We recently arrived back from 2 weeks in the Argo studios and we are confused regarding quality of the accommodation offerred.The standard of the studio we had was in a word poor. The furnishings were dated and bed clothes worn out.The fridge was dated and very rusty. The Bathroom lay out shambolic with the toilet and the washhand basin fighting for the same location.We were informed on arrival all Cosmos /Monarch guests had to pay 7 euros a night extra for the air.con and even at temperatures in the nineties we refused to pay in principal.No Holiday rep was available to discuss the situation.
On the plus side the location was good and the pool /Restuarant was very inviting especially on Hot days.
Spiros the owner seemed quite a pleasant chap with plentiy of chat to his guests however after the heated discussion with his wife on the first day we did not feel we could use these facilties offerred.Also the top floor accommodation which had been upgraded was in much better condition.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted with great welcome and an ice cold Alpha beer, which was much appreciated. wonderful backdrop to the studios with luscious green mountains and insight into the nearby village. great hospitality and superb food, using fresh local produce, at excellent prices. menu caters for everyones needs. very clean pool and accomodation, room had excellent views and facilities such as airconditioning which helped with the august heat. very short distance from the beach and local town. Spiros and Anne make every effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay. we had a brilliant time in the company of truly lovely people.

Many thanks to Spiros, Anne and family for a wonderful time. Lovely, quiet location and resort. Beautiful,spotlessly clean studio and pool. Lovely food and surroundings. Spiros, you're a star, you made our holiday by being yourself, helpful, entertaining and great to talk to. We'll be back someday, hopefully, sooner rather than later. We would highly recommend Argo for a totally relaxing holiday

Went to Benitses after we were told by travel agent plenty of bars got there and found 5.Plenty of eating places but no night life it was the most boring holiday i have ever had the longest week of my life so only go there if you are over 90 and looking for a cure for insomnia and it is expensive

I'll admit I'm bemused by some of the gradings for these apartments. The welcome is good and the pool is fine but at the end of the day the accomodation has an eighties feel about it and is pretty basic. In our studio when you sat on the loo your head was directly over the wash basin. Food was of a reasonable standard though I would recommend people looked further afield to places such as Paxinos, which was outstanding.

We stayed at the Argo Studios this July and had a really great time, mostly thanks to the wonderful host Spiros and his wife Anne, Spiros was really great on 2 days he took our 2 sons out with him shopping and gave them a behind the scenes tour of corfu, which they really enjoyed. He was always there to help and kept us laughing with his funny stories and his recolections of his experiences. We had all our breakfasts and evening meals at the Argo, the only way to describe the meals is that Annes cooking is fantastic!!!! everything is freshly prepared and cooked and tasted really delicious, especially the lamb & sardines. Spiros was a real gentleman and made my 3 year old daughter feel really at home, he even went out of his way to bring her various diffent foods as she is a really fussy eater. The accomodation at Argo is first class and we stayed in Studio 13 which had a 3 bed room plus a double room plus a kitchen / dining area, both bedrooms had air conditioning and was decorated to a high standard, the kitchen had a cooker, fridge and sink unit but we hardly used it due to eating in the resteraunt area.
The beach was nice and clean and the loungers and umbellas on the beach were very reasonable, the couple controlling them were lovely. Most afternoons were spent at the argo pool which is really clean and well kept and ideal for children. All in all we had a very enjoyable time and thank Anne and Spiros for making us feel so at home.

What a beautiful place to stay, Anne and Spiros are the perfect hosts and all the accommodation and pool are spotlessly clean. They trade independently now having been previously with Olympic holidays so all bookings can be made direct with them on their website http://www.argobenitses.gr/book.php

They have a huge gallery of pictures on their site http://www.argobenitses.gr/gallery.php and believe me it is as beautiful in real life as it looks in the pictures.
Benitses is a real flavour of Greece, not overly touristy as a lot of resorts can feel.
The food served by Anne and Spiros is of the highest standard and all dietary requirements are catered for. They go out of their way to make sure everyone has the best holiday possible. They have great local knowledge and can give some great tips on where to go both during the day and at night.
We will definitely book again for next year as the kids loved it.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks here our first time but no way our last, it was a very peaceful and enjoyable stay to recharge our worn out batteries. Anne and Spiros cannot do enough for you during your stay, rooms are well equipped, basic but typical to the Greek way of life and cleaned daily. Anne is a fantastic cook, Spiros also cooks some of the dishes, the menu has a great selection for those who wish to try Greek dishes or stay simply English. The pool bar was never too busy to get a table and everyone got to know each other and enjoy the evenings of great food and hospitality. Spiros is off every day early to the markets and stores for fresh ingredients and supplies for the resort and they both work late into the next day entertaining their guests. Typical to September we had rain a few times and storms towards the end of our holiday but temperature not too cold, the scenery and walks are fantastic around the village up into the mountains, there are regular buses into Corfu town and the villagers acknowledge you whilst you out and about.

Just completed a 2 week family holiday here and couldn't of wished to find a nicer place to stay.
This family run complex ensures your holiday is easy going and care free. The local knowledge they can share with you is better than what the rep can provide and nothing is too much trouble. You can even pay a small fee to have your washing done for you whilst you are there.
The whole place is kept very clean and the food served in the poolside bar area is excellent. Our room was lovely, with a large balcony over looking the pool area with views to the Sea. Plenty of hot water and the cooking facilities were good.
The location is a perfect base to enjoy your holiday from. Just a short stroll to the beach, super market, bus stop and bakery. If you hire a car during your stay, parking is free of charge in the Village.
Their name is changing to 'ARGO' and they may no longer be under Olympic Holidays, but they are available for next year so contact them direct for more information.
