Although if you ever run out of toilet roll this is the hotel to be! they have tuns of it! what more could you ask for when you have the runs on your family holiday! i had also been voilently sick and my stomach lining came up on te plane hone i still had this food poisioning which was also quite embarasing has the seat belt light was on for quite a long period of time so had to hold it in!

Submitted By: Mr Jm Ryanyes the bug is still there we took every precaution not to get it no ice in drinks, bottled water,no meats at mealtimes and we all still got it (symtoms were painfull stomach cramps followed by severe vomitting then laid up in bed for two days feeling very ill no appetite for food water ,seriously it was very bad for the adults whats it going to be like for most familys if there younger child or worse babys got it I mean someone must close this hotel before a death occurs. We only stayed for 1 week most people we met had allready had the bug and were their for another week and by the end of our stay they had members laid up in bed again with the same bug symptoms.
gave this hotel 4 out of ten because yes the staff very friendly place always cleaned the rooms however had alot of black mould in the bathrooms and air condition maybe this is the cause of the bug and its airborn.
The entertainment at night was average just nothing for kids during the day because they have to be adults to do them but the funny thing is they charge you adult prices for the kids to stay at this resort.
Overall i would never go near this hotel again stayed at many resorts and hotels up and down spain hence coming from gibraltar and this was the worst the kids were even younger then and the activities are more or less the same but better and they did not have to be 18 yrs and over to do them!!!
To summerise then if you have kids that are 5 to 9 yrs old they can do the baby stuff like bean bag throwing connect four and drawing and want them to get seriously ill then send them here to the BUG HOTEL as the locals in torrelominos call it

Submitted By: Mrs V AddamsThat night after unpacking our clothes we headed down to the restaurant. On entering you have to wipe your hands with an antibacterial wipe. I thought this as being very clean but a tad over the top. I later realised why they were being so careful. The evening meals consisted of the usual chicken, fried fish, tasteless pasta, soggy pizza and, of course, chips. We found the next morning sausages, bacon, beans, toast etc. My husband and sons all tucked into the cooked breakfast while me and my daughter ate cornflakes followed by toast. Lunch featured more of the same meats and salads. I swear these are kept under the heat lamps for hours!! You can tell by the lukewarm chicken and the skin on the soups *yuck*!
We spent our first full day by the pool, although unable to get a sunbed as we weren't up at 5am with a towel! The boys had a great time in the pool, even making friends with some other boys their age. My daughter and husband also sampled the pool while I sat reading my book and catching a tan-bliss!
That first night after returning from the hotel entertainment (dismal by the way, unless you're over 70) my eldest son Owen started to complain of a stomach ache. I put it down to the two lagers we had allowed him at the bar and saw him off to bed. With the kids asleep my husband and I sat out on the balcony for a bit only to be woken by the sound of who we thought was Owen being sick in the bathroom. We got to the bathroom though and it was actually my daughter Jessica vomitting. The next few hours were hell, both my kids being violenty ill with the runs and sickness and only one toilet. I think the three of us got about an hours sleep that night.
The next morning my husband and youngest son went to breakfast as normal as I stayed in the hotel room with Owen and Jess. We didn't think it could have been the food making the kids ill as we had all pretty much eaten the same thing. We are careful people and wouldn't eat anything that doesn't look hygenic or properly cooked/stored. We do not have ice in our drinks when we go abroad and we don't get absolutely frazzled in the sun all day or drink until we are hanging. This wasn't over indulgence as stated by the comments below. By day three all of us had this BUG. I didn't appear to have it as bad as the rest of my family so I was the one sent downstairs to reception to ask what the hell was going on. The Spanish receptionist claimed not to understand my English, funny how she seemed to understand every word when telling me how much a deposit for a safe was at the beginning of the holiday! I finally got her to call me a doctor who took 3 hours of being sick to arrive. He told us that the Beach Club or BUG Club as some have aptly named it, has had this mystery virus lurking around for years. The Reps tell you that it is a problem with the whole of the coast and not just this hotel, but that is a LIE! No-one else on the plane home appeared ill while the majority of people who went to the same hotel we went to were throwing up and running to the toilets! The doctor charged us 90 euros for instructing us to drink flat coca cola and riding it out. We took immodium tablets but seriously, they didn't help!
If you are thinking of coming here or if you have already booked, please for goodness sake DON'T! We saw loads of people being taken out of the hotel in an ambulance to the hospital. We heard it was norovirus, gastro etc but since returning to the UK we still don't know what's wrong with us. My husband has lost his job due to his sickness record, a fact due to this BUG! My kids have had their summer holidays ruined as we are all ill. If I can help one person by this view then it will have been worthwhile expresing how angry I am at Thomson. They should remove this hotel from brochures immediately before someone dies. I'm not joking, I'm devastated.

