Corfu Sea Gardens

Truly an awful place.
Sewage smell for entire 10 days. Given what looked like staff accomodation initially. 3 days to move us to the main "complex".
Food awful. Not fit for consumption by animals. Brits not favoured, place overun with surly looking Slovaks and Romanians.
Got food poisoning from Pork on 3rd day.Spent 500 euros on eating out after that.
Would reccomend the Rose Tree Taverna, Venus, and in Kavos the Drunken Squid.
Informed 12 hrs before departing that our original hotel in Benitses was double booked, so they could only send us to "NED Central, Kavos.
Also staff at Hotel (term loosley used!) informed us that beer and spirits were watered down. Even the ketchup in the dining hall was watered down. I know, cos I compared it to the same bottle at the Rose Tree Taverna.
Also staff not been paid for months, and the owner has scarpered with 300,00- euros deposit money from Hotels4U and left the manager to run on a shoestring. Hence why the Slovaks and Romanians are favoured.
So, avoid this hotel at all costs and if you have already booked then change!
Oh, the guys at the ASPRO KAVOS watersports centre were excellent. The only plus point of the debacle of my holiday.

Do not go! this was an awful holiday, not a 4 *on arrival we were put in 2 cattle sheds, plaster falling off the walls, no shower curtain, shower not fixed to the wall, light fittings hanging from the electrical wire! We did get moved into "better" evnentually. The food was awful, flies everywhere along with the filth. We spent over £8oo for the 5 of us to eat out most days, thank you to The Rose Tree a family Taverna just up the road- we met some wonderful people who also ate there every night with us (FROM SEA GARDENS) drinks were watered down, confirmed by the bar staff. The entertainment staff were lovely- tried really hard to keep our chins up (they had heard it all before!) apparently the manager is trying to save money!! he must be a very rich man. i could go on and on, don't waste your money going to the sea gardens i would say it just scrapes a 2*

I scored this as a 3 just for the entertainment team, they were there from 10.30 in the morning and kept the kids and adults entertained all day.
As for the rest of the holiday it was awful. The food was disgusting the flies were rampant in the resturant the food was more or less the same everyday. my husband didnt eat there at all, we went out every evening and quite a few breakfast to"The Rose Tree" a short walk from the hotel, dimitri who runs it is lovely and his food excellent he saved us. The drink was watered down. and the toilets were a disgrace they were not cleaned enough as the bins over spilled and the floors would be soaking at night with urine and water. when you did complain about anything we were told that it was down to the manager and he wasnt helpful.

This is the worst holiday iv ever been on. Firstly the night security man is very rude, we werent showed to our rooms on arrival, just given our room numbers and told to find them ourselves. When we finally did, the toilet did not work, no shower curtain and ants everywhere. We went for breakfast the following morning and there were flys sitting on the food, which obviously put me off, therefore we ended up paying for food elsewhere. On the plus side, everyone in the restaurant is very friendly and welcoming. The pool area ia nice, but the beach is absolutely awful what with it being man made! We returned to the room and as I opened the balcony door a stray cat came into our apartment and made itself at home on top of the air conditioning compartment on the ceiling and would not budge! I had to go to reception to get someone to remove it, I couldnt sit on the balcony of fear of the cat coming back! Corfu sea gardens is a mission from kavos town and we ended up getting a taxi a few times, but it was a rip off at 8 euros! and the bar reps get sooo annoying trying to grab you into their bars, I ended up pretending i wasnt english towards the end of the holiday. Harris is lovely, not rude like other reports have suggested and he'll always say hello.ALSO A WORD OF WARNING THERE ARE SEPERATE APARTMENTS FROM TE ONES YOU SEE IN BROCHURES ETC. AND THIS IS WHERE WE WERE PLACED, WELL OUT OF THE WAY OF THE ACTUAL COMPLEX! All in all this holiday was awful!

well! i went for 10 days and it was brill! the food wasnt good though but there was plenty of restaurants or cafes to get meals. there were plenty of british restaurants to choose from. the hotel was clean and tidy, the maid came in every morning at 8am with fresh towels and clean sheets. there wasnt a problem with the hotels we didnt get any wasps but just got mosquitos all the time. there was something to do for the kids and every one, also we had a good time on the beach with all the watersports such as parascending and the banana boat. i loved every minute of it and the holiday reps were always entertaining us.

