We went to this resort last September and it was brilliant. Our room was lovely and clean with towels changed daily and bed made daily. Before going to the resort, we were a bit worried about reviews of food however, we had no problems. We are both very fussy with food but... more

A gem of a holiday
On our first visit to Egypt we were extremely impressed by the area and the hotel, The Three Corners hotel is 5 star rated although Thomson tour operator awards it 4T's, it is located approximately 25-30 minutes walk from Naama Bay. First impressions on arrival were very good, beautiful layout and impressive reception area. The hotel has rooms in the main building which are beautifully appointed, ours was a twin room with 2 queen size beds plenty of wardrobe and drawer space a TV fridge safe coffee table and chairs furnished balcony etc. The bathroom has an over bath shower, hairdryer and has a basket of complimentary toiletries. Rooms in the grounds called The Select Club are suites and were also very highly regarded by people we spoke to. The restaurants were excellent and the food whether buffet style or freshly prepared was always beautifully presented. The chefs cater for all tastes and I think you would have to be extremely fussy not to find something to your liking. We certainly had NO complaints. The waiters were attentive without being intrusive and replenished your glasses with their ever present smile. Seating was available outdoors in the main buffet restaurant "Pharon and Sultan" which was wonderful... breakfast al fresco in November.... amazing! The bars were well run and the staff again were very friendly and not without a sense of humour, which they definitely needed in dealing with some of the guests. Contrary to the reviews I had read before my holiday I did not find the alcohol "watery or unpleasant". The health suite at the hotel is excellent and the massage was just what the doctor ordered to help relax and get in holiday mode. There are 3 pools at the hotel, 1 large unheated, 1 heated outdoors, also a childrens pool. The sunbeds were plentiful and had good mattresses which made them very comfortable. The pool boys will ensure that beds are not left for long periods of time without being used too which means no bagging and then disappearing off to the beach for the day. Which brings me to Kiroseiz private beach, excellent... restaurant, bar, beach bungalows to rent, bathing platform, what a fantastic way to spend the day. The hotel shuttle bus will take you there and bring you back this is a free service. A few notes for information now, you have to haggle for everything from taxis to souvenirs, get in the spirit and don't be afraid to say No. When taking currency be aware that in the hotels extras are charged to your room and bills have to be paid in foreign currency ie: Not Egyptian, so make sure you take enough GB Euro US dollars as you cannot change Egyptian back before you leave. Telephone calls are very expensive, £1.60 per minute and only from the hotels, there are no public phones. Excursions to Cairo, Luxor and Petra from Sharm are expensive approx £150- 170 to visit the pyramids so allow for this when calculating spending money. Other trips include Bedouin nights, cruises, monasteries, horse riding, quad biking AND swimming with Dolphins. This last trip is extremely popular at only £50 but as they only have 3 dolphins you may not get the chance if you are only going for 1 week, as with us. 1 trip not to miss is the cruise which you can do any day of the week and you must try snorkelling if you have never done it before, it is truly amazing! Overall I would definitely recommend Sharm el Sheik for those looking for a value for money break in a beautiful location and in particular the Three Corners Kiroseiz.
Great break from below 0 London!
