My husband and I have just returned from a week at the Pineda Park Apartments - La Pineda.
The apts are bright and spacious and have everything you need in the kitchen for a self catering holiday - didnt have to hire anything. The rooms were clean on arrival - fresh towels every 2 days, bathroom etc was cleaned once only during the week. You are expected to clear away your own rubbish. We thought the 30 euro for the safe was expensive - there was no deposit returned. The cost of the ice-cream in the adjoining cafeteria is very expensive, between 2-3 euro - nightmare for families with small children! Overall it was a good complex with nice pool area, a games room, pool tables etc so plenty to keep you occupied if required. Would recommend these apartments to anyone, they are situated at the far end of the resort, which is all pretty flat and easy to walk around. The beach is excellent. Salou is only 10 mins away by bus if you want somewhere livlier.

Advice: In early May, La Pineda was very quiet - very little holiday atmosphere. Salou busier in daytime.
Activities: The Waterfront Bar/Restaurant - excellent food, reasonable prices.

Went on a late booking with my husband,never been to Salou was well pleased with la Pineda everything i read in other peoples comments were true these apartments are the best i have ever been too in any holiday,i was more than pleased when i walked through the door when i got there.Two bathroom/shower rooms comes in handy.Very friendly and helpful Rep does a very good job not in your face but there for you.Beautiful beaches local transport on your door step very cheap for fares very regular went to a few places.You must visit Tarragonna local bus takes you there for about euro 50 takes about 15mins beautiful great day out.Visited Barcelona amazing city very very busy not somewere to take the children.Lots of places to go near han d.If you fancy a CHIPPIE you must to a bus in to Salou and go to the CHIPPIE thats what it is called you can have a fish tea sitting in for 7 euros that includes bread and butter also any drink even a beer loved it portions very good but my husband could not resist the apple pie and custard afterwards.I am booking up for next year and will be taking my two daughters and there partners and my grandson cant wait.Only next time i will be requesting a pool view as our apartment was at the other side and we never got any sun,not really a complaint.

great apartments i would definetly go back, the food downstairs is not very good but restauarants around every corner.the staff are lovely entertainment every night, right across from the beach 5mins on a bus from salou near the niteclub la pacha which id well worth going to,great, been to la pineada 3times now definetly best accomadtion great location

These appartments more than exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are very spacious, and quite comfortable for holiday homes. Towels are changed every 3 days and a cleaner comes in every other 3 days ( I think that's how it worked, they were clean anyway!)
We had booked 2 appartments as we wanted plenty of space and privacy for our family of 3 and our 2 grandparents, however in retrospect the 1 appartment would have done us fine. The appartment has 2 seperate bedrooms (main 1 en-suite) and a seperate shower/ toliet room, a large lounge area with ajoining dinning room, and a seperate (well equiped kitchen- full cooker, micro, large fridge/ freezer), and of course a large balcony.
The pool and pool area were well maintained and there were ample beds so no rushing down at 6.30am to bag a bed!
The Admiral Bar/ Restaurant had an extensive menu, and we can honestly say we had nearly everything on it (the diets back on now!) and never had a single complaint. The staff were all very friendly and very accomodating in putting on Sky channel of choice for sporting events etc. A different act on every night, although only for 7 days, then repeated however we did find ourselves watching some again 'cause they were good. Only improvement I would suggest is maybe something on a bit earlier for younger kids- a mini disco or something?!
Will definately try and book this place next year.

Went here in 2007 it was brilliant then and in 2008 still brilliant.Apartments spotless,food excellent.The bar staff up to the usual high standard,definitely going back next year.The beach only five minute walk,and shops, chemists,amusements just around the corner from the Pineda apartments .The Admiral bar in the Pineda apartments is brilliant for food,other facilities include 1 swimming and 1 kiddies pool,a laundrette, gamesroom,internet,and sky TV . Portaventura is only 15 minute bus drive,Salou and Cambris 10 minutes.The Captains Table and The Waterfront bars highly recommended for excellent food and value for money.The staff very friendly,helpful and fun.Overall this is an excellent value for money holiday very relaxing ,friendly resort.

JUST RETURNED FROM A GREAT HOLIDAY AT LA PINEDA APARTMENTS.WE HAD A GREAT TIME.I HAVE TO SAY A MASSIVE HELLO TO CLAIRE , CAMMY AND THE REST OF THE STAFF AT THE BAR APART FROM SULKY STEFAN , WHAT A COMPLETE IDIOT. ANYWAY APARTMENT WERE BRILLIANT COULD NOT FAULT A THING (DIDN'T LIKE THE BEDS BUT THAT WAS ALL)

Just home from these apartments. Stayed with my husband and 3 boys aged 8, 6 and 2. They were fantastic. Very spacious and very clean. Had everything you need for self catering holiday, very well equipped kitchen. The Admiral bar of the hotel is owned by british people and the food is very good and great value for money. Camy the waitress was lovely, very friendly and always had a smile. All the staff spoke excellant english and if anythings not right in your room it is fixed very quickly. We had a broken patio chair which we reported just after we arrived and it was replace within a few hours. Would defo reccommend these apartments to anyone. Only downside was the amount of lilos, dingneys and rings in the pool sometimes, pool not big enough to accomodate all of these but still would defo go back. We had a late departure time and had to be out of our room for 10am, but the changing facilities were great, all you need to freshen up. Hope to return very soon.

