Staff is hostile and unaccommodating. We didn't have telephone service at all for several days and yet we didn't receive any kind of credit. Wireless internet is a joke - frequently doesn't work, and when it does, it is dial-up speed. Useless. Rooms are insanely noisy and... more

Been holidaying at Bahama Bay for 5 years now and cannot fault it!!
The Grand Bahama condos are fabulous just been newly re furbished and was like a 5
star hotel.
The swimming pools are well kept and the service of staff was excellent.
Easy access to Disney and malls for great shopping.
Will be returning again definately next year.

First of all, I am a child under 13. On a number of occasions me, my brother and parents have visited Florida and stayed at BAHAMA BAY! The apartments are all very clean and tidy. There is: 1 room with 2 single beds and 2 rooms with 1 double bed(one of which has an... more

Last year was our third time at BB, and each time, it has been fab. Paid a $200 deposit when we got there, but it never even showed on my card. 2nd floor apartment, loads of room, and although it's about a 20 minute drive from Disney, it seems to be great value when you... more

I can't believe people have given this resort any seriously negative reviews. Apart from being a little hard to locate at night as it wasn't listed on my SatNav, it was pretty close to perfection, and I am a tough judge. There was building work but this was never carried... more

Well I went three years ago, and this place was great. Stayed on the ground floor. Could not remember a noise issue. If you do go to Florida do expect mums, dads and children getting up early to go the parks. Thats why most of them go to Florida. I am going again in two... more

