After reading some reviews on here I was a bit nervous about this. However as a basic 3* hotel, I found the room clean, the inclusive buffet varied (although we mainly used it for breakfast), and staff to be friendly and polite (and a few guests were shouting their mouths off before even checking in). The hotel is a short walk down the hill to Cap Salou which has a lovely cove beach, a few bars that serve excellent food, shops, and a takeaway, there's also a small funfair for kids and some pool tables.
Just outside the hotel the bus will take you to Port Aventura, Salou, Tarragona and Barcelona, and if you decided to have a lazy day there is a rooftop bar with no kids allowed and a couple of jacuzzis.
You can walk to Salou in about 30 minutes but if you buy a bus card it's 85 cents per trip, avoid taxis as it's 10 euros each way.
If you've paid £20 a night and are expecting rose petals on your pillow or Hilton type accomodation then maybe you should look elsewhere, but if you have realistic expectations and want a place to lay your head with walls that are no thinner than any other hotel I've stayed in then you won't go far wrong here.
I can only think the people moaning expected Disneyland all inclusive and were too lazy to venture out the hotel for a beer and some food.

I honestly do not understand why all of these pepople are complaining about the standard of Hotel Molinos Park. For a price of £222 for an all inclusive week away in Spain. What do you honestly expect that you're gonna get... The Ritz?
The food was nice, basic, for obvious reasons.. but nice. A few chefs that have to cater for perhaps 500+ People aren't gonna be able to cook diffrent meals all the time to suit everyones dietary needs.
The bar staff were generally all nice people and if you were friendly to them then they were friendly back.
I went with my boyfriend, his sister and her friend and we all had a lovely time.
The drinks were once again, basic, but nice... locally produced wines beers and spirits. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get a drink at the bar.
The hotel itself was clean and well kempt. The maids came around every day cleaning the bathrooms, changing the bedding and suppyling us with fresh towels and were kind enough to mop the floor when we dropped an ash tray on the floor shortly before their arival and they were always up for a joke with us even if they barely spoke any english.
There was occasionally a slight smell of sewage depending on where abouts in the hotel you were but that's alright as it generally wasn't there for too long probably just a slight problem with the spanish drainage systems.
Our transfer to the hotel from the airport never showed up, but that's no fault of the hotels and when we got there there was a slight problem with our booking but they soon sorted it and gave us the keys to our room.
The entertainment wasn't up to much really, but why would you need entertainemnt if you're on holiday with people you care about, do people have no imagination these days and need someone on stage singing to keep them amused? One night thought the entertainment was FABULOUS, belly dancing women and men doing traditional new zeeland chants (i'm not really sure if that's what it was, i'm not trying to cause any offence here) but it was absaloubtly brilliant.. one of the men accidently put a hole in the stage he was that into it! but that was fixed the next day.
The lifeguard was an absaloubt gem, Manuell.. he'd always stop to have a chat with us even though he speaks limited english and would always try hard to have a giggle with us anyway. One of the British holiday makers had stolen his phone one of the days we were staying there which i think is a real testemant to us Brits. :|
The kids entertainment man was perhaps the worst face painter in the entire universe.. but we just found that even more funny than if he was brilliant at it. The mini disco was quite humerous.. but only becasue it was always the same songs in the same order with the same dances.. and one night the kids all just stood their looking gormless and the entertainer didn't know what to do.. it was so funny!! I didn't quite understand his uniform though.. a tight white polo shirt and red sweat pants.. the shirt was far to small for him and just looked a bit weird xd. But he was a good laugh and we even found him.. amongst the majority of the bar staff at the nearby club the crows nest where there is a free mini bus service from the hotel to the bar at half past 12... that club was great.. reasonably priced drinks and great music that you'd find in the bars over here.. just what you need when you've been on the all inclusive drink measures they serve all day!
You can hear the majority of things that go on in the next room but luckily we had quiet neighbours apart from on the first and last days. You can hear beds creaking from above aswel which was quite disturbing. xd.
The rooms were basic four single beds shoved together for 4 people but hat's alright as you don't go on holiday to sit in your room all day.
There was a naked man wandering aqround the halls at 5 in the morning knocking on doors on the 5th floor.. which was quite funny to us but probably wouldn't be to a family that were trying to get some sleep!
The pool area was nice enoguh and the pool was never too full and was always clean!
OH and the Rooftop Jacuzis were FABULOUS, 4 amazing jacuzis with diffrent temerpatures.. loads of sun loungers and it's own rooftop bar! amazing! no kids allowed aswel so if you're looking for a bit of a get away from screaming kids.. then the roof is the place to be!
I would definatly reccomend hotel molinos park to holiday makers that are up for a laugh and don't mind a bit of noise! I had a great holiday and would definatly consider going back!

