Best veiw in Kassiopi

We stayed at Lofos in mid May,we have been to Kassiopi twice before and have always had a fabulous time, this time was no different except for our accommodation, the LOFOS is just gorgeous. They have the best veiw in Kassiopi, the rooms are really spacious and spotlessly clean.the pool area and snack bar are just so well positioned it would be quite easy to sit there all day and admire the stunning veiw. The village it,s self has hardly changed over the years(first time1988)everyone is so friendly and though some of the bars and restaurants have changed hands, the lovely village atmosphere is still there.plenty of places to eat and drink, our favourite was Kostas bar, where they have greek dancing every night thanks to Adonis, Nik,Kostas ,and anyone else who feels like doing their party piece, thoroughly entertaining .

These are spacious clean and comfortable apartments. The staff are welcoming & helpful. Large pool & terrace for sunbathing. The views from here are stunning & you can see the coast of Albania. Lofos is in a quiet part of Kassiopi set on a hill side so peace & quiet is a daily pleasure. There is a pool bar serving drinks & snacks & nothing is too much trouble. The bar closes at 7pm so no loud music into the night. Down the hill a max 5 minute walk are bars, tavernas and shops & a pretty harbour. Please try Don's bar not only good home cooked food made by his wife but daily discouted cocktails & sky tv. We loved Lofos apartments so much that we have booked to go back October. Regarding the hill - if you want the location just dig in and take a deep breath the view each morning is stunning

  • Advice: Harbour village, quiet & relaxing

kassopis best appartments

all the reviews we read, lead us to these wonderful appartments, the grounds, the pool and the views are brilliant, the management and staff are lovely people, who will do anything to make your holiday just right.
the steep hill that gets most mentions is steep, much worse coming back to the appartments than leaving, as it has a gradual climb from the main street, getting steeper the nearer you get. it can be quite exhausting climbing after a day or night out, but once on top at the main pool and appartment area it is well worth it for all the surrounding views.
the appartments are very basic, but who goes away to cook any way. the fridge is free and is always on, the only extra cost is the air conditioning, which is well worth it if it is as hot as when we stayed. as the thermomitre went of the scale in the sun., so 5 euros a day 35 euros a week or bargain at 60 euros for a fortnight.
the bar is open from 8-8.30 in the morning serving breakfast from cereal, toast and full english breakfast, onto lunches etc including all your drinks till 7.oclock in the evening.
having walked around the resort and sampling most bars and restaurants, this is the best place to stay in kassiopi. close to all you need.
definatly worth another visit.

We went for two weeks in late June early July this was our fifth visit to Kassiopi but our first to the Lofus. Have to say they are the nicest we have had fabulous location and very nice staff. The "Hill" is steep but only for the last 50 yards or so I have a heart condition but never had a problem.A couple of down points 1 , the bar closes at 7 oclock which is a pity. 2, the walls are a little thin on some of the apartments, but as it was a grown up crowd when we were there it wasnt a problem.
Dont know if this is allowed but if you want lots of info on Corfu and Kassiopi google Agni greece

Myself and family have just returned...

Myself and family have just returned from Kassiopi after a two week stay at the Lofos Apartments and have had a wonderful time from the minute we boarded the plane ( we travelled from East Midlands with BMI)the staff onboard were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
On arrival at our apartments, which was in the middle of the night we first encountered the very steep drive and thought what on earth have we come too but on waking the following morning we soon discovered that these well maintained apartments were in a good position for reaching the village and you soon got used to the steep drive!
The apartments, pool area and all surrounding areas are very clean and cared for by the lovely owners and their staff and again nothing was too much for them. They were so friendly and we were surprised by how many repeat customers checked in during our stay and as time went by we understood why.
Kassiopi itself is a wonderful traditional village with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from - perfect for a family holiday. We ate the most wonderful meals - Greek, Chinese, Mexican and Italian.
I can recommend Olympic holidays, the Lofos Apartments and Kassiopi to anyone, this has been one of the nicest holidays we have been on from start to finish. My advice would be if you're thinking of going to Lofos don't hesitate and go, we certainly will be heading back!

Our second trip to Corfu & first to...