Just back from Pineda Park Apartments they were excellent the best we have ever stayed in. Very spacious bedrooms with lots of storage space. en-suite bathroom was a bonus as we had four children. The rooms were spotless towels and sheets changed every other day. The pool was cleaned every night and the pool area was kept very clean. The Admiral Bar serves excellent food and prices are reasonable. The beach is about 5 minutes away along with supermarket. The only down side of these apartments was that the shows were the same each week. Would certainly go back to these apartments.If you have children there is a games room for them to enjoy and a small park round the back of the apartments.

Gorgeous apartments. The rooms were massive and comfortable. The pool was lovely too, and there were always plenty of sun beds. The weather was really great - so hot. Bus stop to Barcelona is 2 minutes from hotel. Beach and markets also really close. Taxis are cheap into Salou where all the clubs are. You can paerty until 6am without worrying about being locked out as there is always someone on reception. Had to pay a 10 euro deposit each when first arrived but got it back with no trouble at the end. Bar staff are friendly and food and entertainment were as expected.
Brilliant holiday. Would happily go back.

Just home since yesterday. We had the best holiday ever and will definitely be going back. The apartments were fantastic. Spotless and had every thing you could possibly need. Having two bathrooms was great as we have 3 children. The reception staff were excellent especially Joseph. Laura the rep was lovely too. The staff in the Admiral bar were so friendly and really lovely with the children. The pool area was a perfect size and very safe for children. The towels and sheets were changed regularly also. The resort was really close to Salou, Cambrils and Tarragona and the bus service was excellent. We took a Plana bus trip to Barcelona and the bus driver was so nice and gave us a lovely guided tour of the city. His name is Adrian. There is a waterpark very near the apartments and the girls had a ball at it. I would recommend it. The only let down would be the entertainment as the first and second week was identical. We missed out a few nights the first week as someone complained about the noise. The hypnotist was hilarious. There is also a lovely beach nearby and its never too packed which is perfect when you have small children. The little gift shops along the beach front are full of nice little trinkets. We ate at the pineda snack along the beachfront one night. Would recommend it. Our last night there there was a fireworks display. It was a lovely way to finish off our holiday. If you have children then this is the place for you.

Hi, We have been back since monday 21st and i must say everything was fantastic. We had read the reviews before we came out and we were delighted with it all. We have been going to the resort of La Pineda for 18 years it has been about 4 years since the last time we were here. The resort has changed slightly in 4 years there has been places we used to go but are not there anymore but, our usual haunts were there. Gordons bar and the best Irish pub in the resort Hennessays. The apartments (our house) were out of this world i don't have an en-suite in my house so that was a big plus and my daughter thought it was great having her own room and her own bathroom as well. The staff were fantastic and the Admiral well what can i say but fantastic to all who work in it. The rep was brilliant Laura she was great and only lives 10 minutes away from us. The entertainment was good but some person complained about the noise and we had none for 2 days but we got it back. The activities to go on where great jeep safari is a must and remember take water guns plenty of water take an empty 5 litre water bottle and keep filling up when you stop but, most important wear the oldest clothes you have got with you because you are going to get dirty and i mean dirty. As i said we have been back since monday and we are still trying to get the dirt out of our things we wore. Well thats about all i can say about wonderful La Pineda. You have to go and find out for yourself just how wonderful it is. Thanks for reading and happy holiday. PS, we are booked to go back next year. Until then adios hasta luego.

Initial room we were offered was Duplex style with marble staircase - not ideal with children and wet feet. The banister was also loose. They did allow us to move the following day but at a cost of fifty euro's. Next room was mutter better although as overlooking the pool it was quite noisy at night. Other than that the apartments were very comfortable with great air conditioning system. Entertainment was excellant the first week, but unfortunately the same programme was repeated the second week.

The aprtments are superb. When get off at the airport you are the first one to be dropped off at your hotel. The rooms are very nice indeed! You are near loades of shops and resturants it is perfect for families!

Advice: The beach is clean and is very big. Best pub is Hennasseys bar and Gordons bar.
Activities: The Victoria was a good resturant. Best places to go is Portaventura, Tarragona water parks