me and my husband have been going to molinos park for the last five years twice a year and have probably seen more than some the hotel staff are polite and always willing to help as much as possible the food is always varied and kept in good supply the bar staff are fantastic especially jimmy the head bar man he always has a smile for anyone and the drinks are not watered down. dont get me wrong we have seen a change since we first went but that was before all inclusive what do you expect when drinks are flowing freely some people go to extremes but the staff try to sort it out quickly and as peacably as possible if not the police will be called just like every other pub in britain.Everytime we go we always find one whinging brit if they want to have a five star hotel then pay for it i am certainly be going back

Its quite true! you get what you pay for.The hotel is a bit tired, the staff are helpfull and polite, the food was fairly varied, well cooked and well presented. The problem is unfortunatly some of the british guests who seem to think it clever to shout, swear, bang doors and fight at 2 and 3 in the morning. The first 2 nights we were there the police had to raid neighboring rooms due to vandalism this resulted in their passports being confiscated and thrown out of the country. If you want an all action holiday I can definatly recommend this hotel!!

Reading the reviews here it seems most people expect one of the cheapest hotels in Cap Salou to also offer 5 star quality. Unsurprisingly, it does not. If you want that, then how about paying out for a better hotel, eh?
It's also worth bearing in mind that such places attract the kind of scummy holiday Brits Abroad that are an embarrassment to us all. This is made many times worse by the hotel catering for the 'all-inclusive' crowd. If you don't want to go all-inclusive, then do not stay here! If you actually have to PAY for your drinks in the hotel, they don't know what to do, and you get the same watered-down tiny measures as the all-inclusive people - case in point: 2 vodka & cokes (made with Panda cola and alleged 'vodka' which at best was 20% by vol) cost us over NINE EUROS! Bottles of Estrella cost 1.70 euros, which is an excellent price - but stopping here without being all-inclusive will cause you huge problems.
FOOD: The food is hit and miss. There is a large selection, and if you're prepared to brave new dishes then you won't be disappointed. If you're stopping here, though, you're most likely the kind of person who hates 'foreign muck' and will be eating nothing but chips. There are always chips to fill your plate up, and to be fair they are quite nice, but it really is shocking to see Brits eat nothing else! Breakfast is ok for Continental-style stuff, and there is always a fried breakfast available but you may not like the Spanish bacon. Luckily for the Brits there are even chips served at breakfast...
STAFF: Most staff speak far better English than the guests, but sometimes strange requests will flummox them. A couple of them are a bit moody - but I'm entirely sure that's because of the way they are treated by the ignorant scummy guests. If you try smiling and being mildly nice to them, they are fine. How about even learning a few key Spanish phrases before you go to Spain? It works wonders.
LOCATION: We made a mistake. Being in Cap Salou, I thought the local bars would all be Spanish. They ALL cater for the English crowd - so expect egg and chips and Karaoke and miserable faces everywhere. Not quite as miserable as the faces sat around the hotel pool all day drinking, but close. There are several great beaches within a few minutes walk, and there are stunning views from the hotel and surrounding area which take in Salou, Cambrils, panoramic ocean, and the graceful mountains always in the background. The countryside around there is beautiful and well worth booking the Jeep ride to see. Salou centre is a 10 min bus ride (1.75 euros), or you can walk along the coastal path and be there in 15 minutes. You'll be wanting to do this as often as possible to get away from the Costa del Warrington.
Overall, the hotel would be fine apart from one really major let-down: The walls really are too thin. You can hear everything from people using the toilet to kids screaming and stomping around. I'm very tolerant because you're always going to get 'people noise', but this came close to ruining our holiday. The highlight was someone snoring loudly, but this was topped by the idiot next door running off crying to his Dad and spending 3 hours shouting so loudly that it literally woke half of the hotel up - who then started singing, shouting, and fighting about it.
I think the hotel should be two star at best, simply because of the walls.
Maid service is excellent for a cheap hotel, with towels changed daily and beds made. Being out of the way, there is an ant problem, but it's not too bad... but be warned if you leave sweets or glasses of coke lay around you WILL be infested by the little blighters! Take care and they're not a problem - they won't bite!
In short, this is a good hotel totally ruined by the thin walls and the cheap all-inclusive crowd which it attracts. I WOULD send my worst enemy there - but only because I'm a very mean and nasty person to my enemies.
Unless you expect your Spanish holiday to be exactly like Saturday night in Salford, you should steer well clear of this place - my advice is to stop closer to Salou in a place with walls that aren't made of cardboard. It will be worth the extra money.

