw £ signs when he saw them lot coming!!! We had a room facing the sea which was lovely and cool and we didnt need the air con. We had a situation 1 night when the boys next door to us smashed our table and chairs up on our balcony and we nearly got charged for them but thank god Costas saw them do it. The food is gorgeous at the poolside and is quite reasonably priced. Pizzas from Nikos are a must pure fitness!!! Didnt appreciate little presents being thrown on our balcony though tut tut ahh well!! The night of Roland the Rat was hilarious Costas chasing it around the pool with a stick and trying to kill it which was quite entertaining even funnier when his stick broke!! Kareoke night was funny i dont think i actually left the microphone alone haha. Finding myself asleep in the wardrobe after a night out was quite wierd if anyone gets room 120 like me honestly that wardrobe is mine soooo keep off!!!! haha Free shots all night and day is the best. My towells were changed quite a lot after Costas saw what had happened to our others. Av had some memories from that place that i will keep forever and some that are staying there. Well until 2010 i will be back again..........

The holiday me and my mates had was brilliant. But the hotel left a sour taste.
Pros
It's close to the beach and the strip (10mins).
There's plenty of sun-loungers
Stella and Jeff are a good laugh
Cons
I've been to Greece before so I know the standards aren't great (small rooms, very basic wardrobes etc., poor shower facilities) so they're not included.
We encountered a rat running around which Kostas seemed to treat as the evening's entertainment!
Ants everywhere.
Rooms cleaned once in the 1 week we were there. Sheets and towels were not changed at all.
Air-con didn't work. No offer to move us to another room, then he moaned at us when the room stunk (3 lads staying in a cramped room at 35 degrees...hmmm)
He'll use any chance he can get to bill you extra (a broken glass, dirty sheets) and he likes to pick figures out of thin air for these items. We received a large bill and then found that 2 other groups had got similar treatment whilst we were there.
The food is poor, served in small portions and way over-priced. But Kostas had a go at a fellow "in-mate" when she mentioned going to the steak-house down the road.
I'd recommend Kavos as a place for a short boozy holiday but not Miami or Olympic to be honest. The rep we had was nice to our face and slagged us off to the owner behind our backs, and then disappeared when we needed to sort out the issues we had with the place.
- Holiday Date:Aug 2009
- Advice: Quite a dirty place but full of young people just out for a good time. Didn't see any trouble at all
- Activities: Most of the bars on the main strip are cool with free shots aplenty. All dance music and very loud.
- Good For: Beach
- Board Basis:Room Only
- Tour Operator:Olympic Holidays

me and my mate stayed at miami seaview apartments this week and some of the bad reports are true.. to be quite honest, the rooms themselves aren't that bad, they are just basic , u do get wat u need. but for cleanliness and hygeine i wouldnt rate it at all. you are meant to get clean beddin and clean towels twice a week.. on arrival me and my mate had a towel each and my towel wasnt even clean , it was covered in mucky hand prints , when i asked the cleaner for another towel she got funny with me.when she did give me a new one , she left the dirty towel there and it was there for a whole week on our bathroom floor which personally i think its disgracful , thats just laziness when the cleaner could have moved it, that is their job... you do get woken up around 8ish by loud music
( which are always the same [--] repeated songs) , there is absolutely no need for music this loud at such early time.. you do get woken up by a barking dog every day which is very annoyin.
i personally dont think it is that cheap at the bar but me and my mate didnt reli spend much time there anyway, if you do go to miami seaview appartments and dont like it , there is a pool called KONSTANTINA not far from the beach. the pool is great and the manager Tina and her bar man Alex are amazin , they are so friendly.. and tina makes the best grub ever and u certainly get wat u pay for.
They also provide SAFES at konstantina because Miami seaview dont provide them at all..
Me and my mate neva had anything stolen but we got a safe at hotel konstantina and kept our money there, and locked clothes up in suit cases..
costa did seem friendly enough but i didnt reli get to know him so i wouldnt know any other really.. there is about 90 steps because me and my mate had to walk 63 steps to our appartment. i dont think i will be staying there again because its not the most clean place to stay at all and most people we spoke to this week hated the place.. but everyone to their own , some people have good experiences and some have bad..
not suitable for elderly people.. it is in a alrite place , bout ten mins away from beach and 5 mins walk to the bars and clubs..
clubs wer absolutely amazin , i defo reccomend BUZZ BAR, ROCKY'S , & CRASH BAR, :-D
- Holiday Date:Aug 2009
- Advice: bit of a [--] to be honest , absolutely brilliant for nightlife , boring through daytime though.
- Activities: Buzz bar ,Rocky's,Crash bar,KONSTANTINA hotel throughout the day is the place, great pool, bar & food
- Good For: Beach
- Board Basis:Self Catering

After we'd booked our holiday to stay at Miami Sea View naturally we checked the reviews to find a lot were negative. However I must say that this hotel was brilliant. Both Costa and Stella were amazing hosts and I can't understand why they have been getting such a bad rep. They are always willing to talk to you if you have any problems with your room and try to encourage you to have a good time. This has to be the place to go if you're looking for a lively hotel and meet some real characters.
