" I visited the Beach Club Hotel the... "

I visited the Beach Club Hotel the year before in 2003 and my stay there was perfect to say the least...the hotel was perfectly situated away from the busy and noisy town centre and just yards away from the front of the hotel was the soft and golden sanded beach.

The beach was very spacious and not very crowded and the people who run the area of beach were very friendly and always put your needs first.

My hotel room at the time looked on to the beach and the view was breath taking. At night you could see the fishing boats out at sea, way along the coast of Torremolinos and the resort of Fuingerola lit up on the horizon.

The hotel dining area was very nice and had a great selection of food.
The hotels entertainment for kids during the day was excellent with all kinds of activities to choose from. Though I must say the pool area was quite crowded and busy with kids running about mad but what hotel doesn’t have that.

At night the entertainment would be outdoors and would consist of karaoke singing, dance routines and sometimes magic acts etc on their large stage situated at the poolside. When the entertainment finished roughly around midnight the hotel would lay on an indoor disco.

The hotel is situated roughly about a 20 minute walk away from the busy town centre where you'll find a wide range of pubs, clubs and restaurants. Its a long walk but a very pleasant walk indeed along the beach front.

The next year later i visited again, same resort, same hotel and again it was a great holiday. I cant wait to visit again as I’ve booked again with my wife and daughter. All in all a very enjoyable, relaxing and pleasant holiday. C'mon the Hoops!

" Went to beach club middle of... "

Went to beach club middle of November, whether wasn’t very good only 1 good sunny day though I think it had to do more with the aftermath of the weather that we had the previous week in UK.

The hotel is ideally situated by the beach, however it is on the edge of Torremolinos, but i have to say there is a bus stop outside hotel take you to town for 1 euro and a train station 5mins behind hotel also really good prices and my favourite mode of transport as train only goes to Malaga and back to Fuingerola so easy to use. You could also work to Torremolinos town probably take 15mins or so.
The hotel itself is great, good range of food i think geared up for British chips, pizza, lots of salads, veg and meat and fish and of course ice cream and desserts etc. What i like about the hotel catering is that you can eat almost all the way through the day and drink is available throughout the day too which is good because you don’t have to eat at set times.

The pool area is nice and the entertainment is ok. Although the hotel is clean the bedrooms are basic but comfortable.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, I have been to may hotels within my time through work also and feel that they offer the best deals for all-inclusive basis. Although I must say I don’t know whether I’d go peak time due to increase of children playing with lifts (only 4lifts and 10 floors), but that’s my opinion. Staff are friendly, and Thomson reps good.

Found Gibraltar trip good, well the first part anyway, priced quite expensive through Thompson, we did world war 11 tunnels and monkeys in morning which was great especially tour guide, the only 2 hours shopping in afternoon as have to leave early coz of customs and lots of traffic, also must add same shops as home with same prices, lots of jewellery shops too same prices for most.

Only good thing bout shopping part get 1 litre of vodka etc £5.50 and cigarettes for £6.00. Best tip try to go to Fuingerola market on a Tuesday bus stops right outside it very good bought loads.

" For the 4th year running we have... "

For the 4th year running we have enjoyed our family holiday here. Despite having made a bad name for itself in the past, thanks to people being ill (must be the food - couldn’t possibly be all that free booze!) the standard of hygiene and cleanliness was very good. There are plenty of activities throughout the day if you don’t want to sunbathe. And if you win any you enjoy the embarrassment of having to go up on stage in the evening to collect your winners certificate and a free bingo ticket! There is plenty for the kids to do and 2 huge swimming pools to keep them happy. The food is basic but quite sufficient. A great salad bar, pizza and burger bar, plenty of fish and meat, rice, potatoes, fruit and cakes with speciality nights. And of course good old chips! It’s just a shame they don’t have a few more Spanish dishes. If we can get away with squeezing a growing family of 5 into 1 room then we will definitely be going again.

" The Hotel is a bit remote from the... "

The Hotel is a bit remote from the town of Torremolinos but in all honesty that might have been a good thing in that I wasn’t tempted away from my sun bed, apart from the odd bit of archery and rifle shooting.

The food was excellent and the entertainment not quite as bad as I thought it might be. It was great for kids and all round an enjoyable holiday. Just get up early to beat the Welsh to a sun bed round the kids pool!!!
" The Hotel looked plush from outside... "

The Hotel looked plush from outside although some of the rooms had a poor decor the smoking policy in main access ways were frustrating especially when going to the dining room you had to pass through the smoking area of main bar. The food was plenty and variable with chef specialities every day. As expected fish dishes were plentiful along with other meet dishes. Cleanliness was first class, with alcohol wipes being served prior to entering the dining room.

Pools were plentiful although water rather chilly at this time of year plenty of space to relax, local bus service plentiful directly outside of hotel and staff cannot do enough for your satisfaction. A very enjoyable stay had by all of my family.

Tour rep from Thomson Holidays could have been more open on excursions especially the position of hotel being at the edge of town, but if walking and sea views is a pleasure then this hotel is the one for you.

" Our whole party of 7 was very ill... "

Our whole party of 7 was very ill with food poisoning whilst at the beach club, only there for the 1 week and spent the whole time ill Thomson’s reps told us to stay in our room so not to pass it on!

Thomson’s are not bothered nor classing it as an emergency situation, lots of elderly in this hotel at the moment from the uk.

a very un- hygienic place in public areas and at great risk of being ill as were ourselves and scores of others whilst we were there!

" The room at the Beach club was quite... "

The room at the Beach club was quite roomy although do pay to go into the annexe we viewed a room there and it tiny and the had no view, very old and the door did not feel secure.

The food was good going on very good. It could at times be a little cold but overall for all inclusive we were impressed. You were given wipes at the door for hygiene. The bars could get busy but we found you did not queue foe that long as the staff were very good. Entertainment, best thing was bingo you paid 1 euro for a game card and you could win up to 350 euros which was not bad.

Toremolinos itself is not a nice place, full of cheap shops, but the beach is very clean and the prom is really nice to walk along.

" We had an excellent holiday the food... "

We had an excellent holiday the food was really good we will
go there again as soon as we can go. We could not fault it in any way.

Plenty of choice of food, really good accommodation; most of the rooms had a sea view, three lifts to all the floors, and two good pools outside also a small indoor for children, also staff very helpful.

The hotel location was opposite to the beach all you needed to do was cross a road and you were on the white sandy beach. It was a little way out of the main resort it would suit people that like it a little bit quieter.

It had a local bus that stopped outside the hotel every 15 minutes that would take you into Torremolinos five minutes away, and a train service five minutes walk away that would suit more able bodied people that would take you anywhere you wish to go i.e. Malaga to get a link to other parts of Spain.

" The beach club is very clean and... "

The beach club is very clean and spacious, the staff pretty friendly. We were AI and the food to put it mildly was terrible, the kid’s menu was worse. It is pretty far from any other restaurants or bars, bus takes you up to Torremolinos (the Blackpool of Spain), will not be going back.

The entertainment at night was pretty rubbish aswell. We didn’t go on any trips as they left the hotel very early but we heard if you booked them across at the beach it was a lot cheaper. The beach was very clean and the loungers were excellent.
The kids club was very good for the kids they had a few night time activities but make sure you are there early. The only thing I really would say is if you enjoy greasy chips, food not heated properly and rubbish entertainment at night then book!!