Great Place to Stay
We stayed at the Bahama Bay from January 11-18/04 and we loved it! It was beautiful, clean, spacious, and brand new! We went as a family and it met all of our needs. It was actually much nicer than in the brochure pictures! The condo was brand new and was so clean that it had that "new home" smell. The staff was friendly, and it was very close to Disney, which made the drive much easier! I was very impressed with the resort and would recommend it to anyone!
Would do it again
We stayed during the "off" season - mid January 2004. Weather was somewhat cooperative, but with the heated pool and hot tub very close by, the chill didn't bother us. Staff was very nice and helpful. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable. Remember, daily ceaning is up to you unless you pay an additional maid service fee. Washer and dyrer were far enough out of the actual living space that the noise wasn't bad. The section we were in was not full during our stay, so it is hard to say what the noise from neighboring rooms is like. When planning, make sure you find a grocery store (several are very close by) and stock up on the essentials -tp, paper products ect. Couldn't beat the price, we would stay again at Bahama Bay or perhaps another Resort Quest property.
You Won't be Sorry!
We booked a 3-bedroom unit over the Christmas holidays based on the information I received from the web site and tripadvisor. Although Bahama Bay was a little difficult to find, it was all that we expected and more. Nicely furnished and decorated. Very clean (even by Mom's standards), with a small screened porch off the master bedroom and off the living area. There are two lovely pools, with the largest at the club house. Everything is nicely landscaped. John, the bartender, kept things lively at night by the pool and included family members of all ages in the entertainment. He really made us feel welcome, as did all of the staff. Although we had an initial problem with the unit phone, a property maintenance guy was there right away and acted as an informal "ambassador" for area attractions. We visited Epcot on Friday after Christmas, and even with all of the traffic, we were able to get back to the resort within 30 minutes of leaving the park following the fireworks. Yes, Bahama Bay is out a little further than some of the other resorts, but after fighting the "commerical strip" on Highway 192, it is worth the drive to be back on "island time". We had relatives who traded for a time share through RCI. The RCI unit was much older, smaller and further away than Bahama Bay. After spending Christmas eve together at our unit, we'll ALL be back to Bahama Bay. PS Bring your own paper products, including toilet paper. Not to worry, there is a very nice, new Publix supermarket less than a mile away.
Fantastic, little hard to find
Arrived late and had to pick up key from offices, Offices were a junction after little china turn off on I192. Booked on Expedia which was confusing as the map shows the location of the offices and not the resort. This caused a tad of confusion. The offices are called RESORTQUEST, and can be seen from the I192. The Bahama Bay resort is beautiful from the offices it is back on the I192 to the I27 head South, the turning for Bahama Bay is easy to miss a little lane on the left and comes on you quickly. There is a sign for Devenport Lake on the left. Bahama Bay is towads the end of this lane on the left. We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, The AK lodge, The Peabody, but for value and facilities this resort was excellent. There were not many people around but the apartments are new and very spacious and well maintained. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation. Tim
So many amenities for so little $!
We stayed in a three bedroom platinum level condo in November 2003 and were extremely impressed. For just around $120 a night, we got a clean, spacious, well appointed condo with HUGE luxury baths, a fully equipped kitchen, two screened balconies on a property that was beautifully landscaped. When we were there, two pools, three jacuzzis, a health club and spa and poolside bar were open, but more ammenities are undr construction. One caveat: The resort is actually about 20-25 minutes to most of the Disney attractions, not 10 minutes as advertised. However, we used a little known shortcut to the Animal Kingdom Lodge that put us 10 minutes door to door to that resort and park. Initial check-in at the ResortQuest office (which looks a bit run down and cheesy) left me wondering if booking online was not such a good idea. But don't despair! The resort itself is a five minute drive away and is pristine. If you don't mind being in the rather undeveloped portion of 192 in an area of orange groves, technically just outside of Kissimmee, this has got to be the very best deal around!
Awesome resort, awesome location
I agree with the reviewer from Rochester. This place is fantastic and you will not be disappointed. We booked a 2-bedroom platinum, but were bumped up to a 3-bedroom platinum as no 2-bedrooms were available. The condos are huge. They have 10 ft ceilings, and the bathrooms and master bedrooms are huge!!! The place looked new, and they have full kitchens and, most essentially for a family - a washer and dryer. The location is west of Disney, about 1.5 miles south of the intersection of 27 & 192. It only takes 15 minutes to get to Disney, and since you are west of Disney you don't get much traffic. There are 2 grocery stores (Publix) less than 1.5 miles in either direction. Bottom line - if you have a family and you are going to Disney for a few days, stay here and you will not be disappointed. Best vacation experience ever!
Great Time!
We arrived to find a new, very clean and comfortable two bedroom condo that had plenty of room for two couples. We spent many evenings at the bar - the drinks were free while we were there, just had to tip the bartender - then sat in the large hot tubs that we had to ourselves. The place was very quiet since it is a new resort, not many people around. The place is out in the country so it is nice and quiet but surprisingly close to all the attractions (10-20 minutes - if no traffic). We all look forward to staying there again and seeing the progress the place makes, seeing the new restaurant, beach, water park, etc...to be built. And do remember to pick up some TP before you arrive as well as some bottled water to drink.
good resort
resort is 20 mins from international drive area,10 mins from disney ,when we were there drinks at the clubhouse bar are free just tip the the barman, pool was cool but made a report to staff the pool was heated, staff were very helpfull, villa was clean and still new the resort is still in con stution with second block being sold but dont let this put you off you would,t notice too much.planning on staying again
Amazing
We arrived late at night with 5 kids in tow. Picked up the keys at the ResortQuest office and then continued on to Bahama Bay (less than 10 minutes). The condo was amazing. We got one of the 3 bedroom platinum models. Absolutely huge! King bed in the master bedroom, double in one bedroom and two twins in the other. The place looked like it had not been lived in, exceptionally clean. All of the furnishings are first rate quality. The bathrooms and master suite are huge. The grounds were will done, we overlooked a pool and hot tub which were open 24 hours. There is a clubhouse with another pool and a bar (liquor license not yet issued so the drinks were free!). This is obviously stage one of a large, quality multi-phase development and they have undertaken efforts to make sure that first impressions are good ones. They were succesful. It is 10-12 miles door to door to the Disney parking lots, a straight shot down major roads. We did not encounter any traffic delays. For the money, I can't imagine a better deal.
No TP
This was a great vacation. We're coming back soon. A bit of advice--bring your own toilet paper and paper towel....they are not provided. Other than that...it was most enjoyable.
