The Hotel Sol Don Pedro is one of three in a complex. The other two hotels are the Hotel Sol Don Pablo and the Hotel Sol Don Marco. The facilities of all three hotels are available to guests.
This is a very clean hotel with very friendly staff and well located being opposite the beach.
One downside is the restaurant. There is a good selection of salads and desserts but quite poor when it comes to hot meals, there is just not the choice and it is never what you would call hot. We found the breakfasts to be better and with plenty of choice.
The other point about the restaurant is that when guests have finished and leave, tables are not re-laid for guests coming in for a meal, so you have to sit at an empty table and wait for a waiter to provide you with your cutlery etc which can be a nuisance.
With regard to our room we found was that because we were on the top floor, we could hear the generator above us and it could be irritating, especially at night and also our room was right next to the lifts, so we could hear them going up and down.
In general, the walls are quite thin so you could hear the toilet next door flushing! And the corridors are tiled, so sound tends to echo but it was not a problem at night and we were never disturbed by guests arriving back late.
The cleanliness of the hotel and the very helpful and friendly staff more than made up for any other little irritations.
The bar is very nice with friendly waiters. The entertainment could have been worse. Most nights it was provided by some of the hotel staff and we think they did quite a good job.
For the smokers there are three smoking rooms in the complex, all air-conditioned. This has only been so since January as the smoking ban in Spain has been more or less lifted.
We would definitely go there again and will probably do so in the next six months and would recommend it.

Returned last night after spending one excellent week at this hotel. My husband and I are quite young sixty something’s.
Every aspect of this hotel far exceeded our expectations in every respect. The whole complex is exceptionally clean, gardens and facilities superb and food very good.
The only thing that could have been improved on was the room. Although very clean and comfortable, could do with a bit of updating, but for the amount of time we spent in the room it was that important.

This was the fourth time which we have stayed at the Sol Don Pedro (plus another twice at the Sol Don Marco, which is part of the same complex).
The Hotel is in a great location, opposite the beach and close to numerous bars, restaurants and shops, and is only about 10 minutes by taxi from Malaga airport (15 Euros fare).
As with previous stays, we cannot fault the Hotel on the quality of its facilities, staff, accommodation, and activities.
The buffet-style breakfast and dinner, although good quality, can be a bit monotonous though, and the evening entertainment tends to be amateurish, but we knew of these in advance.

My wife and I found this an excellent hotel. The food was very good freshly cooked with a good variety of meats & fish and mostly fresh not frozen vegetables. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh linen about every three days.
The entertainment was good though you have watch you change from the bar. The pools and area where kept very clean. The hotel is in a complex of three hotels that you can use at will. An all round good holiday

The room was clean, tidy and comfortable; the staff were friendly and helpful.
The food however, was at best boring. Too bad such a lovely hotel with great other amenities is let down by the lack of imagination and thought to its menu.
There is plenty of information regarding activities and evening fun, and they were always on time and great entertainment.