just home from a weeks holiday at the molinos hotel, with my fiancee, brother & his girlfriend, we really enjoyed our stay, had read the reviews before and were worried, but we had no need, the staff were all very pleasant and always having a laugh and a joke, the meals were nice not the best but something for everyone, again staff in restaurant very friendly, roof top jacuzzis were great for relaxing, sebastian is the bar man there very funny guy !! only fault we had with hotel was that the walls were paper thin, could here everything from other rooms so didnt get much sleep, but all in all we had a great holiday cap salou is very quiet but for less than 2 euros you can jump on the bus to salou where there is alot more atmosphere - portaventura was brilliant !!!

after reading other reviews before we left we were worried, but we ignored them and hoped for the best, but it was worse than we thought, where do i start
bad: walls were paper thin, you can hear EVERYTHING from people speaking to doing other things, you can also smell other peoples toilet smells yuk.
after we showered there was a dirty smell that came from the drains.
the toilet seat was broken and was never fixed.
the air con didnt work and was very stuffy
there was no chairs on balcony.
beds very uncomfortable.
the entertainment was a joke.
ANTS EVERYWHERE, they were in the sink, in the wardrobe, in the drawers all over the floors, thousands of them.
alcohol was watered down.
the food was VILE, you could smell it being cooked and it smelt disgusting, everything tasted the same (tasteless). the worst food i have ever had. more or less lived on salad and chips.
GOOD: my partner says the lager was good.
rooms cleaned everyday and fresh towels.
staff were nice.
the area was lovely, great views and only 20 min walk into salou.
loved the roof top adults bar and jacuzzies.
portaventura was fab (even in the rain)
overall this hotel does not deserve a 3 star rating i would give it a 2 star.
would be a great hotel if they revamped the rooms, thicher walls, got rid of ants, and got in a proper chef.
will def not be returning and would not recommend it to my worst enemy.

Having read many of the reviews for this place before going i was quite worried-and was right to be! I have read bad reviews on places ive been before and have always found them exaggerated but this is the worst hotel i have stayed in.
I found the staff fine. If you are polite to them they are the same back. The rooms were clean and towels changed daily. A bit rundown though. There did seem to be a lot of ants but you do expect that abroad. My main complaint was the noise, I think the walls were made of paper mache! We could hear the man snoring loudly on one side and children giggling and talking in the next. If you decide to try and catch up on sleep the next day dont bother- the maids sounded like they were throwing beds around. I think people that didnt hear anything must have passed out in a drunken stupor because of the alcohol measures (want some coke with your vodka?)
The resort itself was nice and less touristy and seedy than Salou but still a quick, cheap bus ride away. Aquopolis was cool, a good day out. Had planned trips to Portaventura and Monserrat but it poured for most of the week. Cant do anything about that but some entertainment in the hotel would have been nice.
As a last warning, i dont know whats going on with the hotel but the whole week we were there the people arriving were sent for their first night to another hotel nearby called Torre Salou( ourselves included). The place was disgusting and smelled of sewage. I dont know if the hotel was overbooking or if it is the travel companys fault but it was irritating not being able to unpack. The only good thing about being moved was the silence but we didnt appreciate it enough as we didnt know what was coming!
A three star is a definite overrating and should be a two.

This hotel is in urgent need of a visit from Kim and Aggie! health inspectors would have a field day here. Flies flies flies and more flies! Maids visit rooms everyday but only make beds nothing else and they certainly don't clean them before new arrivals, our room was a disgrace. The bathrooms have a shower that is situated in the middle of the bath, so you have to balance precariously to even get wet. The toilet in our room flushed boiling hot water, which was pretty dangerous esp when you have young children and the cistern is as hot as a freshly boiled kettle. There were several fights in the hotel bar while we were there, some caused by 'brits on the piss' but some by the barstaff. there is one security guard who only comes on at night(presumably because there are so many fights) but he ended up K.O.'d on the floor during one scuffle.Security is not high on the agenda of this place. They have people climbing over the walls into the hotel grounds selling fake dvd's and offering massages. These people wander around and up the outside fire escape unchallenged. Very worrying when the maids sometimes 'forget' to close the doors after supposedly cleaning them. My handbag was stolen from inside the hotel restaurant with all our money and possessions in it.As if that wasn't bad enough we had to sit in our room guarding it for 2 hours until the manager appeared with the spare safe key.The restaurant manageress assured me the theft was captured on the cctv, as did the hotel manager the next morning. However, when i told them the police wanted to view it, the footage disappeared without trace. This hotel is the spanish version of Faulty Towers, funny to watch but not at all funny when you are staying there. If you still decide to go then make sure you don't get room 239 because the key for the safe in this room was in my handbag that was stolen, so someone has the room number and the safe key. BEWARE!
