We were placed here by Best Rate beds after refused 'Catalonia Gardens'... The rooms are spacious but very dingey and not the cleanest!!!!!!! We shared the kitched with a lovel family of ants...good job we eat out!! This is a residential place and so lots of people who live... more

When we arrived to check in the reception was a bit manic (spainish holiday!!) but eventually we checked in and were upgraded to a two bed apartment which was great as there was 3 adults and a child. The overall accomodation is basic - but we didnt find this a problem.... more

When arriving at Los Peces it was not the best, we were told 24 hour reception and the shutters were down, when we was seen 1 hour later we had no reservation, the member of staff was very rude and insisted that we wouldn’t be staying there. Partly not all his fault... more

After reading reviews I was dreading my arrival. Strange layout of apartments, really large blocks. Room was clean, dated but we are talking cheap accommodation. Plenty of hand towels only one bath towel, but this was stated when I booked. Beds were clean and fresh bedding... more

Stayed in Salou before so we wanted to stay in the same area. Reception outside building which was just like a bureau change and was a key pick up for most apartments in the area.
Entrance to apartments were not very clean. Asked to put towels out on certain day to receive clean ones -never happened.

You will be disappointed... The reception area was unwelcoming and you had to part with 100 euro deposit which is alot to fork out straight away. The rooms were filthy upon arrival and No cleaning service provided throughout the week. Rubbish had to be taken down by you... more

This hotel is not a safe place to stay in. The door are open directly onto the street and the reception is around the corner. Anybody could walk in. There are cockroaches in the place. We were on the 4th floor - the decor is ok but it needs a facelift. If you are looking for a quite place to stay if you have small children this is not it. There were groups of young people staying there who were shouting nearly all night for some of our nights there. The outside areas are quite shabby with tiles on the ground never steam... more

The appartment was functional and clean other than for some reason the toilet hadn't been cleaned!! Strange! However, bought brush from supermarekt underneath and cleaned it myself. The microwave was useful and used it rather than hire a kettle. It's noisey - as would be any of the hotels or appartments on that road as it's a busy road down the sea front - 5 minutes walk away. Maybe take some ear plugs. teenagers will love it because its so accessible to everywhere. Can't have it all ways can you either you stay in a quiet hotel away... more

Stayed in Los Peces on 21--28 07 . Reception was suppose to open 24 hours closed at 12 p.m. Apartments were filthy on arrival. Only hand towles provided on first day. One toilet roll for the week. The bath was for a dwarf about 3 foot long . The lifts only worked now and again. We had to pay two euro fifty per sunbed per day. No kids club no bar or cafe need i say anymore dont go there.

This has been made out to be a really bad place. We disagree, we actually enjoyed it (and the staff we spoke to were nice and spoke English)! We found the apartment to be resonably furnished (modern microwave etc) espaiclaly givern the billy bargin prices (family of 5 inc Ryan air flight from stanstead c.550/7 days). We wend in winter 29 Dec - 5 Jan. 29 to 31 were noisey as there were lost of youngster celebrating new year. After that it became very quiet. A few of things to look out for 1. As you can see from the title a narrow miss read some reviews and OK booked for August. I was staying in Cap Salou and decided to go and look at the apartments what a shock we got when we arrived the outside looked terrible and when you walked through the inside worse. We put on a brave face and went to speak th the person in reception, friendly and helpful she told to have a look around the pool is detached from the hotel and you get to it from the road side which is a busy 4 lane road. we booked through budget travel we took our three children ages 9,3 and 15 months to stay in los peces.,our first impression of the hotel was not great as we came off the bus we saw a caged room which was the reception area which is supposed to be 24 hour but it closed at 1.30am we got our room 104 e and the lift only fit 1 person 1bag so we had to make a few trips as we had 2 buggys and 3 bags but we didnt mind that ,we were excited to be on our first hoilday abroad with our kids so we looked around the appartment which seemed nice and we... more

dont go out of season,thats the bottom line. the apartments are usually being renovated and in a state of disrepair therefore the top 2 floors of the six storey building are usually the ones in use,not suitable for kids as balconies are a sheer drop at entrance and exit no facilities are open within the complex,pool,mini golf.no lobby or receptionist. some long term tenants reside there out of season and there are some unsavoury characters in the area so nightime can be intimidating on the plus side close to beach... more

myself <husband and children stayed here easter 2005. Apartments are in a great location. When we stayed was out of season. although plenty of spanish teenagers. the apartments were o.k. although quite dirty, I think this might be due to the fact it was out of season. We got a really good price from alpha rooms so I think we got what we paid for. I think if we didnt have kids we would stay again for the great location. I suppose to sum up good, cheap accomadation.

Absolutely fantastic 2* hotel: clean cosy rooms with everything you need (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, livingroom and balcany)!!! I give also huge extra points that there was no irritating noise! Los Peces is also in a totally perfect location: very short way to the beach and just everything you need! And the view from the balcany is breathtaking! Receptionists were very nice and helpful, not rude at all!!!