Our second trip to Corfu & first to Kassiopi. Saw Kassiopi on boat trip some years before & decided we would go for a full stay some time - really pleased we did.
Tried to book in Solaris, but full, so went to Lofus - based on mostly good web reviews - turned out to be a great decision.
We were told we had inland view, but arrived to find we had probably the best views in the whole block - spacious corner balcony with views out over pool to both the harbour & the other bay - incredible.
Apartment (studio) was excellent. Cleaned six times per week. Had everything we needed. Definitely needed the air conditioning, which we found out (a bit late) was available - essential for decent sleep & well worth the reasonable 5 Euro's per day.
Only drawback to apartment was cooker which was very limited - though OK for simplest of meals.
Pool was first class - poolside bar good - closed early evening, but short walk down hill was Don's - good value & good service (Happy Hour 1 till 7...!)
Thoroughly recommend the Lofus - ignore reviews that go on about walk up steep hill - it's only a few yards & the views are well worth the effort (gets rid of a few of the calories heaped on....).
Owners & staff were friendly & welcoming - genuinely so.
Town centre only a very short & interesting walk away.
Afraid we can't understand why everyone raves about Janis's (restaurant) - we preferred the simpler & considerably better value places overlooking the harbour.
We hired jeep for three days & saw most of the island - would recommend this to anyone, as it's like having a second holiday on top of the first. Don't worry about the traffic you see on transfer - once you get out & about you find it's much quieter, especially off the major roads. The place is beautiful - also, you can tour the resorts from pool to pool - there are so many places where, if you have a drink at the bar you're welcome to use the pool for a cooling splash - great.
Saw all the major places & many are lovely - however, Kassiopi was without doubt our all-round favourite - also, we didn't see any other apartments that we would rather have stayed in than the Lofus.
We would go back without hesitation - that said, we've already checked next year's prices & found that the same holiday next year would cost us 50% more than we paid - good grief - fuel costs or not, I really can't see how that sort of escalation is justified.
We are looking at booking accommodation & flights separate & direct - with car collected at airport.
Anyway, that was the best holiday we can remember for a long, long time (hence all this diatribe......) - Cheers!

Hotel Lofos has fantastic views which...

Hotel Lofos has fantastic views which would be hard to be beaten. These can be viewed from the pool / bar area. Our studio room had inland views.
The rooms were cleaned 5/6 times each week, although towels and bedding were not changed this often. The air conditioning in our room did not work well at all and we were charged 35Euro for a week - Cooking facilities are very poor with just two rings - impossible to eat in & cook anything. Be prepared to eat out every day.
The hotel offers no facilities other than the pool. Nothing is available for children, there is no games room and no quiz night or anything going on. The bar closed around the pool at 7pm each evening so they are losing out on business here!
Be aware if you choose to pay for a safety security box - the room it is in is locked at 8pm each evening. We were caught short with this and were left without money one evening as was another couple we met.
We stayed for two weeks and ate extremely well - eating somewhere different each evening but our favourite place was Noufoura which faces the harbour. Recommend the Stiffado!!We met so many lovely people from Ireland/Scotland who had stayed at this hotel 3/4 times previously - so this says what a lovely resort Kassiopi is. - Although many also said they would be unlikely to return next year due to price increases. Costs are pretty much the same as for us in England - but rising fuel costs etc have impacted the cost of everything. We found the holiday very relaxing and really enjoyed our stay. Trips we booked through Cosmic travel - coaches didn't turn up. I'd use other company's if we return again! Jo & Andy.

Lofos is a great place to stay and we...

Lofos is a great place to stay and we had a wonderful time in Kassiopi. We had to mark it down for two reasons:
1) The walls between apartments are too thin and you could hear everything that next door were saying and the scraping of chairs and beds above was unbearable at times. We were constantly being woken up by our neighbours at 07:00am due to their screaming kid. Not their fault but it was annoying at times. I’m sure they could also hear what we were saying too.
2) The cooker was rubbish - if you’re intending to cook all the time yourself then this is probably not the place for you! We tried for 1 hour to cook 2 omelettes. After that we ate out all the time - which is fine in Kassiopi as there are numerous places to eat and drink.
We made some great friends at Lofo's as mostly all the people who stay there are British. We had some of our friends from home staying in Roda Beach Village and we went there for the day - all I can say is go to Lofos and stay in Kassiopi as the 5 star hotel was not a patch on where we were staying. Our friends also came to Lofos/Kassiopi for the day and they were gutted that they paid so much for their holiday compared to us.
Eating out is ideal in Kassiopi - Janis is the best. We anticipated Corfu to be a lot cheaper than the UK but found prices to be on par with London at times!
We will be returning!