I have read quite a few reviews, including one from a family who stayed the same time we did - 10 to 17 Nov. Many are quite unfair. The food was great, diverse and interesting; the drinks were excellent (spirits, beer and wine - not just local stuff); the staff were friendly and helpful; and, the scenery (mountains) was gorgeous. The rooms are basic, but hey, who wants to be stuck in there with Sharm's gorgeous weather? Yeah, it isn't 5* by western standards but then as we are not paying anything near 5* prices, I don't see what all the fuss is about. Of course the beach will disappoint young families. It's charm is the wonderful reef just metres from the shore. This is spectacular reef. As an Aussie I am spoilt with the reef we have, and the snorkeling off the sharm coast beats some diving locations at home. Also the restaurant and bar at the beach offers a change from the resort - the shuttle service is very convenient and nearly always ran on time! Everyone should treat themselves to a dive. Lots to see and probably the safest location I have ever dived at (expect the wharf where it is mahem - but fun to watch all the same). Egyptians are very friendly and as long as you have common sense you wont have to worry about being harassed. Also, please think about their religion. If you don't want them to stare, perhaps cover up a little (especially where food is served as it is deelpy offensive in their culture to dine in skimpy gear). They adore the young kids, especially fair ones - they aren't giving them attention for sinister reasons. One family took a photograph of me with their cute little boy because of my blonde hair. Embrace the culture and you will be treated with respect. Some may push the boundaries but they will not go too far. After a wonderful week (inc a trip to Cairo - gotta do it) I returned to London which was a chilly -4 degrees!!! I'll be back for more diving (Thistlegorm shipwreck and Tiran Island) and a visit to Luxor.
Nice Hotel but........
We stayed at the Kiroseiz for 1 week from the 10th-17th of November. I stayed there based on the reviews here which were mixed but as nothing horrendous was written we took our chances. It was the only Hotel which catered for our family of 4. We arrived and were greeted well, given a list of what was included in the all inclusive package straight away. We were made our way to our room and I was not happy as we didn't get the pool view we asked for but when we woke in the morning we had a fabulous view of the mountains and it was a very quiet area so we didn't mind. In the evenings we had a wonderful view of the sunset. Food was fine. Lots to choose from but every lunchtime became a bit boring as it was the same every day, chips, rice, spaghetti, macoroni cheese with very little variation every day. They had a kids corner but that was spaghetti bolognese and chips every day too. The desserts were fab and in the evenings there were some great displays like a huge chocolate house and a mountain of profiteroles. I must say that we ate lots of different types of foods including salad, noodles and foods cooked at the "live cooking station", my husband ate octopus in some salad too and my children aged 7 and 2 ate mainly bread as they are fussy eaters but we didn't suffer from the dreaded sickness and diorrhea as we thought we might and with the exception of one lady we talked to, there were no other reports of illness. Hotels rooms are basic. The family room is the best "type" of room we have stayed in as the Parents room is divided from the kids beds so you have some privacy!! We had a table and chairs, a coffee table and chairs, a sink in the room and ok beds, horrific pillows though! Very uncomfortable. The room was not sparkling clean but prehaps I'm too fussy. Towels were put clean everyday but they are not very white and a bit on the small side. Bathroom was small but functional. Shower curtain was gross, needed to be replaced, Not very good ventilation in there either. The Hotel itself was nice. Not 5 star! Maybe a 4. They were doing a lot of maintenence while we were there, repainting the childrens playframe and the walkway to the Chez Pascal restaurant, planting flowers etc. There are two shops and a bank just off the lobby. Computers for internet use and Chris the guest relations lady is a great help. Staff were friendly but were a bit of a pain as they made a B-line for my 2 year old daughter. She was a huge attraction. They were forever teasing her by taking her doll or kissing her hand and touching her hair. They all knew her name by day 3 and were calling her all the time. We smiled a lot but very firmly said goodbye and picked her up and whisked her away quite a number of times. So for anyone with young girls, be prepared for a lot of attention even in the town too. Keep them close to you as some locals think it's funny to hold their hand and pretend to walk away with them saying they have a son they can marry! Very scary at times. One of the three pools was heated. The other two, the main pool and the childrens pool were freezing cold! They were all clean and good sizes. Beware the red tiles though, they can be slippery and as children have a tendancy to run around poolsides, they were lethal. The towles they provide you with are clean but old and tatty. They are not as you would expect from a supposed 5* Hotel. It may suit you to take your own. Lastly the beaches. St Georges was horrible!! I know the sand is coarse due to the coral but this beach was awful, sharp bits stick in your feet so not fun for you or kids and it was dirty. Rubbish everywhere. We tried to play volleyball but there was dog mess in the sand. We only stayed there an hour! Flies are a problem by the pool but on the beaches they are bigger and noisier and a lot more of them which made the whole hour we spent there even more miserable. Our holiday was ok. Weather was great, not too hot and a lovely breeze kept the flies down in numbers. Lots of people we spoke to said they would come back again. I personally wouldn't. Egypt itself is not a very clean place and I don't think it's a place to take children.
not five star
The rooms were VERY VERY basic and the hotel not totaly all inclusive, Def not 5 star. I would rate it 3.5 stars and a good holiday.
