Don't be put off by previous ratings, this was my second time at these apartments, couldn't be bettered for location, Anne and Spiros remember you and welcome you with open arms, great location, great room and great hospitality, what more do you want? I will be back again next year, lovely people to stay with, lovely pool and Benitses is wonderful if you want a laid back holiday, met a few people who were there last year too, book with confidence.

We had two great weeks with anne, spiros and family 09/06/08-23/06/08 . The rooms are basic but very clean and you even get a free fan although air conditioning is available. The safe desposit boxes are very cheap, the bar is small and friendly. Bar prices are also cheaper than the village and the food is top class.
Anne and spiros can tell you all you need to know from bus times to places to visit nothing is a problem to them.
Benitses is a small resort which is quite quiete but is only a short bus ride away from corfu town 20-30 mins or a short drive away from messonghi which has a few more shops.
But most of all it was the hospitality of anne and spiros that will ensure we will go back.

What a great place to stay, Anne and Spiros can not do enough for their customers. They make everyone feel really special and by the end of 2 weeks they are more like friends than owners. The place is absolutely spotless including the pool, the food is fantastic (wish I could cook like Anne). Anne and Spiros work really hard and very long hours to make everyones holiday the best possible. We have always said that we would never go to the same place twice as we like to see lots of places but we are already looking forward to going back to the Roula Apartments in the not too distant future.

Well me and my daughter have stayed in the Roula 3times and maybe a 4th this year.
We found the rooms were really good, quite baisic but not too baisic.. However they were very clean (cleaned every day) and there was quite a lot of space.
Also the roula is situated perfectly, and not too far away from the main Bar (Shamrock) and all of the restrants and of course the beach. they are all about a 2 minuite walk.
Also Ann && Spiros were very helpfull and also very friendly. Always greeting you.
I would recomend the Roula to any of my friends who would wish to stay in benitses.
Also i would like to add Benitses is a very nice resort i have been there now 7 times 8this year. All of the people are very friendly. And the resort is nice too. It is very family orientated.
I hope i have helped.

The previous comments are not true at all. We stayed in the roula the last 2 weeks of October and it was always open from 08.00 to 24.00 and Anne and Spiros couldn't have been more helpful and cheerful at the end of a long summer. These people should obviously go back to the Karina which is way out of the village, where they feel they would be much better catered for. As for prices, we found the roula cheaper than most of the bars in the village and enjoyed many evenings eating and drinking in the pool bar. Thanks Anne and Spiros we'll definitely be back

Me, my wife and some friends booked what we thought would be a great holiday, going in October. A lot of shops were closing down the Roula pool bar closed every day so when we wanted to get our money from the safety deposit we couldn't.
Anne and Spiros wasn't helpful like many other guests say, all he seamed to do was moan most mornings, we were woke by idiotic locals shouting and arguing with each other. The pool bar prices were very dear so we all preferred to eat out every day. We got better service from the Big Bite they were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you, they were going to shut the week we came to stay but decided to stay open for us.
We have bean to Benitses before and know what its got to offer its a very beautiful place. Lacys bar is the place to go Richard and Laura are great and will do anything for you, sadly this was the last year for them and have now gone home to England but who knows maybe next year they might come back.
The best way to get around the island is to hire some transport eg moped, quad or car. The best town for bargains and shopping is Maratika, its a ten min drive from Benitses. The bars and tavernas are great and very well priced its best to go to Benitses from May to August as everything will be open. But I don't recommend staying at the Roula, when we wanted a shower every morning it was freezing and flooded the apartment and don't ask the Olympic rep for any help what a useless c***t he was, couldn't tell you anything he didn't tell us about any trips or what was going on, he couldn't even tell us what time the bus was coming to take us to the airport.
We would go back to Corfu again but definitely not the Roula, the best place to stay is the Karina I would recommend as we stayed there last year it put the Roula to shame.

Went with my friend to chill out and although the accommodation was basic it was clean.
Anne and Spiros were brilliant hosts with nothing being too much trouble, even when I ended up in hospital they looked after my friend, dealing with phone calls etc and helping her organise taxis.
We can’t recommend other places to eat in Benitses because we tended to eat at the apartment bar where the food was well priced and very tasty! Anne a great cook!
The only bit of the holiday we didn't enjoy was the bus ride back from Corfu Town it felt a bit like how many people can you squeeze on a bus a most uncomfortable trip and not one we wanted to repeat.
We hope to return again not sure when but we have recommended the apartments to our friends. A brilliant holiday!
Thanks from Dawn and Bev to the whole family for giving us such a good time.

We've just come back from a week at Roula Studios. Other than a couple of hours sitting round the pool, which we found totally boring and not really our thing. We spent most of the time sitting on the beach enjoying the excellent weather and swimming in a calm sea.
Although our room was ok, we wondered where the extra bed was supposed to have been put, considering we had been charged for underoccupany for 2/3 bed. The view from our room was interesting, rooftops and the mountains, but what wasn't very pleasant was the fumes coming up from the chimney flue below us every few minutes. They could even be smelt in the room. Also, the toilets were below and because the doors were left open, sometimes you would get a waft from them too. So, if you don't want this, make sure you don't have room 12.
We also didn't get much sleep. Other guests made a lot of noise at night time, which we wouldn't have been too bothered about if we felt we could have a lie in, but approximately 7.15 every morning, the people above us would get up. We presumed this was the owners apartment, but couldn't say for sure. One night there was a lot of noise around the pool area until nearly 2 a.m. and the next night there was a bit of a get-together in one of the rooms with music, which was still going on at 5 a.m. Although we complained to Anna in the morning, she didn't want to know.
Although we enjoyed our week, the lack of sleep did put a damper on it and we were glad to go home. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you.

Have just returned from an excellent week’s holiday. Anne and Spiros are very friendly and helpful.
The apartments were basic but clean and had all that you needed bearing in mind that you were only really sleeping and bathing in them.
The gardens and pool area are well looked after and are pleasant to sit in, there are plenty of chairs and sunbeds available.
Weather was a real bonus, had a very lovely relaxing week. Meals and drinks at the Roula studios available all day and evening and are also very tasty.
If you go to the other end of the seafront the aptly named Big Bite gives you excellent food at very reasonable prices and also with friendly service.
Would definitely stay here in the future, as it’s very central and close to the sea, supermarkets, shops, local transport and places to eat.

Having just this morning returned from two wonderful weeks at the Roula we can only echo what the other reviews have said(Except for one..What do you expect in October?).
The only blot on the landscape was when the Olympic bus to take us to the airport was one hour LATE and the rep could offer no excuse! This of course is no fault of Spiros and Anne who I’m sure, if they knew would be more than disappointed after working their socks off, along with the rest of the family, to ensure we had the best holiday they could possibly provide.
You can be sure we will be back and have no hesitation in recommending The Roula to anyone wanting a real taste of Corfu.
Stayed 7-22 Sep 2007.

Fantastic holiday for the money couldn't have asked for better service from Anne and family.
Benitses is a lovely place with lovely people who made our holiday. Rooms are simple and clean - pool is lovely and rarely over crowded, food is fantastic good selection of greek and more traditional english dishes for the less adventurous.
Our advice is to learn a few words of Greek - to be able to say please and thank you - chat to the locals and get all the information on where is best to go and when.
