Well I'm not long back from my holiday from Salou, I must admit I did have a great holiday but I think that it was the people I was with and definitely not the hotel. I went with my mum and my friend, me and my friend both aged 15.

The hotel was okay, nice size of rooms and lovely hotel but... The bar staff made you feel very unwanted and the only great staff there were at the reception who were very helpful. Bar staff couldn't be bothered with the English I dont think. Apart from that the breakfast was okay nothing special, lunch and dinner were very poor I must say. Snacks from the bar were okay not much there though.

We were all inclusive but we ate out for breakfast and even dinner most nights. Entertainment wasn't up to much either so we also went out to clubs as most of the entertainment was the kids disco. So this has put us off being all inclusive from now on. Also at night there is no chance for an early night, we heard people coming in at all times and the busy streets. The hotel was full of Spanish people.

I don't think I would recommend this hotel to anyone. They just need to fix the food and entertainment and the bar staff and things would be a lot better!

I am a 16 year old girl who has just come home from this hotel with my younger brother mum && dad! Over all we thought this hotel was fantastic the food couldn’t of been any better and the pools out side were ok!

Only problems were the amount of sun lounges there were, you had to run out side to put your towel down other wise you would have 2 lie on the floor!

Another problem was the maids with the cleaning, a couple of things tend to off went missing!

The position the hotel is set in is fantastic near all shops, pubs, clubs etc....only real problem was the noise from the other hotels near by and certain people in the hotel at the time off our stay!

We did complain many times but nothing seemed to be done about it!

Over all stay though was good and for a family hotel I would recommend this! Entertainment brilliant! Me and my family would consider going again!

Best Oasis Park was ok but for safety reasons, people with small children should think carefully because there is no way to lock the door. The door handle was at a level that allowed my 1 year old child to often open the door and run off.

The buffet meals were very repetitive, with cold and hot drinks in the morning including wine but not even a glass of water is offered with evening meals. Therefore, it becomes very expensive when travelling with children on a half-board basis. We had to buy water every evening.

Evening entertainment for children (children's disco) was very cheesy and 2 members of staff had to do everything themselves: operate the music and dance. They didn't even wear uniform so you couldn't identify who they were. I believe they should take a trip to one of the British caravan holidays, to see the difference.

For the money spent, they could have provided a better service.

A waste of money, even though we had half board, we ate out all the time. The food was usually half cold and tasteless.

We had to be moved from the room we were in the first night as it faced the street, and we had to listen to what seemed like football hooligans chanting on the streets until at least 6 in the morning.

The entertainment was dismal. There was glass in one of the pools and it took a day to get it cleared.

There was no sign up to say the pool was closed. The lifeguard didn’t have any English, and couldn't even understand my children asking for a plaster for a cut.

We were given 3 towels between 4 of us, and they were very mean with toilet paper. You couldn't swing a cat in the rooms, we were tripping over each other.

Has to be the worst place I have ever stayed!

The Oasis Park is situated on the main street in Salou. We (my wife, son, niece, and myself) were all inclusive in this hotel and had 2 rooms one with pool view, the other single room on the front side of the hotel.

On arrival at Reus Airport we decided to get a taxi to the hotel we informed the rep and they showed us were to get a taxi. The trip to the hotel took about 15mins and cost about 25 Euros. It got us to the hotel over an hour before anyone else thus a quicker check in. On arrival we went to reception and were given our rooms.

One of the rooms was on a separate floor which was not expected we asked for a change but there were no other rooms so we made do.

The lady on reception took our photo's and gave us our A/I cards which got you into your room and got you free drink (locally produced shorts and beer cocktails were not included and cost a supplement of two Euros)and three set meals a day. Snacks hot dogs, burgers, and chips were available between restaurant hours. This was all that was available all inclusive which does not seem a lot really.

There was a great spa in the hotel and for an excess of five Euros you could get a sauna steam room power shower and gym and Jacuzzi and you could return all day while it was open. The hotel has six floors and three swimming pools which are kept reasonably clean, although the patio around the pool could do with a good scrub.

There are a lot of different nationalities at the hotel which made it like the Pamplona Bull Run when the doors open to the pool at 9am.