Guaranteed sunshine, good chance of stomach bug.
My wife and I have just returned from the above resort. We booked 4 nights all inclusive. The resort itself was very nice indeed, 5 start claimed but the accommodation was certainly more like 3 star. The pool areas were great, plenty of sunbeds available at all times. Wall to wall sunshine, particularly suitable at this time of year if you have children, 28-30 Degrees C during the day and around 22C in the eveining. We both talked of bringing our two grandchildren on a future holiday. This all changed the day before we departed. We both awoke with stomach cramps and quickly developed the runs. We were told on arrival that we would get a stomach upset. To be fair I have never experienced anything like it in my life. I have been home almost 10 days now and am still suffering despite taking various remedies. A visit to my Doctor is on the cards tomorrow. The people are lovely, the resort very nice but the food and general hygiene standards must be brought into question. We are both fastidious about hygiene, drinking bottled water, brushing teeth with bottled water, not eating salads etc etc all to no avail. I will definitely not be visiting this hotel or area again and especially not with children. It is worth noting that we became friendly with a number of couples whilst on holiday and they all suffered similar to us. Some had several days holiday left, poor souls. Give this hotel a miss, especially with children
Wonderful
We stayed at the Three Corners Kiroseiz October 2005. What a wonderful place. The hotel offers everything for people of all ages. Our rooms was immaculately clean and had the view of the swimming pool and distant mountains. The were three swimming pools, all of great size and plenty of sun loungers. When we stayed the hotel was fully booked but in no way crowded and still felt extremely relaxing. THe food was great. They catered for all nationalities. Breakfast included: cold meat and cheese, cereal, toast, omlettes, french patisseries, english breakfast and pancakes. Lunch and evening meals included: choice of soups, variety of breads, salads, hot food, live cooking and the best selection of cakes I have ever seen. The staff cannot do enough for us. They were constantly refilling our drinks. The Trixie Club is very well run and our son was thoroughly entertained, especially at Mini Disco. The entertainment team work very hard providing great amusement. The two beaches are great. The St George beach has calm waters for the less confident swimmer and the Kiroseiz beach is great for snorkeling. Naama Bay is positively safe. Great for restaurants and bars. HAs plenty of shops although most sell the same goods. we recommened taking a taxi ride, as it is highly entertaining how bad they are at driving and only cost 2 sterling pounds. We highly recommened the boat tripto Ras Muhammed if you are intersted in snorkeling. We paid fifty pounds each to swim with dolphins for thirty minutes. Although it was great to get so close to the dolphins we felt robbed. For the first 10 minutes we had to stroke them so photos could be taken. For the rest for the time we got pulled from one end of the pool to the other. They were charging 7 sterling pounds a photo and 25 stering pounds for a dvd that videod everybody in the pool and not the dolphins. We appeared in the dvd for a total of six minutes.
GREAT HOTEL
Stayed for 1 week and had a great time hotel great staff superb food always varied and well presented entertainment although not varied a great deal what they did was good although i recommend not going to the oriental night as this was awful. The only thing i would criticise was you have to tip as long as you did this you got looked after by the waiters and bar staff i would go again
Deserves a good review!!
