Thanks to previous holiday reviews we picked the Yiannis Apartments. We were not disappointed, mind you we are returning in June but as Yiannis only have 12 rooms they are all fully booked so we are going to the Hermes Hotel instead. We had a great time last September. The apartments are very clean, rooms appear to have been cleaned every other day and the family are very pleasant. On a Monday night Sevvy and family do their own barbecue for their guests and it's free, although of course you will spend money at the bar but it's a nice touch. The resort itself is an eating and drinking haven. Pints of lager were in the region of just 1 Euro 50 at selected bars and most of the eateries are good value for money with lots of food. We hired a Quad Bike for the first time with Katerina's and it was fabulous. We shall do so again in June. If you want any more information please let me know. We also did the day trip to Nyssyros (volcano) and Kalymnos etc, well worth it. I cant wait to get back in June, I just hope the re-furbished Hermes is to my liking!!

Beautiful apartments - Yiannis, Savvy and family couldnt be nicer. Best apartments we have been to yet after visiting Kefalos for 10 years. Free BBQ on Monday evenings (excluding your drinks of course)! Beautiful pool - very clean. Best yet - highly recommended!

We have recently returned from two very enjoyable weeks at Yiannis Apartments in Mastihari. We booked on the internet with Daphne who runs the Mastihari Uncovered website which contains a wealth of information for the independent traveller. It is well worth looking at! The apartments were well-equipped by Greek standards, spacious and very clean. Daphne, who has lived in Mastihari for the past 15 years, was on hand for any help, advice or recommendations at no cost whatsoever. If you want a really ‘Greek’ resort mingling with lots of locals, a beautiful beach, an excellent bus service to other parts of the island, friendly tavernas serving good, reasonably-priced food, no discos or loud music blaring out then Mastihari could well be for you.

Just returned from a very hot week in Yannis Hotel. Met by brilliant staff - best ever hotel greeting and I have holidayed around the world! Rooms basic and about average for Greece - not forgetting you have to put your loo paper in the bins, I hate that!!!. Rooms were cleaned daily - towels changed twice during week. Breakfast was boiled eggs, cheese, ham, bread and cereal every day - without a single change of items! Very manotomus. Plagued by wasps and biting insects around the pool so you could not doze off. Also they play loud music throughout the day by the pool. The hill down to the town was just a pleasant slope 5 minutes long I don't understand why people struggle with that, I am in late 40's and didn't really notice it. The biggest issue with staying here was the nightlife. Ok, the hotel made nice cocktails and had themed nights and played a couple of films, Batman and Mama Mia but if you ventured out of the hotel - the famous mile strip of Ipsos was hopeless and dead. Bars and clubs were empty and you sat there drinking alone. There was one livelyish nightclub used by the younger ones, I felt sorry for anyone who wanted to party! Overall, a nice hotel in a nice place with nice people. OK if you are happy with that.

been to yiannis apartments for the first time and had a great time at this family run accomodation. Yiannis, Sevvy and family could not do enough for you.Apartment kept clean and towels and bedding changed on a regular basis. Great pool and poolside bar, always made very welcome with snacks (crisps/nuts) on the table.I would recommend these apartments to anyone visiting Kefalos.
My teenage daughter says they do a fabulous cooked breakfast.

Just back from yannis,it was the first time i had been to Corfu and it was great. The hotel was fine and the staff were lovely especially Colin,Tracy,Billy and George. The hotel is at the top of a hill but you get used to walking up and down it. It is well situated as you are not right in the hustle and bustle of Ipsos so its relaxing but a 5 min walk and your right where its happening. I would recommend it and would definately go back.

Just got back from Yannis, on arrival we were greeted by Tracy from reception she like Colin is absolutely lovely very welcoming and helpful always had time for a chat. This family run hotel is great, the pool area and bar should be rated at least 3 star very clean, comfortable, lots of sunbeds and brolleys which were free. The pool bar was run by the very friendly Theo, Billy,Mario and of course my absolute favourite George I wanted him to come home with us he is a gorgeous person. The pool offered good food and beverages George's coctails were the best. There was entertainment through the week Karaoke, Greek night, quiz night and on the Saturday after we left Mammamia night. My only critisism of yannis is our room was only cleaned once during our stay and we had to ask for clean towels on the Monday or else we would not of got any until Tuesday, remember we were there since the Friday so if you visit put some towels in your case. On the whole the room was basic but clean, comfortable and had a fantastic view of the sea and mountains, the hotel itself was spotless. The Olympic Rep visited regularly and was very informative. Yannis is in a great location you soon get used to walking up the hill well my husband pulled me up if Id had too many Pina coladas. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants Phevos was our favourite restaurant, we spent a lot of time at Tiffany's and Dirty Nellies some good acts on there. Ipsos was spoilt by the italians August is there summer holiday period and they get the ferry to Ipsos they are rude, have no manners at all and are very arrogant you have to walk around them to get past and they all have scooters so if you cross the road its your life in your own hands. Overall we had a lovely holiday, the Yannis hotel definately contributed to this. We have travelled for over 20 years the staff at yannis are probably the best we've come across. If we ever return to Ipsos we will definately stay in the Yannis hotel. It is a lovely easy going hotel. Its a credit to the Yannis family. Also it is the first time we have used Olympic everything went according to plan, we will use this company again next year.

