Oasis Park Salou Reviews
" Stayed for one week at Oasis Park... "
Submitted By: Mrs K DonnoHave to agree pool's could be better but didn’t go on holidays to sit beside a hotel pool so served its cause when needed. Food was great I thought great choice but repetitive every day but still enough tasty food to fill you for the day what more do you want for the price you pay. Location was great for shops beaches busses and most things you want.
I live in Ireland and got quoted the same for a weekend with breakfast and one evening meal for the five of us. Weather unpredictable and being ripped off in the shops for rubbish. No activities for children, worth talking about and come home not knowing you have been away. Now you know why I wouldn’t complain about a hotel with what I class nice food, great weather and fantastic entertainment for everyone, not to mention the beautiful beaches.

Submitted By: Mr SM FlintFirst day nice went to the beach 20 mins, very nice good for the kids (if you have any) shallow waters. First night was very noisy, they had what sounded like one million Spanish OAP's in for they annual Hol's, what a night, they certainly know how to party!!! NO SLEEP. Ok well you can't win them all, so the next day went to Tarragona, not bad bus service very good, drivers very helpful (extra helpful if you are a woman!!) came home to a nice evening meal, the only thing is that they do not mark up what you are eating! That evening there was what sounded like thousands of 15 to 17 year old Spanish youths!!!
What a night that was screaming out on the balconies charting etc, etc to late in the night and morning. This again happened the following evening and kick off about 21:40 I went on the phone to reception to complain they took their time but it abated but started again at 05:00Hrs the next morning, this spoilt our holiday as we were very tired the next day, these people have no consideration for others, if they were in this country they would be in handcuffs by now!!!!
Nice Hotel but very, very noisy can you imagine the noise in the summer season?????

Submitted By: Ms M BartonRe Oasis park. Brilliant hotel. Spotless rooms. Helpful staff. food not great but people need to remember that we are in Spain and we cant expect an Ulster fry the way its made at home. We always got enough to eat anyway. Got sick of listening to the British complaining about the food. Anyway got an offer to go to a 4 star hotel this year but my daughter wants to go back to Oasis Park and we're going! So should you!!

Submitted By: Mr P MasonEntertainment needs looking at bingo in 6 languages or flamenco dancing didn't do much for us but pubs like the cavern for football & karaoke was only a 5 minute walk.
Can't understand some of the other reviews and can only presume that people giving 1/10 must normally stay in the Ritz.
If you plan it right and book flights with the likes of Ryanair you can get a very good value holiday.

Submitted By: Miss C WhiteheadOasis Park Hotel was lovely, and ideally located near to shops, bars and two lovely beaches.
The food was good, especially the breakfasts where there was so much choice that even the fussiest eater should have been satisfied! Although we went out most days and missed lunch, you were able to get snacks like burgers and chips all day by the pool, so we were never hungry.
The hotel was very busy, so the pool was often crowded, but there is so much to do in Salou that it seemed a waste of time to stay by the pool all day.
The aquapolis waterpark was fantastic...well worth 19 euros, and was far better than the one next to Port Aventura. (You can get the bus to both right outside the hotel!)
We also wanted to see the NouCamp in Barcelona, and booked a coach trip for 25 euros each that took you to the stadium for a tour of the dressing rooms etc. The coach then took you to the city of Barcelona for two free hours where you could shop etc...and then to the Magic Fountain which was superb. (Neither me or my boyfriend had heard of it but it was brilliant.) Anyway...there were leaflets advertising this coach trip everywhere, and I would highly recommend it because with your tickets, you got 13 euros off the admission price to Port Aventura!
For nightlife...there is something for everyone but the cavern is good if you like your football (big screens showing all the good games) and you have got to see Tubby Brown in Sinatras. Snoepys nightclub was good, but families with children may prefer the bars near to the hotel.
This was a fantastic holiday...the waiters and bar staff in the hotel were a bit temperamental at times but I could only sympathise with them because they worked some very long shifts!
We went as a group of 6 (3 couples) and we had a ball. If you decide to choose Oasis Park...you should have a great holiday. (Just watch out for the elevators/lifts, because the doors have a mind of their own).

The restaurant staff were very efficient and although the hotel was very busy they did a very good job of clearing tables etc. We didn’t have to wait for anything, the food was very good and there was different things everyday, the breakfast was excellent as well.

The only let down was the swimming pool it wasn’t quite big enough for the number of guests, and there wasn’t enough sunbeds-but saying that it was the height of the season and the hotel was full-but we spent the most of our week at the beach which was lovely. We would definitely go back to this hotel in the future.
They responded very quickly to any problems we might have had, and we found the hotel to be very clean and the staff friendly and polite. So much so we are hoping to return there in august this year! The evening entertainment was suited to all ages and was truly fun I even won mar oasis June 2005.

During the day the pools lifeguard acted professionally all day and the kids club kept the kids entertained mid afternoon. Its just a shame the bar and beer garden shuts at 2330 and 0000 respectively! But 9 out of 10 none the less.