The food in the restaurant was plentiful and not bad for choice of salads deserts and main meals and also a children’s section, although it did get quite repetitive by the end of the two weeks. They have a separate chef on at breakfast making omelettes and pancakes which are worth queuing for although sometimes there is a big q. He is also on at night cooking fresh burgers chips and chicken etc.

The entertainment is where this hotel fails miserably it starts at 9pm with a kiddie disco which kids seem to enjoy but when you are all inclusive their songs are the same every night there’s only so many times you can take the cheeky girls in one week.

The family entertainment started around 10pm and out of our fourteen nights we enjoyed four although if you enjoy one game of bingo which takes two hours to call and a crazy party night which is more 18-30s than family based which took up four night’s entertainment each week then you may enjoy it.

The entertainment during the day was also repetitive and never kept to the notice board.

Salou has always been a great place to visit but this hotel was not.

The hotel rooms are basic but kept clean and the most of the staff can be quite polite if you use their names. It is a noisy hotel after 12midnight being on the main street this is to be expected. I would not advise the extra cost for all inclusive as due to the entertainment we ate out most nights and found our own entertainment in abundance in the bars and restaurants in Salou.

This was me and my family’s 6th time in Salou so as you may gather we do enjoy returning to this resort. Salou has something for everyone, great beaches, and coves, plenty of shopping, great places to eat Indian, Chinese, American and the good old British chippy, lots of good bars for all ages and Port Aventura a great theme park one of the best in Europe and water parks. For the history lovers Tarragona is only 15mins away by train and Barcelona is an hour.

Great places to eat

Uncles Sams- Great American food steaks, burgers and ribs etc total gut buster.

Gabbers- Good portions of British food. Sunday lunch and chicken curry half &half recommended.

Chip Shop- does what it says on the tin.

Taj Mahal - great Indian food

Places to go

Port Aventura- fun for all the family owned by universal studios and set in five worlds and holding some great rides for thrill seekers and scary cats alike. Best thrill rides are Hurricane Condor, Furious Baco, Stampede, and not forgetting Dragon Khan other safer rides include Temple de Fuego, Sea Odyssey.

There are also shows such as Hawaiian, Bird, Chinese and Wild West shows the later being a must. Buy tickets for this at home as you can get two week tickets for the price of three days, this also includes tickets to Costa Caribe a waterpark adjoining the theme park.

Aquapolis- waterpark in la Pinada a five minute bus ride from Salou also has a dolphin and sea lion show.

Tarragona- 15mins on the train from Salou has a lot of amphitheatre’s museums etc.

Barcelona- 1hr on train from Salou although available through reps at hotel. Visit nou camp, zoo, la Ramblas and the cathedral to name but a few things to do in this great city.

We have just returned from Oasis Park Hotel for the second time and had a wonderful holiday.

Neither ourselves or the two families whom we made friends with could understand the bad reviews. I previously visited this hotel in October 2005 and had enjoyed it so much that I booked it again for this holiday. Oasis Park Hotel is excellent hotel for a family holiday.

Our room was a little cramped for four people but as we only want somewhere clean and tidy to sleep and shower this did not annoy us. The staff were very friendly, although I wouldn't blame them if they weren't as some peoples attitude towards them was far from cordial.

Food was excellent with a wide selection to suit all palates (Although if you are one of those that want roast beef and spuds, you shouldn't book all inclusive). Each night had a speciality, eg fish night, consisted of a full table in each restaurant laid with salmon and shellfish, this was served along with all of the other selection of foods available. Chef cooked on griddle each morning and evening, mornings- pancakes and omeletes, evenings - steak, chops, burgers, kebabs, etc.

You would have to be a very fussy eater not to find something on the menu that you would enjoy. Entertainment, cleanliness and all inclusive was very good. It's the only holiday I have ever been on that kids weren't asking what are we doing today. Mind you, the youngest was very happy with free ice lollies and ice creams. The spa at the hotel is also a must for €5 per day - guests can use this facility, excellent value for money and great for relaxing. Oldest who is 17 had a brilliant holiday. Between the night life and Port Aventura, Salou provides entertainment for all ages. Will definitely book this hotel again.

