I went self catering with my daughter, in a studio apartment. Room was very clean but cooking area wasn’t very big but managed.
The staff were lovely people and very helpful. They have a Greek night on a Wednesday where you can order a barbeque which was very nice, and the bar stays open quite late. I had a lovely time there and would go back again.

Just come back from Ipsos today and stayed at the Yiannis Hotel for a week. The hotel is lovely the rooms are basic but are kept clean daily by the cleaners.
The hotel staff are very friendly, the bar staff are Theo, Mario and George. You must try George's lush cocktails!!
The pool is a bit small but has a good snack bar, serving good food and a good selection of drinks all day until 2am.
Location of the Hotel is good very close to the beach and main strip.
They have good entertainment in the evenings, with Greek Night, Karaoke etc.
Now then these are a few points which I feel I would have liked to know before booking this hotel:
* there is a dog living next door to the hotel it kept my boyfriend up most nights barking away!
* air condition is 4 Euro a night, but you are not allowed to pay daily, if you decide to get air condition you have to pay for the duration of your stay.
* there is a pub close to the hotel called Hideaway-they tend to play music very high until about 4am some mornings.
* me and my boyfriend went for a relaxing holiday but felt there were too many teenagers staying at this hotel with their families. They were a pain during the day around the pool area hassling people by messing around in the pool and around pool area. Therefore I strongly feel that this hotel should have someone to observe the pool area when English teenagers like this stay there, because they have no respect for other people who are trying to have a relaxing holiday!
* the night life in Ipsos is strange. When we were going out to eat around 7:30pm the bars were very quiet, it doesn’t get busy until 12:30ish and the nigh carries on until 5am! This did not suit us as we were ready to head back to the hotel most nights around 1:30 when the night life was beginning. Which means when you are sleeping 5am some young drunks who are coming back tend not to think of others and make a lot of noise!
If we were to go to Corfu again I wouldn't stay at the Yiannis Hotel because overall it is a noisy hotel. I would highly recommend SIDARI for couples, we went last year, and everything was A+!

Brilliant apartments, very good Greek standard! With the added bonus of a new swimming pool. On arrival you are greeted with your complimentary pot of honey, really tasty.
Family run and very welcoming, really can't say enough good things about them. By the time your holiday is over you will be left wanting more! Can't wait till we re-book to go back.

Yiannis Apartments are lovely secluded quiet apartments and studios in this beautiful resort. Set back about 800 metres from the beach in a pleasant valley with well-maintained gardens all round.
The apartments were very clean and quite large compared to usual Greek holiday apartments.
Agios Georgios north is a marvellous place to relax, walk, or just mess about on the superb sandy beach.

Yiannis is a wonderful place to stay, lovely and peaceful.
Nice big room, 4x proper beds, 1x separate bedroom, lovely balcony, and views of Yiannis s garden. Lots of olive and fruit trees. The use of Billy’s pool, very nice place.
Two lovely sisters running it. 10 min walk to town and lovely beach, nice restaurants, especially Captain Johns, wonderful staff and food.
I would recommend Kefalos to families it is a really special place, we will be going back soon.

Excellent destination! Gouvia, it's a small place, but has everything you need. Many shops, tavernas, clubs.
If you go to Corfu Island you must go on cruising with Magdalena. Both of Captains are very nice people, and also both of them are Spiros. With them you will not be bored. I had a great time there, especially at Taverna Aries. I was surprised with show that waiters make. Also, they all are excellent dancers, especially Stefanas who is also very cute:)
I would recommend Corfu Island to everybody, and for night life, go to "a really Greek place", Aries!