" WHAT A BRILLIANT HOLIDAY!!
LOVED EVERY SECOND!!
ive just came back from here and had the time of my life with my family!
i booked it for me, my brother, my mum and dad.
Our room was amazing, it was spot less and the views were amazing and that was from the 3rd floor! We had our room cleaned every day and they did a fab job each time. The showers were really nice, i dunno about some people but when you go away sometimes the showers can be slow and a waste of tme, but it was wonderful and always hot water. Plenty of room to put all ur bits and bobs in the room too!
The hotel itself was fab, we had a lovely greeting when we arrived, and got into our room straight away, the staff were always avalibale when we needed them and helped us out if we needed any questions answered.
The pool was wiked, me and my brother were in there every day, its nice that there is 2 swimming pools, it made it less cluttered and you had a choice which side you fancied going in!!!!!! around the pool was fine too!
During the day the hotel puts on activites not only for the children but the adults too, there all good fun and different things to pick from.
The entertainment at night was amazing, we went for 10 days and each night there was something different, they variey it every 2 weeeks, and i think this is an amazing idea, it was brillaint each night. Your sat outside so ur nice and cool, while getting a hudge choice of drinks, you ask the bar men to make you a drink and they do it, they were so friendly and funny! The games room kept my brother and friends entertained also.
The food choice was also briilaint, it was different every night and day, i couldnt fault it. The staff were also friendly in there.
The beach over the road is also nice, theres a few water sport things to do and things are a not to far away, a bus, taxi or walk.
i couldnt fault this hotel at all.
what BUG are you lot on about, i think ur just looking to have a good moan.
i couldnt find nothing to moan about here, one of the best holidays ive been on, i would recommend it to anyone....go for it, you will NOT regret it!!
i wanna go back already! x :)

Next morning got booked in no problem, room was clean, nice view and was plesed. Two days later i was in agony in the middle of the night, continual gastro enteritis for 2 days, i soon learned i wasn't the only one, the hand wipes in the restaurant should have been a give away!
As i recovered my husband fell ill, he has epilepsy and due to his medication not staying in his system on the second day he had 7 seizures and was taken from the hotel to hospital where he spent the next 6 days, couldn't travel home and ended up travelling the length of Spain by train as he was unable to fly.
The hotel staff were very good, the maids even brought us water to our room when they heard we were ill, the manager (Paco i think) was amazing when my husband took ill, i couldn't fault any of them along with a brilliant nurse from Hull who helped too. Hotel arranged ambulance to private hospital though, cost an arm and leg and should have been given option to go to public one, the insurance are still quibbling over it all!
All in all the location was amazing, the entertainment pretty good most mights, but really Health and Safety should shut down this restaurant, the food stays warm all day, obviously re heated at night and for all the comments about people blaming the alcohol and the sun on the problem, get real, i certainly didn't get my money's worth with free booze, didn't feel well enough to enjoy it, had tea most nights (yes and i'm stll in my 30's!!!) never heard of on holiday.
Definately a big problem, as with other guests, there were many in the same boat, god love you if you bring children to this place, BEWARE