Stayed at this hotel for a week - and believe me that was enough.

First of all I couldn't believe how rude the reception staff where, unless you are Spanish then forget it - you may as well be invisible. I needed to ask them something and was waiting in a queue - up comes a Spanish person who just said something in Spanish - obviously! And was seen to right away.

Next problem - I took my 2 year old on holiday, and she still had milk to go to sleep so I asked the staff at the bar for some and they told me they would give it to me free for that once but then I had to pay? I thought a drop of milk would have been free for a toddler - I did complain and then was given free for the rest of my stay.

Now then - the lifts - what a joke, they either didn't work or were full of Spanish pensioners. One day I was waiting at the lift with my daughter in her buggy ~ (she has walking difficulties), and as soon as the door opened we were being pushed and trodden over so the Spanish pensioners could get in the lift first. So rude, I have never experienced anything like it in my life.

We gave up on the lifts in the end and I had to carry my daughter up and down every flight of steps, which was no joke I tell you!

The next gripe I have is the dining room/times - first of all you are told what time you can go for evening meals - yet strangely once again, all the Spanish pensioners were all ready sat eating their meals! - So we had to eat what was left and it was all the rubbish!

Breakfast times were a complete joke - 2 toasters to cater for over 400 people, I queued one day just to see how long it would take to get my turn, - 30 minutes, and even then you have Spanish people pushing in.

The entertainment was nonexistent apart from one night when they had Hawaiian dancers - well there were no seats to sit on as they were once again used my all the Spanish pensioners! So we got some plastic pool chairs and put them on the very edge of the floor - we were quickly grunted at to move. Where were we meant to go? Away from the hotel as far as possible!

I do not have a problem with the Spanish or pensioners - in general, but my holiday turned out to be a week in a Spanish nursing home! I wouldn't have minded if they smiled and were polite, but falling over my baby in her buggy to get in the lift after we had been waiting 10 mins is not even funny - avoid this hotel if you’re British at all costs! Do not say you haven't been warned!

Poor hotel for 3*. Food consists of chicken/pork twice a day for 14 days. No tea or coffee facilities in room. Maid service erratic, no room cleaned on one occasion.

Entertainment for kids only, adults beware. As I am disabled my husband had to go to the bar twice as they would not give you 2 drinks at 1 time.

Have been in lots of all inclusive hotels all over the world, this must be the worst.

A plus point - right beside bus stop, afraid that’s all its got going for it.

Well I can’t really say anything bad, the only thing that let the holiday down a little was the time we went.

The kids over there were on their holidays and there were a few groups of young Spanish teenagers, and they didn't have any consideration for other guests but they left a couple of days after we arrived.

Overall the staff were ok, the food wasn't too bad just expect the same nearly every night apart from one night a week.

There is lots of seafood but there is a cook making fresh burgers and hot dogs and chops, so if all else fails and you’re not keen on Spanish cuisine, then eat burgers and salad.

The entertainment wasn't that great but at least they provided for the kids. It was nice that there were a few pools, it spaced the people out a little.

The hotel rooms are nice and clean as is the hotel throughout.

The beach was a couple of minutes walk and seemed nice although quite busy.

If you want a cheap fun holiday in a clean and tidy hotel, then this is your place.

I would tell others to try but everyone is different. Hope this helps.

What can I say; when we arrived after paying £950 for a week all inclusive we received our room key an hour after we arrived.

They could not find our booking in details and did not like the cover note the accommodation operator gave us.

The room wasn't on a mid floor and it didn't overlook the pool as requested when we booked the holiday. It was on the top floor overlooking a nasty granny flat out the back. There was a single bed when there were 2 of us, 1 towel and one of those nasty half baths.

My partner had to complain not only to reception but to the Hotel Manager in order to get a room that was suitable.

I must admit the room we got given was fairly nice, 1st floor in the corner overlooking the pool area, full size bath, balcony and 2 single beds pushed together.

Few problems though...the noise of the night entertainment was loud up until 12 midnight every night and if you are a light sleeper like myself, the drunks rolling in all night aren't exactly what I would call quiet.

I even tried rolling towels up and putting them along the bottom of the door. As you would know this doesn't help much.

