After a long struggle to find the contact details (thanks to all who helped) I have Managed to get another Holiday at the la Mirage What a difference the whole place has been refurbished. It now has air con & a much needed fridge.
Costa & His wife Eve made the holiday complete they could not do enough for our party .On a whole Benitses Was quiet same as the rest of the island. We found cheap car hire with Alpha car hire Spero's did all he could with directions and the safest & easiest routes. A must have night out is to the glupos all you can eat & drink with great Greek entertainment. Taxi from Benitses to the Glupos 20euros each way. spero from alpha cars can also give you the number for this Great night out.
Food from all the tavernas on the main road was of a very high standard you should try every one from one end to the other. The bars are pretty cheap ,the cheapest being the Happy Dog (or tent bar). Then Laceys all of the others have pretty much the same price. I will return to this wonderful place again & again you will never tire of the people the places to travel to & the places to eat & drink.

Just up a small alley away from the hustle & bustle sits the hotel lamirage. The hotel was basic but very clean, the owner Costa, his wife & son made the holiday one to remember.
Costa could not do enough for you if you did not like or fancy anything he had on the menu he would prepare a dish that you did like the hotel staff made you feel that this was a home from home. It was as I said basic clean & friendly. I will return when I can find the tour operator who now runs it.

Booked independantly through local ex-pat. Basic but very clean hotel, Costa and his Son Laurence, could not have been more friendly and helpful.
My friends and I were the only English residents in the hotel and had the pool to ourselves early July - Laurence became our personal waiter and would mix us up any drinks we fancied.
It was one of our friends birthdays whilst we stayed there and he helped plan a surprise champagne breakfast.
Good location, very clean pool and rooms. We didn't leave until very late on the Friday night and we kept the rooms on until early evening for 10 euros extra which was given to the maids, as they came back in to clean our rooms after we left.
We are hoping to return in September this year - can't wait - Laurence are you ready for us!