first of all i would reccomend you visit this place as there was the fulfilment for everyone and the animations team:kt, leanne, daniel, catherine were all a good laugh in and out of the resort.
however the two donwfalls of the holiday was the arrogant barmen 'harris'. he will get on your nerves and the other issue was the beach, could of cleaned it up a little and cleared the seaweed
Kavos town is the best. loads of good deals every night of the week and all the barstaff in the town are chatty and polite
i personally went to town to party but there is loads more to do

Me and my sister Amanda both from Malta just got back from a 1 week holiday in Kavos - Corfu.
The Hotel was nice... big pool and well kept surroundings, rooms were cleaned daily, and all the staff there were really friendly and welcoming... always with a smile on their faces and always there ready to help you out in whatever you need. The restaurant is run by Kostas mornings/afternoons and Spiros afternoons/evenings who always asked us if everything was ok...food was good too i guess people that complain are just people who are hard to please. There was daily evening entertainment suited for children early evenings and adults after. Drinks and cocktails were good too. The pool bar was always manned at all pool opening hours and again the staff was really nice and joke a lot...keep it up Xapie (sorry mispelt) - Yamas :-) Big thumbs up from our part and will definately stay there should i visit Kavos again.
We wanted to go to a partying destination and were very satisfied...best holiday ever...hotel is situated about 25 minutes walk from the main strip so we took a taxi daily to take us to and from the night scene which was not expensive at all.
Thanks to everyone who made our holiday there super

kavos was fantastic!! we went with the family, my girlfriend and my brothers friend, it was the best holiday we have ever been on we all had a great time. i dont know what all these people were doing that have given sea gardens a bad rating, the hotel was great the entertainment was great the food was lovely and the positioning of the hotel couldnt of been better, right on the beach next to the water sports and a 5-10 minute walk from kavos town centre. We are going back this year me and my girlfriend and its the 3rd year straight that ive been :D. Dont listen to all the crap reviews and ratings they full of [--]! if you are looking for a holiday in the sun with a great night life then get it booked!! recommended to everyone, we had a great time!!

I think that we made the right choice by going to Corfu Sea Gardens, it was in a perfect position right on the beach! It was nice to have our own entrance to the room. The staff were always happy to help, and polite. The wasps were a pain but not the hotels fault. The pool was huge. We defintely recommend going here on holiday. We will definitely go back!!!

Where do I start? We stayed a week, well, we didn't as we didn't land till 4 AM Tuesday, yet we still had to pay 25euro for an extension which we didn't get till 1:30pm and had to be out of by 6pm.
The food was adequate most times, the rest just plain pointless. The bar was awful, plastic cups, arrogant staff and queueing for 2 drinks and having to queue again if you needed 3 or more.
The entertainment team (Katie, Esther, Alan and Gina) were great, they really tried and some of the night shows were fantastic and its unfortunate everything took twice as long so it could be translated for the German guests.
Our apartment wasn't cleaned once all week, we got no change of towels or bed linen, which is a disgrace! at the best. The room was spacious but the air conditioning didn't work, the back doors didn't lock and there was no way to keep the mosquito's out. I have 39 bites (and counting) from just one week. And the wasps make the stay very uncomfortable as you cant escape them at all. The best bet is to go into Kavos during the hottest parts of the day.
Kavos itself consists of bars and medical centres mainly due the the cheapness of drinks and the amount of drunks about. One to avoid is a pint of "HeadF*cker" consisting of 6 double shots, for only 5Euro, the height of irresponsibility if you ask me.
I spent most of the week in the hotel across the road "Ionian Sea View" a lovely hotel with helpful friendly staff, day and night. Plus, they served 24 hour food which was worth paying for even during the short "all-inclusive" hours at the Sea Gardens.
I read the reviews as I booked and thought "it cant be that bad, and overall, it is". I really don't recommend anyone to stay here.