Before going to the Kiroseiz Three Corners resort I had visited this site to see what others had thought about the hotel and I have to say, it made me a little nervous. My boyfriend and I had booked a last minute deal over the internet so we hadn't really know what to expect without having travel brochures etc. When we were going around dropping other people off at other hotels after we had landed we saw all these other grand looking hotels with massive driveways and marble archways and we were expecting our hotel to be completely different, but when we arrived it was still amazing. A little less grand looking than some of the others but it still had a very impressive entrance area. From our first moments at the hotel it was obvious that it was spotlessly clean. The reception staff were really friendly and could not have been more helpful, and this was the same with all the hotel staff throughout our holiday. Our room was beautiful with a stunning view over-looking the pool and with mountains in the distance. Our cleaner was great and a couple of times we came back to the room and found our towels arranged into the shapes of swans, hearts, people and various other creatures! The hotel has 2 pools: 1 with entertainment and games for the more energetic holidaymaker and the other which is far more quiet and relaxed (which is where we spent most of our time whilst in the resort). It also has a private beach which you can get to by a free shuttle bus which goes every half hour or so from the hotel. The beach is lovely and has a pontoon that you can snorkel off. There is also an AI restaurant there and a bar. Food generally was very good. It is buffet style but it is certainly better than average. There is an Al a Carte restaurant 'Chez Pascal' at the resort that I would suggest going to. You have to pay a little money towards it but the food is well worth it!! Also on offer are lots of day trips as well as evening entertainment at the hotel and at the beach. I would recommend doing the trip to Cairo by air. It was an amazing day. We packed so much in and our tour guide was brilliant. All in all I was really impressed. Maybe if you're expecting a really posh 5* hotel you may be a bit disappointed but for the money we paid we were SO lucky and got a real bargain!
'Fantastic'
Oh my god, where do i begin!I have just arrived back in England from Three Corners Kiroseiz and i'm heading off to book up for Christmas as soon as possible. I'm racking my brains trying to think of a negative point...but i've given up! The whole holiday was 5*. Me and my friend went AI, we had no problems what so ever. The hotel was very very clean, the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for them, especially the yellow T-Shirt boys who work 12hour days 7days a week for £20 per week!!!!! we could not fault the service we recieved! The housekeeping guy must be a black belt in origami as we had all sorts of weird and wondeful shapes made out of our towels, tissues, dressing gowns, etc anything we left on the bed was transformed into swans, elephants, flowers, hearts! The food was faultless, something for everyone. I recommend eating in the Chez Pascal restaurant at least once during your stay, its not AI but well worth the money...best Steak we had ever had! The Animation team make sure you work off all the food you consume with 2 daily sessions of Water Polo organised by the famous Claudio...Then the morning session of 'Stretching' following by aqua arobics in the main pool. They have table tennis competitions and killer darts! The team are very friendly and will definately make your stay enjoyable. Going into Na'ama Bay was definately a highlight and i recommend taking a Taxi from outside the hotel front doors as they will collect you aswell from a specific point, £4 return no hastle and very reliable. The three corners private beach is also a must adventure for your holiday...snorkeling off the jetty is fantastic. The fish are out of this world! I really do not know how anybody could slate this resort, i would recommend it to anyone, whether they be young, old, single, married, family, honeymooning, etc. Don't take my word for it...go and experience it yourself!
Not 5 star (3 star maybe)
Weather = fab 45 degrees not a cloud to be seen! Hotel = not 5 * 3 * at a push! This was the first AI holiday my husband and I have been on and it was ok. Food was pretty basic but what can you expect when you go to Eygpt. Note: Only one AI restaurant, you need to pay for the other one. AI drinks should be a self-service system which includes COLD water! Entertainment was pretty dia but the kids seemed to enjoy the mini disco at 9pm for 1/2hr Note: you have to pay for drinks in the disco. Hotel/roomy bedroom was clean. All staff worked very hard although there seemed to be too many chiefs and not enough indians! Sea was beautiful with lots of amazing fish, beach ok but you have to walk along a jetty to get to the fish! Naama bay was an experience and the traders got on our nerves a bit! Husband chose Camal Bar for dives and had a great time on the quad bikes. Would definately go back to Sharm but not this hotel.