These are excellent studios let down...

Jul 2007, Mr DAVE MCCROSSEN

These are excellent studios let down by a total lack of cleaning.
In the two weeks we were there the pool did not get cleaned once, and the filter was turned on for no more than a few hours (and that was on a good day!). This meant that the water was hardly crystal clear and left you often having to swim among the various wasps and flies that had decided to drown themselves during the night!
The cleaning of the rooms was no better. In two weeks the bathroom was not cleaned at all, (also had to buy our own toilet rolls!) and the floor got no more than the occasional mop with water.
Apart from that, and the fact that the rooms cry out for air conditioning, these are a lovely set of studios (depending on which you get as some have a great view and some face a wall!)
It is a five minute stroll down into the resort which is quiet, has some great restaurants (the best being on the beach away from the sound of the bloody motor bikes!), and one or two bars.
The resort is, in essence, one road. To walk from one end of the resort to the other will take you about 10 minutes, and that includes stopping to look in shops!
The people were friendly, as they mostly are in Greece, the food was excellent (and very reasonable), and the weather was fantastic with hardly a cloud in sight.
Depending on what you are looking for, this is an excellent resort. If only the Lofus were not trying to penny pinch quite so much it would have been an outstanding holiday rather than a very good one.
One final comment, (and it seems that I am moaning all the time!) if you are with Olympic (which you will be if you are staying here) ignore what the brochure tells you about transfer times. You will be on the coach anywhere between 90 and 270 minutes. Make sure you have some water with you!

This was our fourth visit to beautiful Kassiopi and our second time at the Lofus. As always the accommodation was clean and comfortable. We were welcomed like old friends by owners Pepitsa and Spiros who, together with their staff, did everything to make our stay enjoyable.
Their poolside restaurant with very reasonable prices meant hat we didn't need to cook at all. There are ample sun beds and parasols around the pool. Although the drive is steep, it is all worth while for the peace, tranquillity and, most of all, the breathtaking views over Kassiopi and the two bays!
This time our 28 year old son came with us (wanting to see for himself what kept calling us back) He soon fell for the place.
My wife and he used to ride years ago and promised each other that they would sample the local stables. They booked at the Dimitris Riding Centre and were picked up by Dimitris himself and taken to Avlaki where they were welcomed by his English partners, Alison and David Green.
Alison is a fully trained riding instructress with years of experience (as well as an ex vetinary nurse. Great care was taken to make sure that the hard hats supplied were an excellent fit.
They were asked for their relevant riding experience and assigned horses accordingly. (The horses were obviously well fed, well looked after and had nice temperaments). They pride themselves in taking out small parties in order to give their clients full safe attention.
On this ride there were three experienced riders and one novice who was carefully looked after by the ride leader Fred ( an Anglophile who has lived in Corfu for many years) He imparted his knowledge of all the flora, fauna and historical points as the horses picked their way along winding tracks through scenic countryside. You see so much more on horseback including incredible views of the bays and across to Albania. An hour of peace and tranquillity on gentle horses in very safe hands.
Then it was down to the beach for the horses to paddle and cool off their legs before going back to the centre for a choice of cold drinks while the horses were untacked and left to cool off too! My wife and son thought it was a memorable afternoon and re-booked the next week.
As everyone who has been to Kassiopi knows their are a host of restaurants but in addition to Janis (which nearly everyone favours) Dimitri himself has a great Taverna a little down the coast, Castellos is great as well and lets not forget Dons ! We can't wait to go back!

We stayed in the Lofos last June; to be honest we were moved there. This was the best move ever. Waking up in the morning to such a spectacular view could not be bought.
The rooms were typically Greek, spotless and cleaned 6 times a week.
Having stayed in Kassiopi many times Lofos was a hidden treasure and we are returning this June for another two weeks.