The food in the restaurant was very basic, a frequent dish seemed to be spam, and it was laid out for every meal serving. The rest of the food wasn't bad, very repetitive though.

The bar well you could only have the selected drinks which is to be expected being on all inclusive. Bit of a language barrier though. If you want extra ice or towels from the chambermaids you have to show them what you want. They don't speak any English what so ever.

Also if you wanted your beds made by the chambermaids which they get paid to do you may have to wait up until 5pm at night.

A lot of the time we would go out in the morning about 8am, come back after 3pm and find the room hadn't even been touched. By this time I had made the beds myself.

Overall it was an average hotel I guess. I won't be going back to this hotel in a hurry that’s for sure though.

Just arrived home from Salou today after spending 2 weeks in this hotel I am not happy or relaxed at all. On this review I will not exaggerate I will tell it as it is. On arrival hotel is clean and well kept.

Rooms average size and walls like paper so if it’s a good nights sleep you like its a bad place to stay. I complained about the noise on several occasions with no joy from the hotel staff. Dining room was small and crowded.

This hotel host a lot of nationality's which is mostly made up of Germans. The sky TV in the rooms has no English channels. (All German). No tea making facilities.

Maids clean rooms daily at different times so a cat nap through the day can be interrupted. Entertainment is rotated weekly so if you stay for 2 weeks be prepared to see the same things. My overall thoughts of this hotel are next to none.

Breakfast consists of continental and under cooked bacon and spicy sausage. Evening meal buffet style is as perusal ant a chef cooking fresh meats and fish (9 * to the chef) but very busy and crowded at times.

As a party of 27 family members, we set off to the Oasis Park with high hopes, some of our party having been the previous year.

What a let down from start to finish. Food was terrible, it was hard to find a warm meal at any sitting. You could tell from the night before what would be on menu.

Entertainment was also awful nothing for children (we had 12 in are party), pool area was not so bad apart from the wasps nest , which they refused point blank to do anything about with the result several children were stung.

Having been to Salou, several times and stayed in lovely hotels we found the Oasis Park to be of a very poor standard and would not recommend it to anyone.

This was the first time I’d ever been on an all inclusive holiday, I’ve been on two more since this holiday and I must say Oasis Park is rated as a 3* but I would say it was more like a 5* hotel. It was immaculate, spotless not a bit of dirt anywhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially at meal times, if you didn't like the food that was on offer, they had a chef who cooked other food that you wanted in front of you. They had entertainment on all day for kids and adults including a kids club and there was entertainment every night for the kids and adults. The hotel rep's organised the entertainment of a day and night, they were brilliant with the kids, and my kids loved it. I loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday in Salou. Excellent.

We are in our 50s and my husband and I had an excellent 10 days at the Oasis Park. The location is great in the heart of everything and only a short walk to the beach.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly there are 3 pools and a full time life guard which is great. There is entertainment every night which was ok but nothing special, although the young kids loved it.

We went all inclusive and it saved us a fortune but the snacks were limited to a burger and a toastie and we didn’t think the food in the restaurant was of a good standard even for a 3 star but maybe we’ve been spoiled in the past.

All in all I could fully recommend this hotel and we would go back there if we visit Salou again.

My wife and I are both in our middle 50s and have just returned after 10 nights at the Oasis Park. The Hotel is in a good spot on the main drag close to numerous shops and bars although the beach is a 15 min walk down the road.

The hotel is very nice and clean and all the staff were very friendly there were three lifts and seemed to be new as they were very fast and efficient. The pool area is very nice with a full time lifeguard every day making sure of no rowdyness. The clientele is very mixed with Spanish and a mixture from all over Europe including Russia.

The two things that disappointed us most were the quality of the food that was really poor even for a 3 star and the Quality of the night time entertainment which was very poor unless you were a 5 year old child, and considering most people were on all inclusive and stayed in the hotel at night this was very disappointing.

Finally on the subject of all inclusive the choices were very limited in the bar and a lot of the drinks had a 2 euro surcharge on them ie dark rum were white rum was free and the food provided all day was limited to Burger, toastie and chips.

Overall I would recommend this hotel to couples with younger children and people who are not to fussy about their food.
