Hawthorn suites canada avenue is very good with free breakfast. But the same thing of egg and bacon every morning for two weeks gets pretty boring. The shuttle is also very un reliable; 1) was half an hour late evey day on every service. 2) Kept breaking down (twice a day at one point) 3) The shuttle drivers are very rude and ignarent!!!. The staff at the hotel on the other hand are very kind, helpful and are very polite. Over all it was a great holiday! Would recomend!

My family and I stayed at the Hawthorn Suites (International) - Canada Avenue during this Summer. I would like to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hawthorn Suites. All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future and would definitely recommend the Hawthorns to anyone wishing to stay in the Orlando area.
The location was great, just off International Drive (quiet road). They offered free shuttle transfers to many of the parks which was great as you could sit back and relax and let someone else drive you home after a busy day at a park.
The rooms were very clean and well equiped with everything you could possibly need for your holiday (definitely home from home and more...).
With the added bonus of a free hot breakfast every morning, it definitely set you up for the day. Thank you Hawthorns for a fabulous holiday!

When booking please be aware that there is 2 hawthorn suites on international drive with different travel agencies, we booked our first holiday with Thomas cook and we stayed at the hawthorns suites on international drive, canada ave.The staff was helpful ,the rooms were clean and lovely it had free breakfast which was nice,it has a wide range of foods to choose from along with free transport to and from the parks. We enjoyed this hotel so much we decided to go back the following year. We had no worries about the hotel because we knew what to expect. The day final comes and the nightmare begins this one was with mytravel. When we got to the hawthorn suites it’s a completely different hawthorn suites nobody had told us there were 2 hawthorn suites on international drive. This hotel was not up to standards it was dirty the staff wasn’t helpful and came across rather snotty, the rooms smells of damp and there was rubbish still under the beds which shows the cleaners didn’t do a good job! So just to let everyone know about 2 hawthorn suites and make sure they are aware before booking.

We stayed at this hotel from the 30 Aug 2007 until the 13 sept 2007. When we first arrived at the hotel my initial reaction was yeah pretty nice. As in the brochure here in Scotland we was told that we was going to get a cocktail hour and a continental breakfast each morning, which I thought was great. Once we had checked in we thought that we would walk into International Drive only to find that we was about 20 mins away and that the Hawthorn Suites in International Drive was the one we thought we was going to and we was staying at the one in Westwood Boulevard which no-one had told us about.
I found some of the staff ok, just 1 member of staff was no help at all and the information that she did give us was ok, but personally I don't know how she got the job. The hotel room was really nice it split in 2, between the bedroom and the living area. The pool was nice, but I only seen it get cleaned properly once in the 14 days that I was there.
The breakfast consisted of scrambled egg, sausages and potato wedges every day, so by the next week we went into International Drive and got a british breakfast from the World Cafe.
International Drive was lovely at night all lit up and always somewhere to eat, personally we loved the Pondarosa so def try there as you will really enjoy it.
We went to both of the shopping malls the one that I would recommend would be the once at Dixie Stamphead. We went to that show and I loved it, I went on my 21st birthday and was just so amazed, you have to try that also.
All in all the holiday was great and as was the hotel, just check thoroughly before you go as to which Hawthorn Suites you are going to that's all as this one DEFINITELY did not have a bar.

I found Hawthorn Suites to be delightful. 1 bedroom apartment, but big bedroom and lovely bathroom. Lovely reception, and nice big pool (although I never went in).
Helpful and friendly staff, lovely breakfast in the morning and in a nice quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of International Drive, but still within 1km from that very hustle. Very close to Sea World, and also right next door to the most amazing dessert restaurant ever!
If you are staying in Orlando, and definitely if you are staying in Hawthorn Suites, you have to try the Village Inn for their desserts! Lovely! Also a very nice fitness room.
Overall, a fantastic hotel, very much recommended.

This hotel was perfect, very good quality, clean and well equipped rooms containing full size fridge freezer (great for ice cream), dish washer, two TV’s, video, CD player etc, not that you use them all but very well equipped. Suite was also split into 2 rooms and a bathroom again great if you want to put the kids to bed. Hotel offered free continental breakfast and every evening there was 2 hours of free cocktails and beers, again good if your relaxing around the pool.
The staff were very helpful and the whole hotel was clean and tidy. We would go back here and the location was great because it was quiet but only 2 mins walk onto I drive, I believe there was transport to the parks available if you do not have a car and there's also a huge bowling place right opposite. - Perfect could not find anything negative to say about it if i tried.

Hotel was adequate for purpose of holiday somewhere to sleep after a long day away at theme parks. Tranfer bus for theme parks from hotel was absolutely filthy. Breakfast at hotel was basic only saw muffins once the whole two weeks i was there scrambled eggs were horrible ended up sticking to toast or cereal and coffee was awful too. Avoid the supermarket at the Gasoline station greedy sods. go to walgreens, and if your looking for somewhere good to eat when you arrive a couple of doors up from the hawthorn on the left is the village Inn great if you have kids do great breakfast too. If you like tea bring your own teabags and don't drink the water it is vile buy water from walgreens.
