Days Inn Maingate East

We stayed here 4 nights last week. It's not the greatest, but we got the room for $32.00 a night through (---) and that left us with some spending money for dinner. What do some reviewers expect when they pay that price for a room? The rooms were clean, the pool was fine, and we had fun at the Tiki Bar. The only complaint was a slow drain, but we lived with that. If you want a $200.00 room, don't stay here. If you want a decent place to crash, it's fine. One thing though, avoid the breakfast buffet like the plague!

The Reasons I keep Using This Hotel Are Price And Location. The Rooms are nothing specal but Clean. The Pool is huge and also clean. The CLASSIC CAR SHOW on weekends at OLD TOWN next door are GREAT! It's nice to enjoy yoursulf a little without having to drive . If you just want a place to sleep and plan on having fun elewhere, then this is the place for you. The TIKI BAR after 4pm is a good place to relax a little after a long day at the parks. I've stayed at a lot better hotels but I keep returning to this one. The beds would be better... more

I stayed in this hotel from the 19th August for 2 weeks in 2004. Just after hurricane charley had hit, we did not ring in advance to see if there was any damage there but when we got there we found that a wall had been badly hit in the 3rd block, but fortunately they had closed it down and we got a room facing the pool on the top floor. We stayed there this Jan '05 and we thought that it was very clean and comfortable. The rooms are well-equipped, and cleaned daily to a great standard. There and good cleaning facilities on site, which is very important for you's who are taking young children on holiday. Free b/fast is included in the prince but to be honest you would need a strong stomach. We would go there again.

Just stayed there Jan 21. Was afraid to stay there after reading bad reviews, but our room was very nice. No problems. Would reccommend to all. Didn't go in pool but others were in it. Everything was clean laundy, game room halls etc. Has elevator too. Room did have a small coffee pot & games for kids on the tv. Right next door to old town. Great price too. Across the street from Dennys, Western Siziln Steak house plus whatever you can think of in the area it had it.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights I had 2 different housekeepers. One was excellent and the other just didn't understand what clean meant esp. since my bed was made with the remote inside the sheets which obviously were never changed as long as that person cleaned my room. When I checked in there was alot of garbage behind the dresser in the room and the room did smell musty. The pool seemed very clean and well cared for. The exterior was clean but worn. Stayed for 2weeks in July\Aug 2003 family of five, ground floor room backing onto 'Old Town'. I have never felt so 'unsafe' in all of my life, cars were parked directly up to our windows on both sides. There was no cutlery or crockery provided-not even a kettle even though we had a kitchen. Eventually this was provided (for a deposit) but nothing matched and was badly chipped. The children enjoyed 'Old Town' and walking distance of restaurants was a plus but I would never stay there again, even though price was reasonable.

Have just returned from staying at this motel for two weeks. I can only pay compliments about this motel. Yes, it is a little tatty around the edges but for me the main thing was it was clean, the room was cleaned well everyday with fresh towels and sheets. The area outside around the pool was also kept very clean and washed down everyday. Any staff we had contact with were also very courteous and helpful.

I read these reviews and I should have listen to the that one that said do not stay here.!!! If your reading this please listen, and if you have allergies to mold I known you can not stay here. Just go ahead and book a Disney hotel and I known you'll have and nice place to come back to after a long day at the parks. Also the bus service they say they have to the parks doesn't work!!

I stayed at this property because my mother needed a hotel that would accomodate her Pomeranian. I also received a fantastic rate, as I am a travel agent. My mom's room was on the 1st level, and had a light moldy smell. Our room was on the 2nd level. When we first walked in, I wanted to cry. The room was overwhelmed with a moldy, rotten, stinky socks smell. Being 7 months pregnant made it worse. I do have to say that the room was relatively clean. The bed was lumpy.
