Hard Rock Hotel

We stayed at the Hard Rock from Saturday, June 7 - Wednesday, June 11th and loved it. Best thing about it was the easy access to Universal. The kids (9 and 6) loved the water taxis. Being able to go to the front of the lines at Universal since we were staying at one of the Unversals 3 hotels was great too and made our disneyworld visit not as fun since we didn't have that luxury there. My family had the best time at the Hard Rock Hotel. The staff is so accomadating. We had no complaints, even the decor keeps you interested. The pool is so relaxing and even has music playing under water. The slide was out of service while we were there and that was a disappointment but that was the only thing that fell short. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean. This truly is a great place to stay. We can't wait to go back.

living only 2 1/2 hours from orlando, my wife, 5 year old son and myself have been to orlando countless times deciding to stay at the hard rock hotel for this trip (june 4-8 2003) turned out to be a great decision we can attest to all of the great benefits already pointed out by most reviewers here - proximity to universal's attractions, front of the line access and a wonderful family pool are all true- no specificis to be read here, feel free to email me for any, but i know we'll be staying there many more times

We went the first week of March, 2003. The only negative aspect was a slight problem with getting all of room keys at checkin. We had to visit the guest relations desk 3 times to get it right. Otherwise, it's worth the extra money to stay on site while doing the Universal parks. The room keys getting us to the head of the line was incredible. Only a very few attractions didn't use it. Went here in Nov. 2002 with another family and absolutely loved it! We were dreading the whole "Orlando experience", but staying here had many advantages. You could exit the resort from a gate just beyond the pool area where a lit path ( 5 minute walk) takes you to CityWalk, Islands Of Adventure and Universal Studios. Staying at a Universal Property affords you the benefit of going on all the popular rides with hardly any lines to contend with ( a big plus with kids and adults alike). This place was AWESOME!!!!!!! We had a perfect 3 days there. We were there during a very slow week, and the hotel was still staffed very well, and there attention to detail (the staff) was extrodanary! I can not say enough about this place. Service was top rate, it was clean, and everyone was very friendly. They more than exceeded our expectations!! Disney World needs to watch out...Universal has caught on!

This hotel was awesome. The food,service. It was beautiful. Universal,citiwalk,adventure island were minutes away,just a walk. The saying holds true you get what you pay for!!! I have older children and they loved it. Alot of little children,that was a little annoying,but it is a family resort. We were there easter week so it was very busy,but our fast pass made getting on the rides a breeze.

What a great vacation! The Hard Rock Hotel has a great pool, food and service. And the best part is that you can walk right into the Universal Parks in minutes!! The express pass in the parks is incredibe, we went during Easter break and did not wait on any lines. And we did not have to wait for seating in the restaurants at City Walk, all we did was show our room key and we were seated as soon as the first table became available. Definately worth the money spent for the hotel. I can't wait to go back again!!

I stayed at The Hardrock Orlando from 3/12-3/17/03. Overall, I found the hotel decor and grounds impeccable. My main complaint was that the food and drinks were hyper-inflated and limited in choice. Nothing is under $10.00. You want a mixed drink at the pool..$10.00. How about a burger...$10.00. That bottle of water in your room...$6.00. And don't even think about raiding the mini-bar in the room...you'll have to tap into your home equity line of credit to pay for it. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is free.