spent the most wonderful two weeks in Pefkos (9.7.08-23.7.08) (despite the earthquake/forest fires)(didn't spoil our hol one bit)(originally booked for the lia matina studios with Direct Holidays but there was a change of accomodation(bookedin Feb 08 but changed to Yiannis apts two weeks prior to departure (fab)(YIANNIS will be going with kosmar from next year) no probs with Direct Hols whatsoever ...........we didn't stay in the Eleni apts BUT we spent all our afternoons/evenings there......ab fab!! beautiful surroundings/friendly people couldn't wish for more..yes "Pandy" the waiter was "excellento" as for the "chef" top class along with the "barman"...superb!! supermarket on site, what more can you ask for.....though its a good walk into the main resort.....hard going when its very hot...which we found...but apart from that hey??!!...we go on holiday for the sun/scenery/enjoyment etc.,., thoroughly recommend Pefkos...as for Eleni am sure they are great apts as for the owners they are JUST BRILL!!can't wait to go back

Just got back from Yiannis Hotel this week had the best time really good family run hotel, staff were brilliant esp colin and geroge (special price for you). The hotel was always clean, rooms were cleaned regulary. We stayed bed and breakfast but wouldnt again due to the fact we didnt get a fridge in our room which is essential after a night out haha!! You get a free safety box which is located at reception where is is manned 24 hours a day. They have on a weekly basis Quiz nights, karaoke and greek nights which were all fun.
There is quite a steep hill to walk up but you kind of get used to it. There is a pub called Hideaway which is on the way down hill from the hotel Spiros and his wife Eleanor who run it are really nice people really friendly and welcoming you will have to try it out.
I would highly recommend that you go to Aqualand but its cheaper to book it by yourself than go with the rep! they were charing 38 euros we went down the road and booked it for 26.50 they pick you up at the bottom of the hill at 10am and collect you at 5pm.
Only a 5 min walk to main strip we spent a lot of time down at Tiffany's Bar which is english run, staff are brilliant really cheap food which was amazing!! You have to try the homemade fish and chips!! and the fry ups really really nice.
We found a good little club called MONTE CARLO (not monte christo) you pay 7 euros to get in and you get 3 cocktails or beers or whatever you want the cocktails are really really strong, Dj was spot on played a lot of R n B, Hip Hop and dance.
The only thing i hated about Ipsos was all the Italians and serbians! some were really nice but a lot of them were really arrogant and you literally have to barge past them if you want by!
We had some really nice meals on a night there was aplace at the very bottom called Cafe Peperone where you can sit by the beach and they do the best swordfish. Theres also a place called Stathis which seemed to be a very popular restaurant and the food was really fresh and nice.
Would defo go back here sometime.

Me and my boyfriend (age 19 and 20) have just come back from the Yannis hotel. We were a bit warey as didnt know a lot about the hotel but was pleasently surprised! we went b and b but because we were that board we had no fridge in our room which was a bit of a pain! but was easily overcome! Rooms were basic but who spends all their time in their room anyway!!
Staff all spoke really good english and were the nicest staff i have met whilst being on holiday! Reception was manned 24 hours and you get a free safe which is by reception.
you have to pay for air con..only 4 euros a day but was definatly needed!! was 42 degrees at one point! the scenery around the hotel was gorgeous!! it is situated up a mountain side so was absolutley stunning scenes. everyone in the hotel knew eachother so everyone was speaking to everyone...you felt at home straight away.
the hotel is on a very steep hill which was rather annoying and you dont get used to it despite what people say..its a right old pain!!
the strip which is 5 mins from the hotel was a bit disappointing. a lot was closed and the rest was all bars and fast food joints which stunk...it was best to stay at the hotel as entertainment was good...and it was cheaper to eat and drink there!
The beach was shingle so didnt actually spend anytime on there...but there was watersport to do. we also went to aqualand which was really good, though dont book through rep...they charge 39 euros but its only 25 down the road!!!
overall, was a wicked holiday and would recommend!!!