Submitted By: Miss HigginsThe hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and the food was lovely.
The rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels provided. The only thing I would say is doesn’t look under the beds!
The food was lovely although I would agree that the bacon was a bit rubbery. The grill in the corner was a real treat and as for not getting enough, you could ask for as much as you wanted. I saw lots of people going for seconds which of course was fine but I found that I was totally satisfied after one plate.
The resort itself was beautiful, the beach was gorgeous and for only 3 euros, you could hire a sun bed for the whole day. I would suggest however that you don’t hire a pedal boat as you can only take it out just slightly further than I could stand. However, I do think that the few small complaints that I had did nothing to spoil how fantastic the holiday was!

Submitted By: A O'SullivanThe rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The only thing was it was a bit noisy in the mornings, if you are not an early bird i.e. 7 am, you can hear every one getting up.
The food was not bad at all, although I got turkey fillets off the barbeque and the two bits were raw. There was good choice every day.
The hotel was a 7 min walk to a gorgeous long and sandy beach. The first beach I have been to in years that did not have any stones in it! And the water was lovely and warm!
There were two Irish pubs around the corner from the hotel, and the rest of restaurants and pubs etc are within 1 min from the hotel.
Activities for the kids were brilliant. They had something going from 10.00 am until 10.00 pm, for the kids.
I would definitely go back and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Submitted By: Not SpecifiedThat aside I had a great time here. The evening meal was great and a good variety. Unfortunately I can't comment on breakfast because I only made it the last day because we were going home and I wasn’t going to be able to eat for a long while. The excuse for missing breakfast was a hang over each day from the night before.
The hotel is right by the bars and shops so its not to far to walk any where. The two beaches nearby are clean and nice to swim in to. The hotel was great and clean, in fact the cleaners cleaned around me.
I did cut my foot one day at the hotel pool on a broken glass. But the staff were quick to clean the glass up and to dress my foot properly. This didn’t spoil the holiday.
Submitted By: eddyquinnThe food was repetitive, terrible and often either burnt or dangerously not cooked. Breakfast was worse bacon was well not sure what it was. Pancakes and omelettes were served but again the chef needed lessons from Gordon Ramsey. Bleep Bleep Bleep what are you doing to that.
The lifts were amazingly dangerous. Five times my partner was squashed by them and they where 3-4 inches from level so be warned. Every one was afraid of them including our holiday rep that was useless.
Soundproofing was non existent. First night was a boxing frenzy with a Spanish couple next door. We were kept awake until about 5.30 from other hotels or people enjoying themselves. So sleep was impossible.
The room was not too big just okay. Decor was a picture above the bed. It looked like a hospital ward without the cleanliness. Towels were changed daily but the bed sheets etc in two weeks stay did not get changed. At the end of the holiday, it was like sleeping on a bed of sand. But beware of the ants also although we were on the fourth floor.
The staff, well one was friendly but another would put a gorgon to shame. There English was limited also.
Now what about the entertainment you may ask. They had a mini disco until 10pm. then from 10-11-11.30 was either : bingo (big deal) miss oasis (just games) mr oasis (same), different turn but 3 times cancelled in two weeks. One night was a transvestite night, which included a hotel entertainer doing drag, simulating sex, doing the full Monty, and jumping in the pool - great for the kids.
The pools were nice though, three in total although one was in shade so was like ice although everyone played ball so you could not swim. But not bad.
There was a small gym inside though although I never used it since I needed a rest and was obviously tired from lack of sleep night before.
Location was fairly close to beach and near shops and some pubs but like previously was a problem at night if you need more than four hours sleep or okay if you sleep like a log.
All in all beware and think twice before booking. It was a Best hotel where they have a chain and by what I heard from some, they are somewhat similar.
Hope you enjoy your stay better than we did.
" Good Hotel, clean spacious hotel.... "
Submitted By: Mr A StewartFood good but rather repetitive.
Room check out is 10am, late departure is 7pm..not very good if you have a 3am pick up

The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were left every day too. The meals were excellent, every morning you could choose from the usual selection of all inclusive breakfasts plus freshly made omelettes and pancakes made by the chef in front of you. At lunchtime and evenings we were delighted to have a lovely choice of food or again you could choose freshly made burgers, fish, chicken etc done on the bbq in front of you.
A thing that bothers me going all inclusive is the food staying warm, this hotel certainly doesn’t have this problem with trays being constantly changed with fresh food. Your drinks are served to you by the waiters, no queuing! The bar area is again big spacious and clean, with 3 pool tables. I really liked the fact that, if you had 4 all inclusive cards you could collect 4 drinks, none of this one drink per visit carry-on.
The pool area again is very good, spacious and clean. There are four pools, so will suit everyone including toddlers. The children’s entertainers do well during the day with pool activities. There is a small play park. The only one thing that disappointed me, after the mini-disco and games for the kids etc, there was only two shows, for adults, in the week that we stayed, may because it was early June! And yes as like all hotels, they do need to improve the sound proofing.
